I am just going to ask a "what if" question to my fellow TMNT fans, but what would happen if one day the ninja turtles had actually jedi show up in their lair and teach them the ways of the force???

I believe that if the turtles are taught by the light side then the Foot and Shredder are getting help from the Sith!

the turtles DO know how to use the 'force' as you put it (ki in japanese, chi in chinese). its just that the tmnt universe conforms to the normal laws of physics and using the force doesnt make you a god. i think the turtles, as ninja, would not allow themselves to be bound by that stupid duality of light and dark and use both 'sides' as fitted their purposes.

if you want to see a real 'force master' go look up your local tai chi sifu.

Jedi Turtles has actually been done. It was a multi-author RP thing, but I don't think it's going on anymore. It was the TMNT characters in "playing the parts" of the Star Wars characters.

In faaaact, that whole website was my idea! Then Dawnatello offered to help for a little bit (she was Raph Solo, I was Leo Skywalker). Then we got busy, as more people got scaried away by Jar Jar and Anakin romancing the queen, and so it just sits there now. I might just totally revamp the site and keep it as a funky parody page with profiles and pictures. And leave what bits of the RP we have there.

Yeah... been meaning to make the site look way cooler. It was made back in uh... 1998 when Dawn n I hardly knew a lot about website making or photoshop. Then we forgot about it! So, yeah... I'm surprised GC hasn't locked up the site and put it out of existance already.

Personally, I think this TMNT mish mash is much better than say.. the Star Trek version that they actually made figures for!

Correct. I have heard it said that Lucas based his Jedi characters on the Japanese samurai. Although, I once read an article by a Star Wars fan who made a good case that the Jedi were more like ninja than samurai.

It depends what you mean by 'ninja'.

If you mean clandestine underground organizations with vast espionage networks that engage in covert activities, then no the ninja are not still around.

If you mean individuals training in Ninpo (the 'way' of the ninja) and that use its guiding principles to live their lives, then yes ninja are still around.
