I don't see a lot of promise for the franchise beyond Back To The Sewer, but with the movie coming out, TMNT will at least complete it's long journey back to serious theatrical storylines and maybe end our current run on a happy note.
TMNT: NEW SEASONS
So, in preperation, let us, as fans, put together the next chapter. Canon or not, sporatic continuity is nothing new to us.
Certain writers are needed, so fill 'em up.
Head Writer
Myself (I come up with the general arc, set the rules etc)
Story Editor
Myself
Artist
This does not have to neccersarily have to begin when this season does, but maybe once the season ends, we can have episode "screencaps" photoshopped and scenes illustrated etc, I'm also looking for people who want to do character designs in the same vien as the ones 4Kids released for the BTTS animation models
Writers
Spitfire666xXxXx
(Others To Be Filled)
Rules
(rules? In fanfiction?)
1. Romance is encouraged, but don't overdo it that much. Keep it within the context of the series. If you can, let's try and give Raph something to do with that Tribunal member he had affection for
2. Keep the TMNT and others in character
3. Mary Sues should only be used in a reallistic way and in a manner fitting the tone of the series
Episodes
As the head writer, I can (and sometimes for the sake of the arc, MUST,) propose/request that several storylines to be written, but I will also be flexable enough to allow original ideas. They can either be stand-alone, or they can fit into the general context of the arc unfolding. You can even adapt an original comic in the way the new series adapts it.:)
Episodes should, if the author decides to fit it into the story arc unfolding but not quite bother with it, reference as many major changes as possible that occur before your episode.
A series bible is being prepared right now for every volunteer
The Story
As a fun little excuse, and to add realism, here's how a 4Kids.tv promo would look like:
Shell-Tastic!
Shell-Riffic!
Shell-Splosive!
The TMNT are roaring back...
(Micky is seen alone in a rather messed up lair)
Micky: ...Eerrrr....wher'd everyone go?
...But THESE adventures...you've NEVER seen.
Fast Forward takes you to tommorow, but these never-before-seen adventures wil take you...BEYOND.
The past.
The present.
And the future.
An all new TMNT series...TMNT: The Lost Seasons. Premiering Febuary 2007.
Go on. Say what our critics always yell to 4Kids.TV
"GET LOST"
The TMNT have returned from "a journey" (on no account reference this as anything BUT "the journey", I want that to be decided by the fate of the series, if it's renewed, you'll know what happens after in the next season, if it's not, then it'll be their adventures in the future. This will remain set after Fast Forward), and they have found changed characters. April is emotionally distraught, Casey is distant and angry, Angel is a teen trying every means of staying away from the criminal life that clings to her neghbourhood...oh, and Hun is trying to kill people in Washington.
The Foot are back. Leaderless, they are on the brink of fighting once more, only one entity can restore order...The Shredder, but he is gone, and Karai has become a hermit, who can fill the mantle, and what will occur to the city if they don't? Already falling into chaos every day as the Foot lose purpose, taking jobs from "other forces" like prostitutes, the city is in desperate need of the Turtles
The TMNT rise to the challenge to take out their crippled adversaries and their dangerous masters, but with Hun in control of much of the crime in the city, the Purple Dragons now the dominant force, and the life of a nation's leader in the balance, the Turtles must brave their own demons, their freind's demons, and political demons to ensure their return restores order.
You can volunteer for up to four episodes at a time, but once you make your decision, you can't rectify it
1. Return To Sender (Story by Zarius, "teleplay by Spitfire)
Synopsis: Returning from "a journey" (I won't say if it's the future or anything in case the series does get renewed), the Turtles find a conflicted and distant April O'Neil, a frustrated Casey Jones, and Hun in control of a secret militant battle copter armed with feirce city levelling firepower, it only known as the "Stacked Deck".
That's the only real episode we've got on hand thus far that can be resonably completed and released. The new series bible is being prepared, and will be released soon.
First season: 13 episodes
Second season: 13 episodes
