1990 Movie Question

Hey, I was wondering. I know that the stunt actors for the Turtles had cameos in the movie.

Mikey was the pizza man
Donnie was the Foot Messenger that slapped April
Raph was the patron in the cab.

But I do not know who Leo is. Leo is played by David Foreman.

In the credits, it says David Foreman played Leo/Head Thug. So, I originally thought that he was the guy offering the teens cigarettes. But that ends up being Sam Roakwell, who is casted as "Gang Leader" (which leaves me more confused, because gang leader and head thug are the same thing)

So, who is Leo? Could it be the guy that Tatsu was fighting, and told him not to lower his eyes to an enemy? I have no clue!

^That kind of narrows it down, huh.

But hey, I do know a bit of trivia in that scene when the gang leader yells "What are we waiting for? Let's get him!" Well, during Splinter's speech to the teen, if you were to look to the teen standing on the left of the screen, that's Skeet Ulrich from Scream.

But I guess Leo's actor will remain one of those mysteries.

If someone could find some pictures of Mr. Foreman to compare to the gang members in that scene maybe we'll find out.

My theory is that all the Turtles were simultaneoulsy voices and performed (in both normal and martial arts scenes) by the mysterious "guy in the orange hat" behind the table turing the argument scene. :P

If that is the case, I suppose it is somewhat ironic. Cam Clarke voiced both Leo and Rocksteady in the old toon. And in the first episode, the pre-mutated Rocksteady is the head thug who attempts to mug April. Funny how those things work out, isn't it?

I give up. I've been trying to figure out Leo's stuntman cameo, but I just can't. Like someone said above, if there was a picture of David Foreman, we might be able to figure out who he is.:ohwell:

How about the Foot Soldier that Tatsu knocks out when he losses his temper. Some other Foot Soldiers remove his mask and you see an chinees looking guy. I believe David Foreman is Chinees looking.

Foreman a Chinses name? Anything can happen.

It could either be him, or maybe the red head that Tatsu was training. Maybe it was one of the kids that Casey and Raph were "disciplining" after stealing that old ladies purse? They would be considered thugs, right? But which one is the lead thug?

Foreman is Asian, although I'm not certain if he's Chinese.

There was a People magazine article from 1990 that published pictures of all four Turtle actors out of costume (or in partial costume, so that you could at least see their faces). Don't think I have that anymore, though...

I know he did stunt work for Batman Begins and he talks during the DVD feature on the fighting. You can see some really good pics of him on there.

Yeah, I always thought that was where Foreman's cameo was. I actually have that old picture of Foreman & his kid from that old magazine article as well found it recently in some old piles of stuff. There are also some other pics of Lief eating pizza in a fridge and Josh in his Raph trenchcoat with just the Turtle hands on.

It's interesting how the actors playing each Turtle resembled their Turtle in real life. I can't remember the specifics, but Josh's kinda had that Raph atitude when he went in to audition. Michelan Sisti aside from have the perfect name to play Mike was also the one who played jokes and made everybody crack up on set. Lief Tilden actually sounds like Don in interviews. Corey Feldman was great, but I have to wonder why they didn't let Lief use his own voice. Not sure how Foreman is like Leo though, 'cept maybe that Foreman is Asian and Leo is the Turle most in touch with their Asian herritage.

Actually, i think thats also Sam Rockwell, his character pops up three times if i remember right. Right there, then he offers the teen the cigarettes, and at the end with the "we're a family" moment. Also, look to the left of Sam Rockwell in that last mentioned scene, Skeet Ulrich is the kid right next to him, with the hat.

The turtle actors also make cameos in the second film as well. One of them is at the new station, and I know one of them pops up as foot soldier at the junkyard at the very beginning. Im not sure about the other two, though.

Mr. Sisti is the guy coming out of April's apartment building w/ the lady in the second film. Thought that was a cute scene.
