What do you guys(for those of you who have them :P)like most about the figs and hate most about them?

I like how articlutated they are and how much more detailed they are. Their weapons are more detailed, and look good.

Its hard to get them to stand. Well not hardbut their heels kind of drop more than the rest of their feet so they look a little duck-footed when they stand. I said the weapons look good, but they aren't made well. Leo, Shredder, and the Foots swords are very flimsy and bend easy. While you can bend them back into shape, on of my Shredders swords cam all messed up and I cant bend i back, so i stuck it in a big heavy book. Raphs sais are also like this and the place to put them in his belt is in a horrible spot, the sias get bend when you put them in and put his arms down.I just got them and their arms seem to be loose(kinda makes me nervous theyll bust off). I havent even hardly touched them or anything. Does anyone elses do this. Maybe its how theyre supposed to be?

mine will arrive wednesday, so ill tell ya then =)

as for the standing thing, the original figures SUCKED when it comes to making them stand. i go them to do it, but with each one its a hassle. i never got undercover don to stand either. and what about shredder? gah. what an odd figure to try and get to stand =P

from what i've seen of the new ones, i love how they look. much better than the old figures. but yeah i saw the thing with raph's sai's which kinda sucks, altho in the comic at times thats where he keeps them. but they shoulda made more room for them to go there.

They stand ok, the problem is the legs don't move quite right

yeah the sai holders suck because the sais just get all bent up so I don't even but them in the holders

if you ever have a problem trying to bend the weapons back dip them in boiling water then bend em back.

I like donatello belt cause it can hold both of his bo. and the shell are cool but i dislike the line they put around them.

I don't like having the mask and eyes a seperate peice of plastic attatched, that the place where the belts go there is like a path in the shell, the front of the shell is a shin rubbery plastic with a hole right under the tie in the belt, and the lack of good leg articulation........ But they are still worth it 100% and these are only small gripes that I can live with.

Are people here talking about the 5'' ones or 12''?

The 5 inch ones

The 12" ones are perfect, BTW. Well, atleast Mike is. I can't really speak for the other three since I decided only to buy the one.

Ya I dont like how the shell has a "track" thing for the belt. ON my don it kinda came out a little and isnt in all the way. Does anyone elses figs have kinda loose arms?

Mine have trouble standing, but most action figures do. It just seems to come with the territory.

Yeah, the Donny figure I have doesn't stand too well. So this is what I'm doing to compensate. I stick his extra bo in the belt, and it works as a third leg to keep him from falling back. But the Raph figure I just got stands excellent. There ain't gonna be no one to knock him over!

My other gripe is their paint jobs. Don has a blob of dried brown 'belt paint' on the back of his calf. Not very attractive, if you know what I mean! :goofygri: The poor underpaid person painting Raph's right kneepad went "outside of the lines" in one area too (but nothing as bad as Don's mess-up). Then Raph has dark fine splatters on the plastron-- I'm gonna say that's the blood spray.

I would have been more selective, but they were the only ones of their name left. I'll be more selective when I get Leo and Mike, since I'm going to leave those two "on the card".

Oh.. I also noticed something with Raph. His 'card' shows his face growling with one side of his teeth showing, but the figure has both sides of his lips curled up with teeth showing. I like him better with both sides of the mouth curled up, so I'm cool with that.

I still like these figures overall. The muscle details and shading are cool, and the way the plastron overhangs for more turtlefied realism is a nice touch too. :D

got mine today! yeah, the legs could use some articulation, but oh well. the foot soldier was a pain the ass to get stoanding

and splinter sucks =/. i dont like the grey at all. and it'd be nice if his bow worked, even though he cant hold the thing at all b/c he has no elbow joints. leo's suction cups are really hard to get on. i had a time getting one on him; plus they dont stick well at all. my shredder also has the bent sword thing going on. the paint jobs were a little flimsy in places on mine as well. little runs or spots that didnt get painted all over.

the one thing i'd have liked to seen was belts on shredder and the foot. i like being able put all of a figure's accessories on that figure. none of them have a place for ninja stars (a little bag on the backside of the belt or something woulda been cool). and shredder needs somewhere to hold all that stuff he has hehe. the foot soldier should have at least one place for a spare sword or something. but oh well.

they do look great tho.

I haven't have problems with the feet, or legs. They're bigger, and stand easier. I dropped Raph on the desk and he wobbled on his feet a bit and stood fully. I like it. The only draw back to the legs is that you can't fit them in things. I.E., I got a figure tube thing, it's for figures to stand in and junk. Well, my Turtles won't fit.

I hear ya... My Raph and Leo figs both have one leg that doesn't move forward and backward. I can only get then to twist. :ohwell:

All they would have needed to do to give us some good leg articulation would of be put a swivel joint on each of the knees. It wouldn't be much but it would make a huge difference.

Brodie

I bet the second series will have better articulation and such, they can only get better...Hopefully.....

All they need is some ball joints then they'd be cooler

I finally saw the new TMNT figures.....um.....welll....yeahhhh.
I will say I am happy though a new TMNT brand has been launched. I at least want a TMNT bus, and April figure^_^

I think in 15 years of TMNT figures, the 1995 Metal Mutant line looks the best scale wise.
