Here's a topic that I think could be real fun! What's your favourite episode from each season? Here are mine!
Season 1: A Thing Without Rats - of course, the other four episodes are probably rated higher than most of the shows from the other seasons but I really like 'A Thing Without Rats'. 'Turtle Tracks' is a near second with 'Enter: The Shredder' in third.
Season 2: Return Of The Technodrome - I really like the four part thing in Season 2 but I think I might have played it too much because now I usually skip over it. I hate to go to the end of the season to pick a favourite but I really like this one!
Season 3: The Big Break In/The Big Blow Out - This one was really tough because there are few episodes that I would rate lower than 5/10 but then there are few that I'd give higher than 8/10 and the fact that there are so many episodes in Season 3. There are a lot that I really like like 'Green With Jealousy', 'Michaelangelo's Birthday' and 'Blast From The Past', which is always one of my favourite ones.
Season 4: What's Michaelangelo Good For? - I always loved this one. When I was younger and I know what episodes would come on weekday afternoons before they came on, I would make sure I was home to watch this one. I love it because Michaelangelo is the one that saves the day in a season where he was really underappreciated! I also love 'Splinter Vanishes' and 'The Dimension X Story'. 'Rebel Without A Fin' is the most boring episode of the entire series, I think.
Season 5: My Brother, The Bad Guy - Any episode where the technodrome moves is a winner in my book but I really like this one because it includes stuff from Shredder's past, which was always fun, and I liked Shredder's brother. Other honourable mentions go to 'Donatello's Duplicate' and 'Michaelangelo, The Sacred Turtle'.
Season 6: Adventures In Turtle-Sitting - I really like this entire Season too. Saturday morning episodes on CBS, for me, was defined by Season 6 episodes. My choice was a really close choice because nothing stands out as being better than anything else because most of the episodes are enjoyable.
Season 7: The Legend Of Koji/Shredder Triumphiant! - I can't choose one over the other. I REALLY liked the 'Koji' episode. It should have been a two parter. I love episodes when they involve the past. I also really love 'Shredder Triumphiant'. For years, I thought it was the actual series ending (until I found the ninja turtles website) and I think it would have been a better ending than the actual one. I love the sword fight that occurs between Shredder, Leo and Raph. Season 7, like Season 6, is another one of my favourites because of all the different situations they got in to that we never would have seen in Season 3 and 4.
Europe Season: A Real Snow Job - The Europe episodes were really different from what we were used to. I liked how the voices within the technodrome echoed. Hehehehe. For some reason, 'A Real Snow Job' always stood out as my favourite.
Season 8: Turtle Trek - This was my real goodbye to Shredder and Krang officially (even though they do return) and I love, again, the Technodrome moving. It's even a pink colour now, hehehe.
Season 9: Split-Second - I don't have a real favourite in this Season because I've only seen it once but I chose 'Split Second' because, I think that's the one where we see the least of Dregg. The back guy, is a guy that is actually human. As someone stated before, by this time, the show was too Hi-Fi for me. Star Trek didn't belong in here and I guess that's why the last 3 seasons didn't appeal to me much.
Season 10: Mobster To Dimension X - Seeing Shredder and Krang again is a HUGE relief at this point since, in normal episode watching time, it would have been almost two years since we seen them. Too bad they don't stay a while but it's nice to see them again! I also like the final episode because we get to see the technodrome, Krang's body and a weird FREAKY alien that looks like Krang's body!

I would say during the time the cartoon was on and I watched it (1991 - 1992) I probably saw the equivalent of three or four season's worth. Trouble is I don't remember much of them, so I'll just note my favorite episodes so far that I've rewatched.
Turtle Tracks (1987)
Can't beat the first episode, great music, great story, great action and a cool vibe to the whole thing. That whole part with the building flooding with water is great. I also like the beginning too, with April's attack and rescue by the Turtles.
Enter The Shredder (1987)
Not animated as well as the first episode in my opinion. Still, the story is great and my it was cool to see how Bebop and Rocksteady got their mutations and all. I remembered this one for a long time however, so I've probably watched it a zillion times.
The Shredder Is Splintered (1987)
Well worth watching to see an actual dual between Splinter and Shredder. The fight with Bebop and Rocksteady was funny.
The Incredible Shrinking Turtles (1988)
Another fight between Shredder and Splinter and a good story all-around.
Enter The Fly (1988)
Baxter's transformation into a fly and probably one of Shredder's better schemes. He came pretty close to winning with April almost dying without that plant.
Cowabunga Shredhead (1989)
This one is really quite silly, but its too cool to not like. Shredder getting turned into Mikey and acting like him is priceless.

Season 1 (1987): "Enter the Shredder"
I loved how they introduced Rocksteady and Bebop!
Season 2 (1988): "Splinter No More"
I always found it interesting how this was the only time we ever saw Splinter as Hamato Yoshi. I just wish they had made a better plot out of it, like have him get a job at Channel 6 or something.
Season 3 (1989): "Michaelangelo's Birthday"
I always felt that I could relate to Mikey, which is why I really enjoyed that ep!
Season 4 (1990): "Funny, They Shrunk Michaelangelo"
I always got such a kick out of this episode, especially during the cat and mouse type chase scenes.
Season 5 (1991): "Donatello's Duplicate"
This episode always had a very intriging sensation to it. Like you wanted to see what this evil version of Don was going to do.
Season 6 (1992): "Leonardo is Missing"
This ep was really cool! The oly thing I wish they had done was have Leo actually run into Bebop at the time he was cloked to look like the turtle.
Season 7 (1993): "Revenge of the Fly"
This was another one of my all time favorites. It was just so cool the way Baxter went around mutating people. And you just knew they couldn't do that to any of the turtles, otherwise there would be no way to reverse it without tunring them back into ordinary turtles.
Season 8 (1994): "Cyber Turtles"
I remember this episode coming out the same time TMNT Adventures did their 5-part story which had the Future Turtles don similar outfits and both versions were very cool looking!
Season 9 (1995): This season wasn't too good.
Season 10 (1996): "Turtles to the Second Power"
This had to be the coolest idea, having two of each turtle in one place fighting the same villians. One thing I wish they had done differently though was figure out a way they could've utalised amination from 1989 so the TMNT of the past could have been from further in the past (it would've made it easy to tell which turtle was from which time).

Boy, this one's a toughie. There are so many episodes that I like from all the seasons! :) But I'll try to limit it to one episode from every season.
Season 1: 1987: "Enter: The Shredder" and "Shredder is Splintered"
Season 2: 1988: "Incredible Shrinking Turtles" and "Invasion of the Punk Rock Frogs"
Season 3: 1989: "Turtles at the Earth's Core" and "Mr. Ogg Goes to Town"
Season 4: 1990: "Plan 6 from Outer Space" and "The Big Cufflink Caper!"
Season 5: 1991: "The Turtles and the Hare" and "Once Upon a Time Machine"
Season 6: 1992: "Too Hot to Handle" and "Mr. Nice Guy"
Season 7: 1993: "Night of the Dark Turtle" and "The Starchild"
Season 8: 1994: "Get Shredder!" and "Turtle Trek"
Season 9: 1995: "The Unknown Ninja" and "Split-Second"
Season 10: 1996: "The Power of Three" and "Divide and Conquer"
Okay, so I didn't limit my list to just one episode from each season. I could have easily named several for each season. That's just how in love I am with the old cartoon.
Asking me to pick 10 episodes out of 193 just isn't fair! :P

K Here's My Thing
Season One - Enter the Shredder & Shredder is Splintered - The Orgin of my fav badguys Bebop & Rocksteady and an awesome battle between the Splinter and Shred Face.
Season TWO - Invasion of the Punk Frogs - The Origin of the FROGS next to Mondo Gecko they are my fav mutants and this episode rocks & one of the only ones to show all four of them speaking.
SEASON THREE - Leatherhead: Terror of The Swamps - The Frogs return!!!!! And the orgin of the gruesome gator Leatherhead, A very AWESOME Episode.
SEASON FOUR - Rapheal Meets His Match & The Big Bug Blender - Mona Lisa is very cool and the Frogs err Genghis returns. The Only problem with Big Bug Blender is the lack of the other Frogs. I Need the rest of them. And I love the end of it where the bugs are stuck in Demension X with the baddies. Clasic!!
SEASON FIVE - Michaelangelo Meets Mondo Gecko - HERE IT IS MY FAV EPISODE WITH THE BEST MUTANT IN THE WORLD. Yes it is the Introduction, the Origin of Mondo Gecko!!! The Sewer Skateboarding Lounge Lizard. I Can't Say Enough Good Things About This Episode.
SEASON FIVE NOTE: Season Five is The Year of The Mutants. We Got Mondo Gecko, Muckman, Mutagen Man, Napelon (Again the Lack of the Frogs, WHY??), Groundchuck, Dirtbag and Wingnut & Screwloose. You'd think with all the mutants they would have been able to fit in Ace Duck and Man Ray but these two never got their episodes. Sniff
SEASON SIX - You Know I Just Realized its been too long since i'vce seen Season Six Bummer.
SEASON SEVEN - Dirk Savage Mutant Hunter - A Good idea but needed more familar mutants. Still cool episode it was cool seeing a talking Rahzar & Tokka, but a lame villian. Make a cool Snail Mutant Please!!!
I stayed away from the REST

Season 4 (1990): "Funny, They Shrunk Michaelangelo"
I always got such a kick out of this episode, especially during the cat and mouse type chase scenes.
Actually, Funny, They Shrunk Michelangelo was in the 1992 season. I have the official airing of it off of CBS and at the end it says Copyright 1992. But anyway here are my favs:
Season 1- Shredder is Splintered
Season 2- Return of the Technodrome
Season 3- The Big Break In
Season 4- The Dimension X Story
Season 5- Muckman Messes Up
Season 6- Krangenstein Lives!
Season 7- Shredder Triumphant!
Season 8- Turtle Trek
Season 9- The New Mutation (Another episode guide if my memory is correct, this should be before wraith of Medusa cause I believe the tmnt mutate in that ep.)
Season 10- Turtles to the Second Power

The official site might make a few screw-ups once in a while, but they won't make them THAT big.
And besides, where exactly did you see this copyright date? Was it at the end credits of the ep itself, or did you see it on some CBS screen? If it was the latter, then what you saw was most likely a screen CBS made when they were re-running the ep.

End of the credits itself and I know someone else who also has a different version of it and told me the same thing, both Copyright 1992.

That's odd. I decided to go through the Official Site's listing for each ep, and it showed up under 1990. Of coarse their sources aren't 100% reliable.

Unfortunately it's the MOST realiable there is at this point since it has the "official" label slapped on it...
I guess the only way to find out is to contact somebody who used to work for Wolf Studios that either knows the listing like the back of his hand or knows where to find an archived listing somwhere...

That episode is DEFINATELY from Season 4 because the station that I used to watch TMNT on used to air only shows from seasons 1-4 (with certain shows picked from season 3 and 4) and that was one of the ones that they aired. I think in total, this station played a total of 52 episodes? They skipped A LOT of season 3 and about the first half of Season 4.

I'm assuming I watched the same network as you cause the network I watched did almost the same thing. But they always had a few later season episodes in there like Pirate Radio and The Sword of Yurikawa.

The only time I saw 'Pirate Radio' was on the station I was talking back a few posts back. A few years before they stopped airing the turtles (actually, i think it was just one year or less), they added almost all of Season 5 to their list of episodes to air but not ALL of that season. That was also the only time I've ever seen episodes like 'My Brother, The Bad Guy' and 'Mike meets Mondo Gecko'. I never saw those ones on CBS or YTV.
