What is your earliest TMNT memory? In other words, what happend, when did it happen, and why did it happen? I was 3 switching through the channels with my older brother(6). Then we switched and it was the intro to the cartoon. My brother and I really enjoyed that show and told my other brother(7) about it. We then kept on watching it, got merch, and bought the movies and watched them countless times.

I'd have to say my earliest memory would have to be when I first caught the tail end of "The Old Switcheroo." It had to be the very first time I ever saw the TMNT on television. I was into Duck Tales and Chip n' Dale Rescue Rangers at the time, but I started growing outta them. I finally became a full-time fan around late '89 right before the first movie debuted.

I have a lot of memories connected to TMNT. I remember the first time I ever heard about it was from some kid it school who told me to go to Toys R Us and buy the toys, I would have been five years old in 1988. I also have a lot of memories of buying the action figures themselves. My memory of getting the Leatherhead figure is really clear, I remember it like it was yesterday. I also remember getting the Ace Duck figure, the same day the first TMNT movie came out in theaters. 8)

First episode I ever saw was "Splinter No More". The kid who lived next door to us was a friend of mine of my sister's, and he was into TMNT before we were. Actually, I'd heard of TMNT beforehand, but I didn't know anything near the amount he knew. At least this guy knew more than just Shredder, the Turtles, and Splinter. I didn't even know who Bebop and Rocksteady were until the next year!
Oh yeah, when it happened...since I was about 3 or 4 at the time, it was during the second season, and I was living in the mobile home I first lived in when I moved to the city I lived in now, it was definitely sometime in late 1988. I think I might have seen Invasion of the Punk Frogs some time before that, but I might be wrong...it's only a vague memory.
That was the first ACTUAL time I saw TMNT on TV, but my fandom officially started in mid to late 1989 when my mom rented the Heroes In A Half-Shell VHS for me. She then recorded it to a Beta tape (Beta has better quality recording, but less length). I was 4 then (5 in October) and totally enjoyed it! I don't remember if it was before or after that year that I got my Metalhead figure (I believe it was Xmas that year I got it), but all I can tell you is that's how I got on the road of TMNT!

I can't even remember how old I was...maybe 2 or 3. Anyway, I loved TMNT since the series started. I got pretty much every figure back then...of course now they are long gone and missing. I juist got back into TMNT again after findind out they were redoing the cartoon. It's been like a trip back in time for me...I'm startin my collection with the figures, Series 1-3 all carded. Hopefully, I'll get a few also just to mess around with. For old times sake.

Even before I got into the Turtles, I remember the kids in second grade playing the characters at recess. They made me Casey Jones one time I think, although I had no idea who he was at the time.

The earliest and most vivid TMNT memory I have is when I bought my first two figures, Leonardo and Bebop at a Hills department store in a Buffalo NY suburb.
I also remember trying vanilla ice cream on peperoni pizza with my cousin. Lets just say it was, um..., interesting. :trazz:

I first heard of the turtles when other kids were talking about them during recess. I tuned into the show and was instantly hooked. I think the first episode I saw was "The Shredder is Splintered."

Lemme see...my earliest TMNT memory. That'd have to be one Christmas (must have been either 88' or 89' depending on when the toyline came out, which could mean I was either 9 or 10 years old.) were I got a Splinter figure & a Raphael figure from my cousin, Aunt & Uncle. I had NO clue who the heck these toys were, but I sure did learn to love them. I still have those two figures & they were the squishy headed Raph & Splinter, so I guess I got them in 88' then? I lost all of their weapons, except for Splinter's bow. Raph's Sai's broke so they were tossed, but I think I still have his other assorted ninja weaponry.
When I got the new figures, I bought Raph & Splinter first to sorta start the cycle all over again. :D Ahh memories....

Can't remember when I originally got into Ninja turtles.
I do remember being in after-school day care in first or second grade and playing Ninja Turtles on the playground. At some point, the pretend bad-guy had captured me and my playmate (we were the turtles, obviously, but I have no earthly clue which turtles we were).
Obviously, this was a time before we understood biology, or that fact that most beings that have a spine sort of need thier spine to survive. I say this because for whatever evil purpose he had in mind, the badguy (presumably Shredder) took our shells, but we were still alive and kicking. :teek: And, apparently, naked to the world :toops: , but that's beside the point. How a turtle can survive without a shell is beyond me. (Cyborg Donny aside). But it made sense in our little minds. What can I say? Kids are weird. :P

Even before I got into the Turtles, I remember the kids in second grade playing the characters at recess. They made me Casey Jones one time I think, although I had no idea who he was at the time. :lol:That almost brought a tear to my eye! I remember all the way back to KINDERGARTEN that I played TMNT every day at recess with my best friend at the time. There was a small drainage ditch next to the slide, and well called that the "sewer"; the slide itself was the "sewer tunnel"; a place near one of the sets of slides was the "pizza parlor"; and the gym right next to the playground, which on the outside very much reminded me so of it, we called the "Technodrome".
Now I see why people want to be a kid again...

My first memory, I think, was when my cousin and his friends, who were all two or three years older than me played it outside one time and I forget who I was, Michaelangelo, probably, because of the name similarity (my name is michael) and that was probably the first time I took notice in them. Later on I started to watch them and I remember my Dad got me a mirror with Michaelangelo and some balloons on it, hehehehe! I forget what the first episode was I ever saw but I think it might have been one of the ones from Season 4.

first memory was watching Case of the Killer Pizza, seemed like the very first one that was ever shown in my area...go fig
I have vauge memories of watching the cartoon and playing with the toys, but I haven't the foggiest clue how old I was at the time. I also remember running home to catch TNM, but that was way later, my semi-revival. However, I do remember my full revival vividly. It was December 2000, and I had been directed to Fanfiction.net from a Gargoyles site, saw the catagory for Ninja Turtles, said "Hey, I remember them," and the rest is history.

My earliest TMNT memory is that the show occurred on Sunday mornings when I was 8. I would beg my mom to let me stay home and do homework. However, I would do some science and math homework during the show. She never knew about it. The following year, it started to occur every weekday, which was my break between school and homework.
