I just wanted to know everybody's opinion on fast forward before the dvd comes out. I know it has its ups and downs well mostly on the downside but just tell me before I go and waste my money on a stupid dvd.
Many thanks!

I'm going to. It's 10 bucks, very cheap. Might as well is how I see it.

I don't care for Fast Forward, but TMNT owns me, so that means buying the DVD. I found it for less than $10, so that's not too bad. And it shipped today, so I should have it within a week.

Meh. If I find 'em on eBay for cheap I'll get 'em.
For cheap?
its 9$ shipped at DDD (http://search.deepdiscountdvd.com/search?p=R&srid=S7%2d2&lbc=deepdiscountdvd&w=fast%20forward&url=http%3a%2f%2fwww%2edeepdiscountdvd%2ecom%2fdvd %2ecfm%3fitemID%3dFUN007244&rk=1&uid=59748881&sid=2&ts=custom&rsc=Gcbzj1dTJK8U12Fg&method=and&isort=score)
I don't see why someone wouldn't get it if they're fans of the 2k3 show,
It does have a dumb down version and starts off kind of bad, but it has gotten better, its in continuity and has good episodes. The past seasons have also had their fair of stinkers, the next 13 episodes are supposed to be darker and we are getting them on a good cheap release none of that 20$ for 3 episodes crap. Buying it you'd also be suporting TMNT in general, they won't understand you're boycotting Fast Forward and see it as not interested in TMNT.

Well on one hand I didn't like most of the first 13 episodes but at that price point I think I could justify buying it just for the few worthwhile episodes. On top of that I've gotten every TMNT DVD released thus far in the US (old show, new show and movies) so I can't disreguard it even if I don't really want to support Fast Forward. I might hold off on buying it but I'll probably pick it up eventually.

I'm thinking about getting it and I feel its worth the money. I missed one or two FF episodes anyways, so the DVD will compensate for that.
I'm going to get it. There were enough good things to make it worth the money. If I paid $15 for 3 episodes from the first season, I guess I'll pay $10 for 13.
Once I get the Season 1 DVD, I'll gladly get it. Even if it's not as cheap as $9 for 13 eps by then, it's still well-worth $1 per ep. And, a mere 1 case for 13 eps? My shelf-space is finally getting the respect it deserves! ^_^Buying it you'd also be suporting TMNT in general, they won't understand you're boycotting Fast Forward and see it as not interested in TMNT.
Well said! :)

I'm getting it because I actually enjoyed about 10 out of the 13 eps.
The only eps I hated was the first one, the Raph wrestling episode, and one of the others, I don't remember which.
I really liked the Bishop and Dark Turtle episodes, in addition to both Inuwashi Gunjin episodes, and the Darius/Shoko'nobo story. The Turtle Titan episode was ok, as well as the Viral ep even if they were nothing special. And of course "The Journal" is included, which I enjoyed.
The next 13 episodes should be better though, at least from what Murphy said.

I can't. I just... no. I'm sure it's not all THAT bad, but I don't get DVDs unless I love almost everything about what I'm getting. The 2k3 DVDs I own are ones I bought because they have episodes that rank among my favorites. If a season 1 set comes out, I'll definitely get it because I'll need it to show people who have never seen the show (can't start 'em at the end of season 3, can I?) and there's some great stuff that happened in that season besides.
I haven't even watched Fast Forward past the first three epsiodes because I can't get over 1) the light bubbly kidness, 2) Cody, and 3) the wonky art style. I couldn't justify buying the DVD to myself.

I know that I'M going to get it, for sure! It comes out on February 6th, and my birthday is the 9th, so, although I hope that someone gets it for my as a b-day present (I've been dropping hints like crazy ever since I found out the release-date! ), if I have to buy it myself, I will.
And anyway, speaking just for myself, I happen to LIKE Fast Forward (it grows on you after awhile, actually). About the ONLY ep that I HAVEN'T liked so far was "Headlock Prime". And yes, I know that it's a Raph-centric ep, and he's my fave, but it incorporates a subject that I absolutely LOATHE: professional wrestling (boy, would Raph and I butt ever heads over THIS one!!! ). So yes, it's on my "Absolutely GOTTA get! TMNT DVDs" List.
And that DeepDiscountDVDs sounds like a good place to get it, IF I wind up having to get it myself. Heh, you can't beat the price at $9.00!!!
(Besides, I want to have a back-up plan just in case my local Wal-Mart Supercenter doesn't get it in stock, for some unfathomable reason. They've been pretty good so far, where that's concerned, but you never know with them. And I'M not ABOUT to take any chances!;) :D )
PLUS which, I totally MISSED "Playtime's Over", due to the fact that our idiotic ex-cable company's signal TOTALLY screwed up the day that it aired, and I didn't hear a half-dozen words of the dialogue (and the picture was almost as bad. In fact, I could SEE more of the ep than I could HEAR!) So the DVD will make up for it. Once I get the DVD, I can FINALLY see the ep in its entirety.

The 10 eps afterward are better. :p (Well, make that 9, because the Raph wrestling episode was awful)

I can't justify spending $10 on something so worthless. There's so much more I can get for my money.
Like... Ten packs of gum. Band Aids. Lipstick. Rubber gloves. Intelligent books. Matches, with which to burn any FF material that might find it's way into my house... Pens... Pencils...

Honestly buying it is a smooth move. You think it's a waste of cash, maybe so but it encourages them to release more TMNT season sets. Like TLS...yes.

Hehe, well I'm glad it came off as a joke. That's how it was intended. :)
But no, I won't be buying. I have my standards and limits.
...and I can't believe that no one questioned the rubber gloves. I'm so disappointed...

But, we already know what you're going to do with them.
*SIGH* Fine. What are you going to do with rubber gloves, I wonder?

Oh no... The moment has passed, mister...
Good. Now, get back to scrubbing my toilet. Or must I subject you to more FF? O_o

I will say... spending 2 bucks on blank tape to tape them on SP mode may actually cost more money than buying the DVD set. 10 bucks for 2 disks is a steal. Had I known that, I wouldn't have taped them.
Now, granted. I on't love FF. It's okay. Sometimes a good episode, lots of filler... it doesn't measure up to the first 4 seasons... but I do enjoy it a little. I will probably buy it, I just nead season 4 first.

I never tape anything the quality on tapes goes from already sucking to horrid after a few views. Plus there's ads and stuff popping up all over the screen everywhere. And I can't watch tapes on my HDTV. TMNT in HD, yes it looks good.
10 bucks is a good price for a DVD. I have a job and I can easily afford a 10 dollar DVD. Though I understand the job market is in a bad state now of days so I'm not surprised that alot of people can't.
I have it!!!!
An FYE I frequent has been known for early-releasing of various DVDs, and this was the latest one.

Short answer - no.
I have the episodes on tape if I really want to watch them again but I don't even see myself doing that any time soon. I've only enjoyed maybe 2 or 3 eps out of 13 in Fast Forward so far. I'm pretty apathetic about FF overall. I'll support TMNT by spending my $10 on the new movie merchandise, not Fast Forward.

I'm going to buy it, for a very simple reason.
There is NO way the episodes will be aired in my country for maybe the next year. I don't know what's wrong with the danish television, but so far they haven't gotten beyond airing season three yet. So the only way I can get to see what everybody is discussing and complaining about is to buy the DVD... And it is really cheap.

Maybe so (on it being illegal). But heck -- I find it out there, so I grab it. :D

So Jon how good is the dvd? Would you recommend it and does it have any special features?

Haven't checked out the Discs yet (as was a bit late when got home last night). But the listing on the inside cover only gives the episodes on each Disc (so might not have any Bonus Features).
Of (mild) note, though. It has a flyer in the DVD-Case -- advertising the Movie videogame, as well as Original TMNT Vol. 6 and Season 4.

They actually advertise the original cartoon DVDs in 4kids DVDs now? Have they ever done that before?
Times are certainly changing...

Exactly. If I wanna support the TMNT, I'll do it with a good medium. The movie, which looks very promising. Not something I know I hate.
