Considering Shredder has been dead for several years, and yet the Foot on occassion attacks them.... has one of the TMNT ever just plain blurted out, "Look man! He's been dead for so-and-so years!!! Just let it go and leave us the &%$& alone already!!"

Well, that's pretty much what City At War was all about.

Well, currently in Vol. 4, the Foot and the TMNT are uneasy friends and no longer fight, Karai having appeared to have let bye-gones be bye-gones.
All the Foot battles happen in the pages of Tales of the TMNT, which takes place earlier in the timeline.

Uh the turtles and the foot made a truce during the City at War arc when Karai's daughter was killed by some gangsters. They've had an uneasy truce for nearly 20 years and Leo occasionally works with Karai. Raph is drinking buddies with Cha Ocho (Karai's 2nd in command).

Didn't Leo kill Cha Ocho in Volume 4?

They fought with sticks in a practice room and Leo pwned him that was about it.
In my opinion Volume 4 sucks but maybe once it's completed it will be an epic worth reading. But as it stands it's hardly worth waiting for next months issue because crap happens. I like Tales alot better and I look forward to these movie comics as well.

I'm a big fan of Tales, too. However, from what I have of Vol. 4, I like reading what's going on with Michelangelo.

I really like the overall epic feel of Volume 4, but it was too painful waiting for the comics to come out for a story that barely inches along. I think it would make a hell of a good very long novel if it didn't take so long to get to the point. Also, the art quality is, um, declining... but each issue is always nice and long, with few ads and lots of letters, and I like that. I don't like Peter Laird's own portrayal of Donatello--it seems weird, but Don is so self-righteous and clearly the main character that it bothers me. Ah well, what can you do.
Tales is awesome, depending on the issue... sometimes people write the characters just wrong, but the art is always a treat and the character development is awesome.

I think we've all established that Tales of the TMNT v2 > TMNT v4.
The artwork, stories and action shine in Tales more than it does in the main series. Ugh! I wish Eastman would've stayed with the TMNT.

Apparently Volume 4 is put on hold until after the movie. I literally pick up the comics several at a time rather than one every month.
