Well? its hogmanay tomorrow, so what are you all up to for it? getting hammered? not getting hammered? working? what?

me, i'm working it. I see hogmanay as just another night out, and haven't really had any awesome experiences on it. I much prefer new years day in which i'll visit family during the day and normally go to a coupla house parties in the evening. So i'm working (for the 3rd year in a row). I'll be on the bar, (so will my fiancee, which is nice! - no worrying about trying to get a kiss at the bells) and its not exactly the strictest of places, so i'll probably be boozy by 11.00pm(ish). then after we are all closed up, all the bar staff and the live-in staff (its a hotel) will be getting free drink until the wee hours of the morning. so, free drink all night, and its double time. much better than paying a ton of cash to get into some crappy club, taking ages to get served, finally getting served and it costing like double the amount it normally would, then trying to get home in a massive taxi queue. finally getting a taxi and it costing twice the amount than usual. there's a massive street party going on too, in which Wet Wet Wet are headlining, but i really dont fancy that, especially since its supposed to be really wet and windy, but my mam is a massive Wets fan, so she'll be there.

So, what are you all up to?

simply Nada (nothing). I wish that I had something to do for New Years.

I don't drink, so I don't do that...

I invited a bunch of people over, but the only person is able to come is feeling sick, so I could end up doing a whole bunch of nothing myself. :tdead:

I'm getting drunk somewhere in town. Depending on which bar has the best music, I'll be there, drinking myself under the table with the lads and about three lasses (more welcome, but not required).

I'll be sitting here by my lonesome.

I think the neighbor kids have fireworks. I might watch them shoot some bottle rockets or something...man my life is boring :P

Oh come on guys you say theres nothing to do but there must be something!

I'm going to a party, but I'm not sure where right now. I'm trying to decide before tommorow.

And at the party I will get really drunk and play a game. The game is who can stay up the longest still drinking. Nobody else knows they are playing though.

My grandparents always come over for New Years. So we'll all hang out at home... I'll watch everyone eating all the yummy food... And it'll be New Years.

I like that they come over, though... It's tradition.

I just caught a fever and a sore throat, so I'm spending my New Years Eve watching James Bond and finishing Zelda: Twilight Princess. Not too bad, I guess.

It's not that there's nothing to do....it's just that doing something requires money, and I am broker than broke :( and anyway, I'm not much of a party type. I'm a big homebody.

It's really ok though, because I'm moving! YAY!!! I don't mind being by myself tomorrow much. Just makes it like the previous years :)

I'm going out to get hammered at a party... one of two I'm invited to. Didn't decide yet which one, tho'.

I'm so popular these days.

I'll be doing nothing at all, mostly because my girlfriend hates me, but also because she works. More because she hates me though.

I'll be seeing the German rockband "Die Ärzte". It's going to be a huge-ass open air concert.

I have the honoured task of taking my 16 year old brother out and "showing him a good time". Almost all clubs and pubs are over 18 though, and they're especially strict this time of the year so I may end up taking him to some parties I have been invited to. Alternatively I could ditch him in an alley full of prostitutes and go get drunk myself.

I think I'll start out by working on a drawing for a friend, then play video games for a while, and maybe go skating while putting printer-made stickers on objects in the streets. I dunno what else I'm gonna do...maybe stay up till, like, 2 AM to do other things.

Aha, but said person is not sick after all! And said person shall bring people, have munchies, and will have access to hi speed internet! Buahaa!

Hahahahaha! I'm back! Partied hard. Very hard. Lots of Bloodsport (black, white and red vodka mixed... killer drink) and I bought brass knuckles from a guy I never met before, then met the guy who sold the knuckles to him, traded them in for spiked ones and then got drunk.

After some more drinking, I was asked whether I could clean up some vomit, which I did. So then I got a really awesome ham and cheese toast. Just for swinging around the mop a bit and singing "When Johnny comes marching home". Then I met the new anchorwoman of our local TV-station and went to have a drink with her. I introduced her to the lads and made my weapons-deal in front of her, which irritated her a lot (I didn't only trade the crap knuckles for good knuckles, I also bought a pair of quartz-sand-reinforced gloves and a telescope-baton for my friend). So that was that and she was quite surprised by the amount of subculture in the city.

It was great.

enjoy the South Park marathon. I cannot watch my TV because I lost the cable remote and the DVD player is broken.

Uh, Happy New Year. Sorry I'm late, but had to sober up a bit.

How drunk did you all get? Or still are?

One of the best New Year's Eves ever. I drank and danced like hell.

When all the girls on the dancefloor were exhausted and refused to dance more, I took a chair and danced with it for a while, much to my friends' amusement. That was great! I think I have to pull out a gimmick like that more often.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! *takes a morning shot*

Bah! You all go and get drunk. At least when I get old, I will have more active brain cells then you! :P

I spent New Years with my mom and dog. Yes, my dog. She stayed indoors and watched the fireworks with us on TV, nothing suss folks. Anyway, I cooked my infamous Japanese style udon noodles with fried ham and egg, which was very much enjoyed, and I actually convinced my mum to watch an episode of Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. She was hooked by the end of it  We then watched the fireworks being fired from the Sydney Harbor Bridge for 15 minutes, let the dog out and went to sleep.

The boring story of my life, but it was nice :)

well i got drunk, whilst getting paid double time, some of my family came round to my work just after the bells and we had a few drinks til 2.00am-ish, was gonna go back to my mam's for a party but the missus was a little worse for wear (sick and all that - too much drink) so we just went home. woke up a coupla hours ago, i'm on my first beer and am waiting for me step-sis to come and pick me up and take me round to my mam's, where there'll be heaps of food and drink and family :D

hehehehe

Sounds like everyone pulled through ok :D

I spent the evening kinda quiet. Got a nice surprise phone call....packed up my place so I can get to moving 8) ...ate some pizza, drank a little, then went outside to see the kids shoot off some bottle rockets. (which the police didn't like too much since last night the airport was taking planes off in my general direction. though I have to admit, It was amusing to see this one pilot's face when the thing exploded......it wasn't close as all that, now!!!) Today I will move some of my junk over to the new place and eat some collard greens and black eyed peas for luck in the nex year.

hurray for 2007!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, come on, you don't have a headache after some beer, especially when you drink it along with something non-alcoholic.

I'm just going to sit here and play Zelda until my ass goes flat on me. Then I'll get up, eat lunch, and come back to Zelda to do some fishing.

Exactly. But I was expecting to, just from the amount of food I'd eaten. That I'm a light weight.

Oh were talking about headaches, not throwing up. Sorry. But yeah, I'm a light weight.
