I just would like to know exactly what that ooze does to a living organism, as generally portrayed in the TMNT media. From what I can infer, it grants animals a human-like features, including a bi-pedal position and an intellect not dissimilar from ours. So, hypothetically, and realisticly, what should it do to a human? How about a plant? I just would like some theories that could satisfy my need for something material conditional. So, help?

I don't know of any examples other than what happened in the second movie.. The dandelions as well as Shredder, simply grew larger. I kinda find it a little weird that the ooze mutated Shredder's armor too. He drank the ooze, which I would think would mutate only his body, not anything else that didn't come in direct physical contact with it.. :ohwell:

Well, of course, have the 80s/90s TMNT cartoon as well. With Hamato Yoshi becoming Splinter.

The Mutagen from the old cartoon turned things into the last living thing they were in contact with. The TMNT, the frogs, Mondo Gecko, Leatherhead, Slash, etc were all animals that came in contact with humans and became humaoid animals. Splinter, Bebop and Rocksteady were people that came in contact with animals and also became humanoid animals.

The ooze from the comics and movies seems to evolve a creature's intelligence and/or power to a more humanoid form. The TMNT, Splinter, Bloodsucker and Leatherhead all became humanoid animals. In the movie Shredder basically became a much more powerful human.

yeah, i always thought it was pretty funny that shredder's whole suit mutated, and besides, i don't think the metal would change anyways even if he had poured it on himself, because then the canister would prolly change or something, but who knows, someone didn't think about this when they made the movie;)

Oh no my friends, they planned it. Why ? Well, let say that the armor is not being affected by the ooze. So, what we have here is hulk, only without the green skin. Because of course the armor and upper clothes would tear off, right ? So now, we have one big Shredder, only with pants or what would remain of them, no more spikes, and quite possibly no more helmet, due to the head getting bigger.

Now lets compare the 2.

A big Hulk-like Shredder, big muscles, no more spikes, no more helmet or a all fissured and busted one, maybe some kind of different face, evil one for sure. This is what you call a freak.

VS

A Super Shredder, big muscles, BIG bad a$$ spikes, a hell of a helmet and clothes that are now fitting the body. Really what you call a super villain.

Wich one do you think kids would want to buy the most ?

I don't call this a mistake from the production team. I call this selling a product.

That shredder was like the best shredder ever. No matter what the turtles would had tried, there was no way for them to take ''that'' down. Since they never used their weapons in the movie... :roll:

Its all marketing folks. Well planned marketing. Sure its not making any logic sense, but for a kid, that shredder was now great. I still remember when I first saw it on big screen, oh man. I was shocked, but found him to be really cool looking. Got the toy the day after...
