Looks like "The Journal" is'nt the end of this season

Gaminator could mean several things:
1: It's a Mikey loving games ep
2: Gamera + gator = Gaminator!

I really hope it's not another Mikey ep. He's been getting far too much spotlight this season, give the other Turtles a chance to shine.

It is about the tmnt getting trapted in a video game that viral is controling. That's all I know.

So it's the third episode mixed with the mall episode? Why?
The Gaminator is like some honest-to-goodness, Russian, arcade gaming machine (not sure about the details). I guess there's some sort of product-placement going on there. I doubt it's just a coincidence...

It sorta looks like Serling's going to get to be useful in this ep. The guys get trapped in the game and he's probably the only one who can link up to the thing and go in after them.

Guess I sure ain't gonna get a Raph episode...ugh...they NEED to give focus to the others...Mike's fine, it's nice we get some focus on him but they forget there's a couple other turtles...I'd like to see a Splinter focus too. Hell, maybe an episode without Cody trying to save the freaking day!

haha i know right all these Mike episodes are getting annoying.
And as some one who hated how much they used leo in the 2k3 series I sorta want a Leo Story also.
EPISODE 131
"The Gaminator"
Story Editor: Lloyd Goldfine
Senior Supervising Director: Roy Burdine
Written by Wendell Morris
Synopsis:
The Turtles get their hands on a prototype game system called “The Gaminator”, rumored to be the ultimate gaming experience. They get more than they bargained for when they are digitized and sucked into the game, where they find that the Gaminator is actually a trap set by Viral so that she can get her revenge on the Turtles and defeat them on her own turf!Yep. That's definitely promotion for the real-life Gaminator machine. Sounds like an interesting episode...
Those aren't the TMNT. Those are sadistic little sh*ts who don't earn my respect at all. The next time they need Serling's help, I think he should refuse since they obviously won't appreciate it. Serling is just a tool to them. He has opinions, but he acts like he can't stand up for himself. The crew needs to splash some karmic justice on this show. Just because it seems they're planning to leave the horrible taste of inconsideration in my mouth until next Fall, I think this is the straw that breaks the camel's back. I don't care to watch a morally bankrupt depiction of characters who are supposed to inspire. Wake me up when the movie's out.

Heh, this was one of my favorite FF episodes so far.
I don't remember all of Serling's lines, but some of the stuff he said in this episode were generally funny. Good stuff.
The actual videogame inspired episode was pretty fun, loved that they kept Raph's, "I hate bugs!" from the previous seasons. Viral is actually a nice villain when she actually DOES stuff rather than just standing there like in previous episodes.
The climax with all the thousands of TMNT Vs. Viral reminds me of stuff we've seen in Teen Titans and The Batman, I'm always a sucker for that stuff.
The ending with the Turtles putting Serling in the videogame was a cruel joke, but I'm sure they'd turn it off before he got hurt...too much.

Well geez, talk about two different perspectives! Wish I hadn't missed this episode, so I could make a judgement call for myself on this...

Wow, they actually made the first bandana mistake in the new show! It only took a milestone of 132 episodes! At least they beat the old show's record, (episode 1)
When Raph was riding the bug, he had an orange bandana for one shot! Anyone have a screencap? I'm pretty certain that happened.

And, Leo's mysteriously grew two feet to burn away in the acid. That made me roll my eyes. The episode was decent in as much as it didn't stumble. But, still, Serling saved the turtles, but got no appreciation for it and was used as the butt of a lousy joke. I'm sure the writers or somebody up there thinks that this "let's rip on Serling every chance we get" stuff is funny, but it's not. It was only mildly amusing when in moderation. Today, it was a suggestion to little kids to be mean to each other. I don't think the classic 'toon ever had such little sense of 'social responsibility'.

Ditto. I completely agree with you. Booooriiiiing.
I dunno, I had some thoughts while watching it... I can't remember them right now. I just hate how they've become reliant on others so easily. And what happened to honor? I just can't enjoy something that is such a... injustice to the characters. They ARE NOT the TMNT. They are an awful, weak representation of them.
gogo's right. What are they inspiring us to do? Nothing like they used to.
What complete drivel.

This was a pretty amusing episode. Poor Serling. *lmao* I don't think Viral likes working with Sho'kanobo. She's kinda like Shredder and Sho'kanobo is Krang.
I loved that Raph started refering to Serling as Bro...considering what happened
last week. *lmao*
My fave part was of course all the Raph's...so...so many Raph's.... :o
Now for a couple questions:
1: How pissed will Sho'kanobo be now?
2: Did the gaminator company really send Cody the gaminator or was that just a ploy by Viral?

There's an episode in a previous season where Raphie is wearing blue....wish I could remember.

This episode was pretty funny. Especially the contining video game jokes.
And we all know how knowledgable Mikey is on the topic as well as B movies and Comics.
Best parts would have to be the Swamp level and the extra turtles.
Overall, another fav of the FF season. Plus this season is more than half way done so far. But there's still 2 episodes I need to see till they start airing the rest.

Well, I slept in (because I hardly ever sleep at night), so I didn't see the whole thing, though I did manage to record on the cable box so I could tape it later. However, I did see the end part, and what I found funny was when Michaelangelo was discussing the subject of the "boss level" & all he knew about it. When he mentioned during his rambling about dying five or six times before beating it, and then Leonardo said ........."You're enjoying this way too much Mikey" that was hilarious!

Wow, other people are sick of seeing poor Serling get abused too, color me surprised. It wasn't a bad episode, but the writers could've used him a lot better than they did, and that part at the end was just mean.
And as far as Serling refusing to help goes, the more I watch the more I get the feeling that he can't disobey Cody. Sure, he can complain all he wants, but if Cody pushes the issue he has to listen.
Yeah, I probably will end up writing that fanfic I've been tossing about, since all that bad karma just demands justice . . .

Nice episode. Is it just me or is this the fourth "Mikey/videogames episode" Still a good episode.
My favorite Leo line was when they were in the Swampinator part of the game and he says something like "I shouldn't have spend so much time practicing and played more video games."
 No new episode next week...

I noticed about the no new episode. It's gonna be a repeat of FF#1. Why couldn't they repeat something from the other series?

Because Fast Foward is a revamp, and they want the current toys on shelves to match what airs on TV. And only the first four FF eps have ever been rerun.

I was at Toys R Us yesterday and saw the FF dvd for sale?
And we have the toys, and a show no one seems to enjoy, and they are gonna be playing reruns, again?
Isn't this overkill?

Not a very exciting episode. It was kind of ok because of the video game jokes. Outside of that, it was lackluster. I love the "Super Fabio Brothers" joke during the swamp.

That's been available to view on On Demand since October actually.
I've tried to enjoy this show, I truly have. I came into FF with an open mind saying it was more of a spinoff than a continuation of the 2k3 series. But after this episode I don't think it's fair to the 2k3 series to even consider it a spinoff. Sure they through hints of the series with "I hate bugs" references but really it's not the 2k3 series at all. The ending proves these aren't the same turtles, because the 2k3 turtles would have never been so ungrateful and actually hoped to hurt serling by placing him back in the game. I thought FF was supposed to improve but it rapes the turtles just as much now as it has the entire time. Sad...

Maybe its because I haven't been watching the series, but hearing the turtles put Serling back into a homicidal video game sounds funny. But then since I haven't been watching the show i haven't really gotten overly attached to the new characters as a result. I was never overly fond of Serling so...I don't know. I guess if I saw the episode i'd be mad at the turtles treatment of him.
Did Serling say something that might of pissed the turtles off after he saved their butts, you know in a "I told you so" sort of way, that might of provoked them playing such a nasty prank on him?

yeah, i watched this episode, but only once (usually i watch them twice cuz i have 2 fox channels) but i'm pretty sure at the end that he does indeed say something of the sarcastic nature to the turtles that made them put him into the game, but either way i didn't really think it was necessary, i guess they couldn't think of a better way to end the episode, so it works:trolleye: :trazz:

Well, I had lots of catching up with this series. From "Invasion of the Body Jacker" to "The Gaminator". Five FF episodes in row, booyah. Didn't watch FF for a longest time.
I must say I find this series pretty entertaining and had lots of chuckles today while watching the last five eps. Well yeah, I don't take it too seriously now, it cannot be compared to 2K3, but I think it's nicely hilarious in its own weird way. Some parts of it. "The Journal" was great, for instance, "The Gaminator was pretty good. The same with those three eps where we could see "the altered turtles" - "Body Jacker", "Freaks" and "Bad Blood". The animation still bugs me a little but I kind of got used to it.

Considering how unrealistic the turtles' lives get, and how much they get associated with video games, comic books, superheroes, etc., I had a feeling he'd say something like that sooner or later in the series.
