You know it's sad you guys talk about FF more then you talked about the show before. And yet you guys hate FF. You never had Episode Discussions up so early. Sometimes not even after it aired you would make one.

Then you guys just complain about how crappy it sounds and a few people defend FF or say it's getting better. Guess you guys enjoy whining but not complimenting anything.

I think that was also because ninjaturtles.com used to post entire season synopsis before the season started, whereas FF doesn't have all the episode titles listed.

Eh, I like Fast Foward. It's obviously nowhere as great as Seasons 1-5, but its still fairly good.

I actually tried starting discussion threads for The Mighty 2K3 before, but I was always a few minutes too late. The fact that seasons 1 to 3 had already been synopsed (is that a word? :P ) before the premiere made them of low urgency for discussion threads, but someone always beat me to it. With FF there's little competition. If you look, I think Raph'sGirl is my only opponent. :evilgrin: But, all eps of 2K3 have been accounted for while I've been around.

haha dude you come into most threads with ah more stupid FF crap when you talk to me on aim about how cool the toys are and stuff lol.
The show is seriously just getting under way.
I don't care about people not caring for the show but when they start getting down right rude every single week before the episode even starts it gets really annoying...and I think most including yourself at times are doing just to join a bandwagon of hate for Fast Forward...I don't care though it's still turtles to me...they may be dumbed down but it's not the worst damn thing we could have gotten thats for sure.

Haha it's true I totally diss FF. And I just need to see an episode I like. I havn't see any new ones >_< But that all aside I don't diss the toys for the most part. I buy the ones I think are cool. The toys rock, the show well it hasn't rocked me yet but as a TMNT fan I await for it to.

I do enjoy making jokes at it's expense though haha

Cody and the Turtles search for a rare lunar alloy on the moon; Inuwashi Gunjin is sent there to make sure that they do not return alive.
...okay then. It sounds a bit weak, but this lunar alloy could be something for the turtles and Splinter to go home with? Maybe they are actually TRYING to find ways for the turtles to go home this time? Each time I read a synopsis about FF, it doesn't really have anything to do with the turtles going home, or TRYING to get home. It's as if everyone is saying "Oh, Cody says that we can't go home. Let's just run around the city until some magic portal wisks us away again!" Honestly, if this little field trip is just so that Cody can make his rock collection grow or something, I'm giving up all hope that FF can morph into something better (yes, I DO have a ray of hope).

That's a very mature decision. Unfortunately, some people stopped maturing when they were in middle school. :ohwell: So, they never grew out of their "Pokémon is crap because it's for little kids" sort of attitudes. If someone watches any program expecting it to be a disappointment, it's very unlikely that they will allow themselves to enjoy any of it. People know that the synopses we get for these episodes are often misleading, yet they still use it as an excuse to reinforce their prejudice of the show. Everyone and everything deserves a chance for redemption. If I hadn't always believed that, I wouldn't have stuck with the classic show past its airheaded third season.

Not advertised, BTW. I know a second, timefilling, useless YuGiOh (this time a first season rerun its fans have all seen 3000 times already) is on in its slot... but what's on at 10:30? If it's still that horribly laughable "Chaotic" joke of a show...

I mean... dammit. That thing has been delayed in production a million times now, it's a ripoff of Yugioh, and it's not even well made. Even Pinatas is more entertaining/original/brilliant/watchable than Chaotic!

Well they were just testing the waters on Chaotic apperantly. This wasn't an actual season season for it from my understanding. However it's gotten enough good press and seems to be popular that next year it'll have a full season.

But yea... TMNT is on at 9am in between "Bratz" (Which I really only watch cuz seeing Simon Cowell in an animated series as a secret agent/fashion expert is extremely amusing) and Viva Pinata (a stupid show). About the only good thing about TMNT being on this early is that it gives me an excuse not to watch the horrid Shaggy and Scooby get a Clue.

I still think they just put too much into this one, and it got delayed multiple times. They viciously promoted the show, saying "Fall 2006." So either they were just testing the waters (saying the grand unveiling of the program is fall), or they thought they'd actually finish the show by then. Whatever, I still think it's ass.

But I still want to know. Just what is on the 10:30 time slot?

If he succesfully perfects time travel, then there's nothing stopping him from sending the turtles back to the moment they dissapeared (as happened in Return of Savanti Romero). Right now the turtles are in a world that, but for their old friends, is much better to them than the old one. Plus, history already dictates that they return home (Don has to help found O'Neil Tech, for one), so what's the rush? Then there's the question whether Cody's machine really was what brought the turtles to the future; if it isn't, then Cody is under no obligation to bring them back (if it's even possible).

In any case, if this episode's Macguffin is related to their quest to return, then I'll be grateful; while it's not something I'd like to see become an issue every episode, I wouldn't like to see it forgotten, either.

It looks like they've pushed back the time slot for this one again. It's now set for 8:30AM tomorrow morning on my cable box's on-screen schedule. And since my local affiliate has been airing FOX's kids block an hour early for as long as I can remember, that'll be 9:30AM for everyone else in Eastern time..? :P

I've been saying this all week. Due to Yu Gi Oh reruns at 11am TMNT has been pushed back.

I set my DVR recordings as soon as the day is available in the cable box schedule. I had to fix the TMNT FF recording today because it was set for 8AM, and it now claims to be airing at 8:30. My Yahoo listings say the same (for this week and next). *shrug* :ohwell:

the big lesson: no one can make things right in your world but you.

so, I liked this one. The Gunjin guys got to break free from Darius (let's take bets on which bad guy he actually is in disguise :P ) and they were good in the end. Just goes to show no matter how bad things seem to be for you, you have the power to change it and control your own destiny. I'm learning to look past all the cheese in the show and see the big picture :D

and yeah, "Donatellium" was pretty cheesy but oh well....at least if lord simultaneous does not erase their memory, they will know that someday they will be free to walk around and achieve things :P

Yay! they were trying to get back to their correct time!!!!

Thats not really that bad of an idea. Sure people generally don't name a newly discovered alloy after the man that discovered it but really. Anyway this was not too bad of an episode. i guess if Dunn can't control Oneal Tech by controling Cody he will control Oneal Tech by going to the past and making it Dunn tech.

Well, I did catch when the Gunjin finally did the honorable thing, and that was awesome, but I didn't get to see anything else. Like what happened to poor Serling, could someone tell me why he was sprawled on the floor in Darius Dunn's control room like that? I can imagine it can't be good, for whatever reason.

So, Uncle Derriere is changing his plans. He wanted to keep Cody alive the first time he sent the Gunjin after him, I figured because he doesn't officially inherit O'Neil Tech until he becomes an adult. Now, he doesn't care if the kid dies or not.

*immitating Lucy Van Pelt* BLECH! I'VE BEEN KISSED BY A RAPH PUPPET! GET SOME IODINE! GET SOME DISINFECTANT! From Darius's reaction, you'd think lil' Raph slipped him some tongue. What a funny scene that was!

The clock struck Ninja Time twice today. Somehow, it seems fitting coming from Mikey though. I no longer have the enthusiasm I should to despise the phrase. Why waste the effort to flinch? They'll just say it anyway...

I'm glad this ep wasn't as airheaded as even the Bishop ep. That shows promise. There was the egotistical and lame sounding name of that alloy. When did the turtles quit trying to hide their existence (back in the 21st century)? I'm starting to think that they should be found in history books. But, there was enough to make up for it. The puppet was a welcome comic prop for the most part. Leo actually filled the serious-guy role as well as he should today. Anyone think those birds might have something to do with the avions?

You know, I think I need some sleep before I comment further. :sleep:

This episode was all right to me.

I thought the Gunjin guys were pretty cool and I'd like to see more character developement for 'em in the future. They were one of the redeeming aspects of this episode, I thought.

I enjoyed the humor in this episode, especially Mikey's deal with the Raph puppet...:lol: I don't think anyone expected that, so that made it much more unknown before it was witnessed. I guess when you have a creative team trying to figure out what to do for humor, they'll come up with something that everyone can laugh at.

So, this Uncle Darius dude...he's also know as Dunn, right? I just wanna make sure cuz the name Dunn was all I heard for his name while viewing...maybe I didn't have TV volume loud enough...:???: I thought he was an interesting villain anyhow.

This episode, here's how I rate it: three Raph silly puppet gags out of five. It felt average to me, but I'm glad it wasn't worse.

Next week's episode looks like it'll be pretty funny, with Splinter looking for piggies in a blanket and whatnot. I never thought he'd eat those.

Unless of course, they come back and are crucial to a future plot line. Mayhaps when Darius shows his REAL form, they'll help to destroy him.

I bloody want to see playmates make a Raph puppet. Even if it costs 30+ bucks. I mean, a professional one would cost upwards a couple tens of thou to get... (Trust me... Muppets aren't cheap to make).

So glad the Raph puppet was actually useful as a plot device, and not just random joking that they seem to do so much on this series. Otherwise, it coulda been pretty tiresome.

All and all, pretty much more of a set up episode than anything else... which is good. I mean, a couple fillers here and there are fine, but I want to get to the good stuff.

Anyway, I'll close with this thought:

The Splinter preview for next week made me want to punch the tv. I hate what they've done with his character.

Other than the action figure being awesome, he seems to serve no purpose. Until Dark Splinter pops up, that is. He seems totally worthless as of now
I mean, how many more "soap" jokes can they make? If all Splinter does is act star struck for the entire episode, froggeddabout it.

This was an interesting ep. We learned several things:
1: Donatellium....and Donatello didn't think it odd there's an element named after him?

Cody: "The walls are covered in Donatellium!"
(Leo looks around and Donatello continues to look over Cody's shoulder with no reaction whatsoever)....

2: Darius is interested in time travel for some strange reason
3: Donatello is Cody's computer...
4: Moonbase Bishop. That sounds so wrong...
5: Mikey's Nunchucks are extendable
6: Raph's Sai's are conveiniently boomerangs now...

But yay! The Inuwashi not only saved the day (they had a point tho about Cody being a liability) but they're
now free from Darius' eeeeeeeevil grasp!

I loved how Donatello was soo excited about the moon and they just happened to crash near the original moon landing.

The most annoying thing was that Mikey took that Raph puppet EVERYWHERE with him. WTF?! It didn't even
look like a good Raph puppet/plushie/whatever...the face was all wrong. :P I didn't see the part where
Mikey made it...it was just suddenly there (stupid FOX station messed up on the ep and a couple of the
scenes were skipped completly).

As for next week: It's a black tie affair! Nice tux's...Oh look..it's Splinter... :P

I find it ironic how people were talking earlier in this topic about Cody and Don NOT searching for a way to get the turtles home and what did this episode turn out to be about? The Cody trying to get the Time Window to return the Turtles home.

Oh the writer of that Fanfic forgot one important Detail that Don has not. Don realizes that as long as when they return to the past it is the same moment they left all the stuff that the Turtles do in the future still happens. Really as long as none of the Turtles die in the future they can stay there as long as that evil fan boy wants without messing up the future.

Don't know, looked more like they survived. Have to re-check the episode, but I thought they busted out of the tunnel area (something spirits wouldn't have done), and then took of for another part of space.

This episode was pretty good. The Raph puppet scenes were funny.

And Darius is so far my favorite FF villian(like i said before he's the TMNT version of Orson Welles).

The Gunjin were sorta cool, I can tell they'll probably get even with Darius later in the season or something.

other than that this is a "general" good episode for me.

I liked this episode because the main characters seem to have gotten their brain cells back. Mostly. :)

I wasn't sure what to make of the Gunjin... they're kind of flat characters to me. So is Darius... I wish they'd give him a little more depth. Some people really are that shallow I guess, but those people bore me!

Question: I missed the few minutes between Cody slipping on the ice and being trapped underwater. Why did the turtles expect to keep fighting the Gunjin after they saved Cody?

For some reason, a lot of honorable warriors are portrayed this way. It's a discipline thing. Right, Leo? *Leo meditates while Master Splinter prays for some personality for his (favorite) son*
Question: I missed the few minutes between Cody slipping on the ice and being trapped underwater. Why did the turtles expect to keep fighting the Gunjin after they saved Cody?
The turtles and Gunjin fought and Cody got pinned to the ground while the room filled with water. Raph and Mike asked the Gunjin to help them free Cody, but were answered with an icy glare. So, after wasting a few precious seconds, the Eagle Warriors played Hotel California as they made short work of Cody's obstructions. Since, they know better than to let their guard down, the turtles expected to fight more once Cody was out of harm's way. And, moron Darius watched the entire rescue before he tried shutting down the Gunjin.

As for next week's preview, it looks like more shallow airheadery. They didn't explain the first thing about the episode. But, I get the feeling we won't get much explanation of how they got back to Earth without transportation.

Also, it didn't look like the Gunjin *broke* out of anywhere at the end, but they did seem to be wearing something over their mouths when they came out of the water. So, between that and the fact that they have action figures, I think we'll be seeing them again.

And, a lil' complaint of mine: why does everyone insist on calling Cody names like "spoiled brat" and such? At least Mary Sue and Zach 2.0 reflect him, but he is nowhere near spoiled. He may get everything he thinks he wants, but he lacks more assertiveness than most geeks. I'm guessing he avoids social contact because he knows how easily he can be taken advantage of.

I just now started to wonder if Cody and his young hormones had anything to do with Starley *cough*gold-digger*cough* getting work at O'Neil Tech or if she might have been a plant by the nefarious Uncle Darius...

I don't see what use Darius would have for Starlee: he already runs O'Neil Tech, so it's not like he needs her for information. Similarly, Cody seems to spend too little time at the place for her to be useful as a spy (not to mention that Darius has cameras for that, as seen in the episode). Likewise, Cody's general introverteness makes it unlikely that he met Starlee before she joined O'Neil Tech, much less got her a "job". And "gold-digger"? Grr.

As for the episode...

I initially thought that Dun had particular plans for Cody and O'Neil tech (the intro certainly gives that impression); however, given this episode, that doesn't seem to be the case. I'm not sure what to think about that. While on the surface, having him be simply a ruthless, ambitious man is more plausible than having making him an Arvin Sloane/Irina Derevko (from Alias, for those who don't get the reference)-like schemer, it doesn't seem to ring quite as true.

I was dissapointed by the small amount of screen time Starlee had in this episode. She is by far my favorite new character, and I had hoped she'd play a larger role. Plus, if having her means more scenes set outside the house, even better.

Its good to see that the turtles still haven't given up on trying to get back home. While I'm glad it hasn't become an issue in every episode, I'm happy to see that it hasn't been ignored, either.

That final scene could have used a rewrite, I think. I'm still not sure if the Gunjin at the end were really them, or if we were seeing their "spirits" after they died saving the turtles. Given the intro and how much emphasis has been placed on their backstories, I would think the first one. The dialogue, however, makes me think its the latter. I hope we get some clarification soon.

Moonbase Bishop, the Rockefeller Center statue...Bishop sure is getting his share of hero worship. I wonder if these sort of references will become a regular thing.

And we finally leave Earth! It's about time, especially considering the turtles' history. Who would have thunk that the one time where they could travel the galaxy pretty much at will would be the time where they wouldn't do it at all?

So now we have some more new weapon abilities to add to the list. I wonder if there's a master list somewhere, or if the writers are creating them on the fly.

This was a great episode. The Raph puppet was funny. What does Darius Dunn want
with Cody's time window? I don't think the Gungin died because they were only in two episodes. Maybe they will come back later and fight Darius Dunn.

The turtles and Gunjin fought and Cody got pinned to the ground while the room filled with water. Raph and Mike asked the Gunjin to help them free Cody, but were answered with an icy glare. So, after wasting a few precious seconds, the Eagle Warriors played Hotel California as they made short work of Cody's obstructions. Since, they know better than to let their guard down, the turtles expected to fight more once Cody was out of harm's way. And, moron Darius watched the entire rescue before he tried shutting down the Gunjin.
Thanks, Gobo. It took me several minutes to get that Hotel California reference. :lol:

And I agree about Cody. He might be Zach 2.0, but he does at least have reasonable character weight as The Native Guide in the stories.

Decent episode. The guys seemed way more in-character this episode than they've ever been throughout this season. Mikey was still annoying, Leo went back to his serious leader role, Donny continued being his techie self, and Raph went back to being a hothead. This episode just seemed more fitting for the guys.

The Inuwashi Gunjin were cool characters. I didn't think we'd get to see them again. But I like their design, their style... but their voices just don't match with their appearance, imo. I dunno, it just bugs me.

And WTF was with Mikey carrying that stupid ass Raph doll all day? The most annoying scenes came from that damn toy.

Darius is a cool villain. Anyone who'll fry Serling's processor to a crisp gets a thumb-up from me. I still hate Serling. I hate his arrogance. You're a frickin' server robot, you have no place to patronize anyone!

And as much as I HATE (better yet, I LOATHE) that "It's Ninja Time" line, I think it was delivered a little better than usual. It just seemed more fitting when Mikey said it right when they popped out of the water. But I still cringe at that line, every time.

All-in-all, pretty decent ep. At least the Gunjin are free from Darius' grip.
