Not too keen on those cowboys, but Savanti Romero should be interesting.

The Return of the Return of Savanti Romero! Hoorah!

And the C.O.W. Boys of Moo Mesa should be fun, but what I *really* want is a new Usagi Yojimbo crossover.

*snickers* Given what happened to him in Tales of the TMNT Volume 1, #7 (I think it was Issue 7), he would've HAD to. :P ;)

And I'm looking forward to the C.O.W.-Boys being in the comics again, myself. Good thing that I have a standing order put in at my comic shop for ALL of the TMNT comics.

Although I DO agree with DrSpengler about that Usagi crossover............

Peter, Mirage, are you listening?!

I think the thing about the C.O.W. boys is that because they don't have a comic series of their own (I think the license may have expired over at Archie) and they're created by one of the Studio lads (Ryan Brown) it's easier for them to appear without the legal hassles. I think it might be a little harder to co-ordinate with Usagi being at Dark Horse...

Well, Usagi did appear a few issues back in that pin-up Stan Sakai drew, and they've managed to coordinate him rather well to appear on the television series. Dark Horse seems rather accomidating when it comes to sharing Usagi, so I imagine it couldn't be too hard to get a 1-issue crossover.

I know, but the thing is, the licensing would be different for the show, as it would for the pin-up (I think!), organising an actual comic may take a bit more work - especially with the Usagi #100 coming up...

Stan Sakai and Peter Laird are best friends so it wouldn't be hard to have Usagi appear in TMNT.

Whitewolf:
Savanti Romero was in more than just Tales of the TMNT. Yes he seemingly died but he was actually frozen in time and woke up in feudal Japan. The turtles went back (this was actually a bit after their encounter with his wife, Savanti Juliet. She appeared in issue 42 to avenge her husband....but she was killed by Renet) in time and once again defeated Savanti...sending him BACK to prehistoric times (Issues 46 and 47).

So this issue of Tales is set after TMNT Vol 1 issue 47.

He was in the original comics several times and in the 2K3 version of the cartoon series. The cartoon version is an almost repicia of the original comic series except for some minor differences...Donnie's bandage and annoying cough and sneezes.

Hey Andres, how or when did you get the gig doing art for TMNT?

I jump to the TMNT wagon inking to my friend and partner Dario Brizuela (http://www.dario-brizuela.blogspot.com/) on a issue from "Tales..." the issue with COW boys of the Moo Mesa. Later I got the job to do the Casey issue.

I`ll try to do a scketch of Savanti Romero and I`ll post it on my blog!
