~Hi all--
This post probably would be better split in two, and put in a couple of existing threads, but hey, it's late, and I'm fried, so here ya go:
First, Chapter Two of Manifestation Noir. Here's the link to the Table of Contents in case anyone's forgotten what the story's even about.

Second, as threatened-- ah, I mean as promised-- a new Fan Art Contest:

You know you've always wanted to see yourself pictured with one or more of the TMNT. Well, here's your chance. The thing is, whatever style you like your Turtles, you must create yourself in the same style. So if you love the Old Skool 'Toon, you must draw yourself as you would look as a cartoon character in that series. Same holds true if you're a Mirage Purist-- draw your edgy b&w Turtles, and then draw yourself as Eastman and Laird would have.
If you want a live action photo manip piece, the picture of you must be a real photo of you. If you can only draw yourself anime style, your turtles will have to be anime, as well. Make sense? Here are the Official Guidelines:

I'm also looking for people interested in serving as Judges for this, so please write asap and let me know if you'd like to do that.

Ok, that's it fer now. Feedback on any of this will be given great attention and an extra serving of GreenFaerieDust(tm)...

Oo... more reads I must remember to downlaod into my PDA!

And now the new challenge is released! This cracks me up to some degree, in that since I kinda draw in the Lawson style... does this mean I have to imagine myself with fat lips, a skinny waist, and bulging calves too?

~Yes. :P

Oh, and for all you repaint Masters and Mistresses, an idea came to me that if you wanted to use action figs, that would be a wonderfully creative medium. Grab an old X-Man figure (or even the old April O'Neil) and paint yourself into Action Figure Glory!

Ack!! You updated, GW! I've been waiting for your next installment. I've been hanging on this cliff for a while now, don'tcha know. I'll make sure to read it as soon as I've got the time. Lotsa fanfics I gotta catch up on.

~Yeah, Azure, I'm sneaky like that....and also *way* behind on my fics fix.....:P
Meanwhile here's the update on the update:

The Mary Sue and Barry Stu (or whatever his name is...) Fan Art Contest has received its first entry.

http://www.behindthemasks.com/greenwillow/marysueentries.htm

Pretty nice, eh?

And a reminder, please send all entries to me @ [email protected] with the subject header Mary Sue Fan Art.
The deadline is January 28, 2003, but if I get a lot of heartfelt, tear-stained pleas for more time I'll give it another week or so....
Remember, this is *you* and one or more Turtles, in the style of your choice, as long as you and the Turtles are rendered in the same style.
