Umm...Ok...this is a very intelligent review, that should be ranked right up there with Roger Ebert and Joel Seigal....ok I'm not helping my case. But TMNT 3 isn't as bad as what I've seen (and I must admit I've only seen a bit) It's not one of the worst movies I've seen and I've seen Abraxas and Plan Nine from Outer Space. They make TMNT 3 look like Shakespeare. Come on...

EDIT: and boy did I need to do this. I was wrong....the review is OK if you can get past the first 30 seconds where he rants and punches the VHS copy of TMNT 3....so far so good...and hey very little ranting profanity.

EDIT 2x: He's right about not having a known TMNT villain in TMNT 3, but I kinda liked Walker and Norinaga...I wish we'd have learned that those people would give rise to the Foot...kinda to tie it to the past movies aside from the guys April and Elias Jones.

Honestly, I think that he reviewed it as an excuse to shine a bit more light on the new TMNT movie. For those who don't know of him, his rants and rages are exaggerated, so don't be offended, it's kinda his handle. He's even said that he may not really hate what he's reviewing so bad as he makes it out to be,, as much as focusing on the things that frustrates him in it.

I think that he's using this review to praise the other two movies just as much as he is to knock the 3rd movie. I don't think he could get away with one without the other.

The nerd rocks. And yes, these videos are mostly done for fun. He doesn't hate it that much, but just watch it and laugh. I love how the video fell out and he had to slap it back into the cover.

Can't say I don't agree with him, even as a kid I hated that movie. I was so excited to see it to. I was on vacation in LA when it came out and I still went opening day. And I was so let down by how bad it was.

I'm a big fan of the ANN. His rant about the numbering of video game and movie sequels was some of his best work yet.

"The logical name for Rambo 3 should have been 'Rambo 2: First Blood Part 3'".

His analysis of the beginning of the first film makes me remember how awesome it was. Little things that you don't really appreciate as a kid, like how well the beginning teases the eventual appearance of the live action turtles.

LMFAO @ the countdown on the Top 10 Worst Lines. Angry Nintendo Nerd is always on-point with his reviews. I've been a fan of this guy since his Castlevania reviews. Guy is a genius!

Best part is even though he's bashed the TMNT 3 movie and the TMNT game on the NES, he's still a major TMNT fan at heart, and he knows he's gonna see the new movie when it comes out.

If he was willing to watch all five Rocky movies at the same time, he would have enjoyed Rocky Balboa I would think. Rocky Balboa was awesome. Now Rocky V is a movie that has a lot of potential for material.

Plus, I wouldn't destroy those things either. Sometimes even a bad game can be entertaining given the right circumstances.

i think there's a huge nerd boom goin' on in the recent years.
even in Japan, there was a "Densha Otoko" craze. otaku's (basically translates to a nerd stuck to one obsession/hobby) get a special discount in movie theatres when the "Densha Otoko" movie came out.

Unfortunately, I don't think we've learned any lesson from TMNT III. Just look at TMNT Fast Forward, and the plot of the new movie coming out March 23rd. In all fairness, the turtles look better, but the humor is far too childish. Michelangelo's has become an embarrassment, and fighting monsters released from celestial alignment is almost as bad as traveling to feudal Japan.

Personally, I think Raphael is the only character who can save the new movie. The original movie focused on Raphael and his relationship with Splinter and Leo. This movie is taking this to a new level with a fight between Leo and Raph. I'm stoked for the new film, but I already have my worries. The Angry Nintendo Nerd has a way of puting things in perspective. As turtle fans, we desperately want any movie, video game, etc. featuring the TMNT to be good, and this often clouds our judgement.

You needed a highly sardonic and tongue-in-cheek review of a movie already widely recognized as terrible to "put things in perspective"? I am also blown away by your amazement with the AMNs "honesty". You do know his reviews are a joke right? And that every criticism he mentioned has already been mentioned a thousand times prior?

As far as your baseless comparisons of TMNT III and the new TMNT...

The general of concept of TMNT III is not what is widely lambasted, the execution of it is. Also, as self-evident as the "fact" of the absurdity of the new movie's concept seems to you, I myself and most of the other posters here see it as completely in line with the TMNT franchise and are very excited about it (also might want to consider, just for a second, Lairds direct involvement in this regard).

There is absolutely NOTHING of the humor in the trailer that begs any comparison to that horrid third movie. Maybe you hate the third movie and have a bad vibe about this one for some reason, but instead of assuming everyone else is whistling in the dark due to their insane fandom, maybe you should stop for a second, look in the mirror, and consider the possibility that maybe our opinions and expectations differ for valid reasons. Or, heaven forbid, maybe you are just an overly nostalgic paranoia case that will find fault in every new TMNT product that is released short of a time machine that can take you back to experience the old stuff for a second first time.

Until then, myself and the vast majority of the rest of the board will continue to be overjoyed by the trailers that you have found such terrible flaws in, and you are free to keep fretting away to your hearts content. Just leave the psychoanalysis to Splinter okay?
