TMNT Classic Cartoon Drinking Game

I've played games where you watch a movie, and you set rules up for it where you have to take a sip of beer everytime a specific thing happens. I have'nt tried this yet, but I've thought of some good rules to play while watching the old school cartoon, which should be fun since a lot of the people that grew up watching it are old enough to drink now.

Take one sip of beer for each of the following:

1. Everytime Leonardo "leads" (Comes up with a plan, tells someone what to do, prooves that he is the best ninja)

2. Everytime Donatello "does machines" (Anything he says thats tech related, everytime he has a new device, or anything geeky like that)

3. Everytime Raphael is "cool, but rude" (Anything sarcastic, any time he makes fun of someone or something)

4. Everytime Michelangelo is a "party dude" (Any 80's lingo he says, everytime he mentions pizza, cracks a joke, etc)

5. Everytime April mentions getting to a story

6. Everytime Irma talks about getting a date, or talks about men

7. Everytime Splinter "teaches them to be ninja teens" (Any wise saying, anytime he prooves he is a master ninja)

And for the bonus:

Everytime there is a mistake, (wrong voice to wrong character, wrong headband colors, etc) you must take a shot!


If anyone has any improvements to this game, or any more characters that they would like to add, with typical actions of them leading to a sip, post them here.

Legal to drink? When has that ever stopped anyone....:D

I don't see very many mistakes when watching casually, and if you've had any alcohol you'd be less likley to pick up on those mistakes. The shot is something thats supposed to be a rare thing in these games.

And notice I didn't say legal to drink, I just said old enough.

Any time you notice the TMNT voice actors voiceing some radom character or generic bad guy take a drink. (or any TMNT chracater for that matter)

( recuring chracaters don't count ie: Bebop and Rocksteady, Burns, Vernon, ect)

honestly the old toon TMNT voice actors voiced like every other radom person in like every episode, as well as alot of one shot villians. These boys where vesatile to say the very least and extremely talented. However they really should have used Tress MacNeille a bit more often. I've been watching her performances on Futurama and the Simpsons as radom and recuring chracters and she would have been comedic gold to have voiceing more chracaters on the show instead of just Kala.

Is it obvious when a turtle voices another character, or do they at least sound different from leo, raph, etc?

I know from reading the cast list that they do use them for a lot of minor characters, but when watching casually I didn't realize it.

watching these episodes now as an adult, I can't believe how much of the turtle cast that I am picking out in the back ground voiceing radom characters or one shot villans. The hardest one that I find to pick out is Townsend Coleman and sometimes Barry Gordon. But yeah if you listen carefully enough its pretty easy to see.

Pizza references? That could work. Every time Shredder insults Bebop, Rocksteady, or both.

I consider pizza refrences to fall under "michelangelo being a party dude." But only if Mikey refrences it of course.

I was also thinking of adding in shredder insulting Rocksteady and Bebop, especially when he calls them creatons(sp?)

Now I've gotta actually play the game

-whenever Krang and Shredder bicker/insult each other-
-whenever Shredder gets away with a transport module/portal-
-whenever anyone mentions or reffers to pizza-
-whenever Splinter has sushi-

-whenever Burne threatens to fire April-
-whenever Vernon runs off in fear or makes some chickening-out remark-
-whenever Bebop and Rocksteady just shoot their guns and the turtles stand there, planning out their next move with those laser blasts just firing past them-

-whenever you see a TMNT vehicle that ISN'T the Van or Blimp-
-whenever Bebop and Rocksteady do succeed on a mission-
-when it's an episode about a guest star (Rat King, Usagi, Leatherhead, etc)
-any time you see April's ass cover half the screen or more-

I like your suggestions for taking shots, I think I'll add some of those to the rules. But about taking sips...there can't be too many. A good game of this type is one that isn't just a non-stop drinking fest, you should also be able to just chill out, talk, or watch the episode.

Take a sip when:

April gets kidnapped: this would happen only once in an episode, so adding it to the list would just make it un-neccesarily long

Krang and Shredder bickering: I'm thinking every time you hear shredder insult someone using a word that isn't common vernacular now. (varmit, creatons,etc)

shredder getting away with transport: also would make the list too long for something that doesnt happen more than once an episode

mentioning pizza: this is included for mikey being a "party dude." If he mentions pizza, then you take a drink

Splinter has sushi/mediates: I'm thinking of changing the rule for Splinter to be everytime he does something ninja master-y. Eating sushi, meditating teaching a lesson, getting preminitions, etc

Burne threatining to fire April: thats a good one! or just being an asshole in general

Vernon chickening out: This is one I wanted to add. Everytime Vernon acts like a p*ssy, or fabulous

Bebop and Rocksteady missing gunshots: Theres about one fight per episode, so I wouldnt want to add a rule to the list for something that doesnt happen more than once an episode

Take a shot when..

Vehicle besides turtle van blimp: I think thats a good one, I'll add it to my list

Bebop and Rocksteady suceed: I was thinking about this too, good idea

Episdoe about a guest star: That seems like a good one, but you already know its about a guest star by the title of the episode, and the fun in this game is searching or discovering things as your watching the episode. This would be more like taking a shot before the episode starts because you know which one you want to watch.

April's ass covering half the screen: real good one. Also everytime April shows more than normal cleavage

I'll take some more into consideration and maybe make a complete list of rules

I know this one isn't all that common, but what about whenever Shredder yells at Bebop or Rocksteady for bringing the module up at the wrong place?
