Konami announcement - Turtle game :)

We've known for a while that there's games coming out, but today Konami had a press conference which confirms a projected release date for October... woot!

Well It is not A DOOM III... Because it is a console conversion, I'd say About 500MHZ and GF2 would do the job. OF course this is just speculating...

Phantasy Star Online has it, and it's an action RPG, and first person shooters like Halo can handle the action on four screen. I'm pretty sure an action game with four players can be done. Like Gauntlet, but much better.

Please dont let this be another fall into the 3d trap(Blood Rayne, Max Payne, etc) I know the thing is to go all 3d...and I know Shinobi and Metroid went 3d...but thankfully Contra went 2.5d like Strider 2 did...just something fun about that. Either way, this game HAS to be a beat em up in the vein of either a 3d brawler(if Bouncer had been a cool game) or the original TMNT arcade.

With Konami behind the new videogame, I'm expecting it to be very good. And a new beat 'em up turtle game is just what the doctor ordered. :D

I hope the game is 3D, only because I'd want it to be like that of maybe Spider-Man. Where they're in an interactive enviroment and do certain missions and what not. And you could be any of the turtles, or even Splinter. And for two player mode, it could be either taking turns on levels or even split screen style or something. But I guess 2D would work too....

Games like Castlevania Symphony and Contra are examples of how 2D still works, and Metroid is an example of how 3D can work if done well.

Well if you want arcade style 3d beat em up with massive enviroments and missions, from what Im hearing the upcoming City of Heroes online game will be right up your alley! Cant wait for that...imagine, you can create your own TMNT like character!

Luckily companies are starting to see that people want a return to the fun factor or late 80's arcades, but with new graphics. Contra Shattered Soldier, Strider 2, Castlevania Symphony/Circle/White Night Cocnerto/etc show that.

Oh yeah, THANK GOODNESS for MAME! It was one of the main factors I decided to finally break down and get a computer. Whoever came up with MAME is a genuis...it is truly a dream come true, and now I have TMNT and TMNT turtles in time in all its arcade glory!

Indeed on the MAME notion. I had wanted that old Capcom Dungeons & Dragons game for years, and there was never a home port (well not one that made it out of Japan). But when there was a version for Mame out, we brought my PC down to the large TV downstairs, hooked up the AV jacks in and played some old arcade fun.

Well I just noticed that a streaming verison of the trailer is available. Well there is no game play shots, Just a guy drawing a Turtle sketch, and some animated backrounds from the new show. It also shows some covers of the original TMNT comics. And all the time the new theme plays on backround.

man, i hated spiderman. classic proof of of how the camera view can ruin a game. if i could've just got the damn camera to stay behind me at all times, i'd i've been fine. on their forums, the devs said they would NOT do it. they didnt even wanna try. like its anything difficult at all. bastards.

I would be nice if the PC version had an online multiplayer mode. A long shot, I know but it would be cool. I hope this game is fully 3D and is more than just a simple game that requires you to kill bad guys, contrary to what some on this board wish. It ain't 1990 anymore boys and girls, we actually have 3D graphics now. I'd like to see our four green heroes fully realized in glorious 3D. Get out of the past. Look at Konami's Metal Gear series (which I love, espcially Metal Gear Solid). Now just replace Solid Snake with one of the TMNT, wouldn't it work? I'll be interested to see if there are any stealth elements in the game, because they're ninja, aren't they supposed to be stealthy? I for one think it would make the game much more complex and entertaining than just running around beating the crap out of random Foot. Anyone else agree?

totally. The tomb Raider/Kain/Max Pane behind the character look is so old. This looks interesting, looks just like the cartoon counterparts.
BTW, that second white background group shot of the TMNT...WOW!!!
