I've become curious as to what happened to a lot of people I went to school with when I was little, but I can't remember a lot of names, and/or have no idea where they are now. Does anybody know of a reliable way to look people up either by school/year, or just some kind of internet "phone book" of sorts that I could use to look people up?

There are sites like classmates.com, of course. But to get any useful information you have to pay them money.

Honestly, as horrible as MySpace is, it actually makes it quite easy to find classmates, so long as they've provided the correct info in their profile.

Yep, what she said. Even if you dont feel like making a profile for yourself, you could just register and put yourself down with a fake name like Casey Jones and browse. Once youve registered, you can search by school name (so if you wanted to check high school or middle school) and graduating year. Plus you can always unregister if the site isnt to your liking.

Wow...

And here's me, dreading my 10 year reunion. I don't want to see one person I ever went to school with.

Hope ya find them, though, since you want to.

In addition to myspace and classmates.com you might want to ask the school itself. Sometimes the schools have old yearbooks, rosters, school newspapers, or other records that are open to you. Many high schools have alumni webpages, too.

Wow, I think if you want to track down your old classmates using myspace, you should at least make an accurate profile so they can "track down" you as well. Maybe some old friends will get in touch with you?

Or if you want to try a long shot, just google their names. This works in most of the cases, since you know what you're looking for (approximately at least) and since every damn hayshack has its own website these days, you should find at least traces of people.

Darn you, TMB.

High school was the worst experience of my LIFE. Pure Heck and all that. But you made me go on Myspace, just out of curiousity, look up classmates.

And I kinda wanna say something to them.

That's right, every person who made my life miserable for 13 years (k-12 with all the same kids... tiny school) and I wanna play nice?

You owe me, Nintendo Boy.

I met quite a few people through Myspace and Facebook. Anyone can have a Facebook account now, so you can see the people who actually went to college and did something with their lives, TMB.
