Today, at work, I was sitting at my desk, browsing these forums, when from behind me, I heard a kid humming a very familiar song.

I turned around to see a kid, about 5 or 6 sitting on the floor, playing with some toys and cards.

The best part of all though, was that it was the original theme song to the Ninja Turtles. :o

I was immediately thrown back to 1992.

Perhaps there is hope for this world yet.

Usually when people hear the TMNT theme they tell me it sounds stupid. Or say something like "Power Rangers was cooler" I always tell them to shut up, remind them that Power Rangers sucked, or if their a friend or family member I hit them.

I have the TMNT theme as my ring tone so people around me hear it a lot haha

In another thread, I saw a neat scenario before my eyes. I am currently a student teacher at the middle/high school level. Last fall, I was at a high school with a bunch of freshmen, whom give me the giggles every once in awhile. In the past 2 months, they have given me indications that they too like ninja turtles. The first one occurred 4 weeks ago. My mentor teacher got some new safety goggles for her students. Anyways, we were going to give some of them to the students. Two of them took the goggles and put them on. The first thing that they said, "Now, I look like a Ninja turtle". That put a grin on my face. A week ago, I noticed that some of my students have ninja turtles all over their binders.

Keep the hope alive.

When my nephews come to visit, they request to watch TMNT, because they know it's uncle Zach's favorite. They only seem interested in the older toon, which makes me happy.
