yes like I said you can have anyone besides the now supporting cast and once again let me say those who are excluded are THE TMNT, APRIL, SHREDDER, & SPLINTER.
I am asking this because I want to see who everyones liked over the years character wise besides the main cast.
And so far everyone great job it's quite shocking to see who some people like! In a good way mind you! I'm shocked I thought I was the only one who liked Tony Jay's Lord Dregg Character.

In no particular order:

Archie
1. Future Don and Raph (Archie: it is a variation after all, right?) It suggested that these two turtles have more development potential than Leo (the permanent leader) and Mike (even though we do get to see the more sophisticated side of his creativity). Also, who would have thought that Raph and Don would make so great a team? The techno-geek and the hothead become an effective Brawn and Brain duo.
2. Cudley the Cowlick: a character who doesn't get enough respect! Archie could have just made him a simple plot device for transportation's sake to move the story along, but they gave him real warmth as a part of the Turtles' gallery.
3. Cryin' Hound: This guy was great. All arms and no brains; the quintessence of an old school wrestler! Only Donatello's humble book smarts could take down this juggernaut.
4. Mondo Gecko: Mikey's favorite un-official cousin. They definitely should have let him stick around with the guys for a few more issues before they shipped him off to join the Mutanimals.
5. Leatherhead: A great story of redemption from a 2-bit hillbilly thug to heroic hillbily Mighty Mutanimal!
6. Ninjara: Rapheal meets his match, even if she was a completely different species.
7.Null: Scary guy, really scary guy.
8. Tattoo & Inky: Big man with body piercing and his little dog too. Nuff said.
9. Hothead the Dragon: Chinese fireman by day, Giant Dragon by every day when he gets angry. But we all liked him we he was angry, though April probably would have preferred the alternative.
10. Ace Duck... Yes, Ace Duck! Archie actually tried to develop this obscure character. If only they had given him his own one-shot adventure!

Old Cartoon:
1. Bebop: A name like that always brings a smile to my face.
2. Rocksteady: A name that signifies his loyal nature to his boss/master Shredder. [And usually the 1st boss to beat in the video games.]
3. Krang: A very well voiced character, and fun to look at in the first season before he got that freaky looking android suit.
4. Casey Jones: Nut-case. I thought he and Zack should have fought it out in the penalty box. Both of em' liked hockey sticks.
5. Rat King: I like his theme music.
6. Baxter (Human): Brilliant mind who ran with the wrong crowd.
7. Leatherhead: Cajun Gator I guarantee!
8. Tempestra: Anytime the villian is a video game, I'm a fan.
9. The Beaver Cleaver & Wally: Golly gee, these guys'll give you the business.
10. Does Catwoman April count? I always felt she really was a whole different person... well, half a person that is. I've always wondered what the series would have been like if she had retained the ability to transform on certain occassions. She certainly wouldn't have been kidnapped so many times.

New Cartoon:
1. Shredder Elite Guard: Best intro ever.
2. Those two smart-alec homeless guys in the Garbage-Man episode.
3. Usagi
4. Gen (especially when dressed like Rocksteady)
5. The Ancient One: "It's just air!" Crazy old man.
6. Utroms
7. Leatherhead: I liked him better when he was angry too.
8. The Turtle Terminator: The fact that he forced the Turtles to fight with each other's weapons was cool enough. But it was even better to watch Donatello fumble around with the sais.
9. Baxter Stockman: He keeps going and going and going. He gets the Comeback player of the year award every year.
10. Kirby: a guy who wasn't freaked out to see a Ninja Turtle.

Mirage:
1. Leatherhead: Dan Berger's "Leatherhead Too" was my favorite issue.
2. Shredder Elite: Nice hats.
3. Savanti Romero: Guy didn't know when to quit.
4. Complete Carnage: The name alone gets him a vote.
5. That Leach Monster Parasite that demutated Raph in "The River".
6. Joey: That crazy military guy who saw turtles everywhere from Hedden and McWeeney's #34. He reminded me of Rocksteady.
7. Karai: got to love a lady who wants to bury the hatchet someplace other than your back.
8. Usagi: With him involved, City of War would have only lasted 6 months instead of a year.
9. Green-Grey Sponge-Suit Sushi Turtles
10. The Haunted Pizza: It really was a character!

Movies:

Yeah, it is quite a bit overboard. If I were to limit it to a universal top 10, I would probably go with the Archie list alone. It had the basic characters from the old toon but developed them wonderfully as well as introducing some original and obscure characters.

10 not including the main characters? Like a lot of others I'm going to need to pull from Archie (I hope someone snags the rights to reprint those into trades or something, those books got me into comics).

1)Mondo Gecko: I always thought he was cool looking as a kid.

2)Leatherhead: I thought it was odd that he was with the good guys in the comics. As a comic fan my first experience with villains becoming heroes and sometimes vice versa!

3)Slash: See above. As a fan of the turtles it was cool to see a new mutant turtle around.

4)Rat King: I'm a big fan of the Morlocks in X-Men, so bring on the sewer freaks!

5)Utroms: I don't know much about them (I would if/when Mirage reprints Volume 1!!!), but they look cool and as someone who was introduced through the old toon it is interesting to see the inspiration for Krang.

6)Mutant Frogs: These guys were pretty cool. As a kid I thought frogs were really neat.

7)Baxter Stockman: As a movie fan I now appreciate the homage to the Fly that he later became in the cartoon.

8)Tatsu: Ninja vanish! If you couldn't have Krang in the movie as Shredder's partner, a tough mean looking bald martial artist with a commanding voice will do just as good.

9)Krang: One of my favorite villains from when I was a kid. I remember he had a hole on the bottom of the figure so you could use him as a finger pupper.:)

10)Cudley the Cowlick: George Lucas said he wanted giant lizards in Star Wars for the sake of eccentricity, and as far as comics go in the eccentricity department it doesn't get much better than a giant flying cow head.

So I didn't need to pull as much from Archie as I thought. I haven't followed the Turtles as hardcore as I did when I was a kid so it's tough to think of secondary characters.

Well, I never had the chance to post a list back in '06, so here it goes. My favorite ten side characters in no particular order.

Complete Carnage - Awesome super power, and a totally evil foe. I just like the challenge he presents the Turtles, and wish he'd be used more often.

Cha Ocho - Even if "Scars" wasn't one of the best Turtles stories around, his relationship with Leonardo would still be interesting. He's a villain without really being a villain.

Elite Guard (Mirage) - These guys are bad-ass. 'Nuff said.

Karai (Mirage) - A completely different character from the cartoon version, the Karai of the comics is strong-willed and powerful. Her relationship to the Turtles is always intruiging.

Baxter (1987 toon) - Most twisted idea the '87 series ever had. And it was great.

Bishop - Another great super villain type. A virtually immortal super soldier who actually plays on the fact that the Turtles are mutants hiding from society.

Professor Obligado - He's an Utrom who drops acid and goes on scientific missions in space. He's died and been resurrected. Obligado is the man.

Zukko - For some reason the idea of a Triceraton gangster really stuck with me. Maybe it's just the novelty.

Null - Awesome like a classic Bond villain.

Armaggon - Totally vicious, awesome design, etc. Armaggon just makes for a great villain.

And I meant to get Viral and Vernon on there somewhere.

1. Mondo Gecko - He's not just my favorite comic book character, but my favorite action figure as well!
2. Mona Lisa - It really ticks me off she only had one episode in the entire cartoon's run. She could've been a very interesting recurring character at some point, and obviously a good love interest for Raphael!
3. Rocksteady - My favorite of the gruesome twosome! He always seemed to be the most sensetive badguy for some reason.
4. Leatherhead - I kinda like him more in the 4Kids series than the classic toon.
5. Keno - He kicked butt, litterally!
6. Zach, the 5th Turtle - I always saw a lot of myself in that kid. I wanted to be a Ninja Turtle as much as he did.
7. Cudley the Cowlick - I grew up near my cousins' dairy farm so I love cows!
8. Baxter Stockman - I was watching the Coming Out of Their Shells stage show video last weekend and his scenes were hilarious!
9. Candy Fine - Mondo's main squeeze! I would've liked to learn how the two of them met.
10. Tokka - It always makes me laugh the way he calls Shredder "Mama!"

2 - Leatherhead (Mirage) - Dan Berger's Leatherhead is one of the most awesome looking characters in comics
3 - Usagi Yojimbo (Mirage) - Usagi is one of my favorite comic series (after TMNT of course)
4 - Zog (Mirage) - big, badass, triceraton, his plot thread in RtNY was awesome, and might be why I rank that storyarc as one of my favorites
5 - Traximus (NT) - can you tell I'm a sucker for brutish triceratons?
6 - Metal Head (NT) - a pint sized powerhouse that uses his metallic hair to fight, need I say more?
7 - Slash (Toy) - definitely my favorite action figure, so gnarly!
8 - Mondo Gecko (Toy) - a close 2nd to Slash, and both their Archie incarnations are pretty awesome as well.
9 - Dreadmon (Archie) - something about a Jamaican werewolf strikes my fancy...
10 - Blodgett (OT) - ok so I think he was in only one ep of the Old Toon, but this nerdy neer-do-well who found a magical Shredder-helmet made quite the hilarious impression on me, something about the way he mourned all of his troubles to his pet cat Mortimer, or maybe the way Vernon yelled "Blodgett!" when he crashed the Channel 6 news van, or just even the name Blodgett itself!!! ahh Blodgett...
