Ok I don't know if anyone has brought this up before, but does ANYONE notice Don creates like a turtle van, a blimp, motorcycles, time travel portal, etc.

How long do you think he spends working on inventions and gadgets?

By the way, how does he get the parts for the machines lol

I always wondered where he gets the parts from. Don't they just go to rubbish tips and nick a load of crap?

Yeah, I believe everyone already did.

No school, no social life, no gfs = helluva free time.

How does he manage to have those kinds of resources, though? He and the turtles live in the sewer, they aren't Bruce Wayne.

Let's face it, a lot of the old series doesn't make sense. Where do the turtles get money to buy pizza? How do they keep replacing their broken weapons, vehicles, etc. Let's face it, there's certain things you're just not supposed to think about. Where Donatello gets his parts for this stuff is probably one of them. :)

I like how the new toon covered some trips to the junkyard, just to help it make a little more sense.

I'm more a fan of a "Mr. Fixit" type Don, where he can fix vehicles, but not build things that humans don't even have technology for yet. He's smart, even genius... but not super genius.

He's not a super-genius.

He's an uber-mega-genius.

I was working on the theory April gives them a loan... but then, that would mean they wouldn't have had that stuff until April discovered them. SO basically, I dunno.

Then again, everytime they go to the technodrome, maybe Don swipes something from them... or at least ravages through machines that blew up for parts.

But then again, why does Don have so many favorite Bos that alwaysseem to be the only ones that get broken.

To me, Don seems like the type of person (or turtle, in this case) that has several projects that are in various stages of completion. I have a hard time imagining him just sitting down and hammering something out. I can easily imagine him working on something, getting a new idea, and working on that idea up until the next thing comes along in his mind.

Not to mention he has to do something down there, if they can't go up to the surface too much.

ahh, the new toon has loop holes such as where the turtles get the money, and where Don gets the spare parts, or how they keep replaceing lost/damaged weapons, not just the old one.

so did the old one on several occasions.

Ah, it did? Cool. It's been so long since I've seen most of those old episodes. So many shows to watch, so little free time! And Youtube cracking down on copyright violations, o woe...

I'm voting that Don fixes up some of the old crap he finds in junkyards and sells them on eBay. If it's set in the '80s... I dunno, wrap yourself in bandages, pretend to be horribly disfigured, and sell stuff on the street? :P

their is no such thing as time. time is a man-made object. - nobody used clocks back in the cave days, then somebody created a sun dial to be able to tell what part of the day it was, example - morning, afternoon, evening - then sombody must of thought it was a good idea to make the invention of the "hour" - stupid, i hate clocks

Actually I have no idea how the turtles get money in any medium. I guess it is safe to assume that Donatello can sell stuff on ebay, but it seems a rather weak excuse. In the old toon there was one episode where Michaelangelo has a job. So maybe the turtles disguise themselves and do odd jobs and get paid under the table.
