Mikey Kelly is Michelangelo. Not sure what exactly he does, but it was mentioned he has ties with Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network.

And that manip made of Jedi Leo? It's right on the mark. :trazz: :tlol: James Arnold Taylor is Leonardo. I knew his voice sounded familiar, that I had heard it somewhere before, when I listened to him talk in the trailer! I knew it!

"Darkwing Duck" was one of my favorites when I was a kid...that'd be cool if it was real. I kind of hope none of the turtles is being voiced by Grey DeLisle. Um, not because of the fact that she's a girl and can't pull it off, but it might stand out when juxtaposed with the other turtles' male VAs. No offense to any of her fans or anything.

James Arnold Taylor's going to work well with voicing Leo. He's voiced Obi-Wan Kenobi in several Star Wars games and shows, so we truly have a Jedi Leo in this film.

Kinda, but no. I saw the first episode of Naruto on CN today, then I immediatley watched the trailer. The similarities in Iruka's(who is voiced by Quinton), and Don are too great. So I just put two and two together.

A good VA has range to his voice. Besides, Master Splinter and Elmo had the same VA, but you would never realize it unless someone told you.

After watching the trailer again, I'm starting to agree with Dr. Doom. Quinton Flynn has a very distinct voice...he's the one saying "Within hours we'll lose the city, but within weeks, the world," for example. Now, I know that you hear Quinton's voice saying "THAT can't be good" (and they show Donny), but it's the only time in the whole trailer that I hear Quinton's voice and Donny linked together.

At the very end of the trailer, we hear a full Don line and get to see Don say it - his retort to Mikey's "your mom" line - and it sounds more like James Arnold Taylor than Quinton Flynn.

But hey, I could be wrong.

I think that might be Leo talking, too. It just happened to have Don in the visual as it was playing. Whoever edited the trailer might have just picked a couple of promising voice clips and stuck them in certain scenes.

Taylor has really good range--he's also Rachet from the Rachet and Clank series and Kingdom Hearts II's Jack Sparrow. Judging from his resume, it's like he's been everywhere.

I think this might be the case, too. Not only does the dialogue not quite match the mouth, but it really doesn't match the scene, either. The shot with Raph and Leo is from the beginning of the movie after Leo has just returned (look at pic 26 and you'll see Raph on the same perch with Leo nearby) and I think it's safe to say they're more than a few hours away from losing the city.

Oh well, we all know trailers can be deceptive.

I love Darking Duck too! And if Steelbeak (Rob Paulson) was Raph, I don't see any problem with Bushroot being Raph too. ;) As some people have said, he kinda sounded like new toon Casey in the trailer. Don sounded fine to my ears too. I was playing around with those new talking Turtle movie toys in the Target today and I like the way Leo sounds. I'm a little concerned about Mike though. I hope all those surfer dude sounding lines are delivered jokingly and not how his voice will sound for the whole movie. He sounded good in the first trailer.

The news regarding James Arnold Taylor -- I think it's great! I feel he's an ideal choice for Leo, especially because I liked his work in the Ratchet & Clank games and Marvel: UA. I'd say he's one of my top five modern day voice actors.

Raph is now voiced by Nolan North (Dr. Ramsey on Port Charles and General Hospital). Ok.. now being a major General Hospital fan....yea...Raph does sound a bit like Nolan.

Okay, I'm a male, and yes I watch General Hospital (at first because I wanted to figure out who the hell Cloud's voice actor was, but then I saw Clouds voice actor through a guy (Manny) off the top of a Hospital, and I was like,"This isn't just about corny love, but heroes and villians too? I'm hooked! o.o" But Yeah, there's my excuse. Now for the reason of my excuse.

Ramsey was a doctor on General Hospital and it's spin-off Port Charles till Port Charles was cancelled in 2002. U would have liked Port Charles...particularly the whole vampire storyline and the aliens too. *L*

But if it's indeed true that Nolan North is voicing Raph then he'd be the 2nd person from TMNT to be on General Hospital as the original series voice of Splinter, Pete Renaday, was a series regular till he was sadly killed off. :( To this day I consider Jasper Jax the long lost hunky brother of the TMNT. :evilgrin:

Ironically Pete Renaday was in an ep of Samurai Jack, which of course starred the late Mako (new movie Splinter). :o

Yea sorry.. I was editing the post. Ramsey is no longer in General Hospital. His run ended when Port Charles was cancelled.

yeah 'Barry'(Mitchell Whitfield) was in 6 episodes of 'Friends'.

Anyway, i just thought of something reguarding the voice cast...Anyone else notice that 2 of the biggest 80's properties(TMNT and Transformers) both have a voice over from a famous actor/VA that died before the movie was released and?

Just a slightly weird piece of trivia i thought about.

TG: Sarah Michelle Geller plays April, Chris Evans plays Casey Jones, Max Winters is Patrick Stewart, Ziyi Zhang is Karai, who's a new character from the film, we have a cameo from Kevin Smith who, just, really wanted to get into it. He came one day and stayed the whole day and laid there on the floor and said, "I want to do this!" Larry Fishburne, Lawrence Fishburne, as well. It's not a huge cast but it is a good cast and it seems to work for this film.

i Like the pic for Donny, when i heard who it was i popped in an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm that he was in, just to check out his voice. He's got a good voice for it.

I'm a little concerned about Mike though. I hope all those surfer dude sounding lines are delivered jokingly and not how his voice will sound for the whole movie. He sounded good in the first trailer.

That is what I am wondering. Why are they making Michaelangelo talk like a suffer dude? This isn't the lete 80's or early 90's any more people so what gives! Can Michaelangelo's character please step away from the suffer persona. Half the reason I appriciateNew Toon Mikey so much is because it is the first incarnation of him that isn't a suffer dude. I hope CGI Mikey is just busting on the past because making speak like a suffer is gonna make him sound dated. :-?

Of what I've read in the novelization, Mikey doesn't have any surfer dialouge. Yes, he says 'dude' but as Kevin stated, the word 'dude' has come a long way since its surfer days. Sure, Mikey has his moments of silliness but he's always been the one to do that kind of thing. If you remember the moment in the first film, where Don asks him, "You think about what Splinter said...you know, about not having him?" and Mikey just kind of ignores him and focuses on the pizza guy; Well, in the novelization...

Mikey has his moment when he says, "Don, you ever feel like you were meant for more. I mean, sometimes I feel like we never even left that glass turtle bowl when we were little dudes. I mean, every day it's the same thing." Splinter and Mikey have a moment something like the scene involving Raph and Splinter in the first movie.

It's not really a spoiler but a line of dialouge. I just assumed, as of now, anything related to this novelization is a spoiler so I might as well place tags around it. I really like Splinter's response.

Yea... I loved that part... I also like Raph's quote about family (it's at the end of the book)

Yeah I like that quote as well. I have a feeling that since Splinter's quote kind of opens the movie, I think Raph's will end it.

Wow. I can't believe they got Lawrence Fishburne for this.

Anyway, I'm even more stoked, I just really hope they don't cut back on Mikey using his nunchuks. He's been using them in the cartoon, so theres really no reason why he shouldn't in the movie.

He's pretty laid back and he does crack jokes but its not at a ridiculous degree. out of all of them i'd say he is the closest to a regular, everyday teen. at the end of the day he just wants to have fun and enjoy life.
