No I don't under stand German, but that is ok, you don't have to understand some thing to enjoy it. I listen to japanses songs all the time and don';t understand a word. I disagree though I though the song fot well with the shots of animation that it showed.

Of course you don't have to understand a text to enjoy it. i myself have some problems with english songs, so I only listen to the melody and of course you can disagree there with me, Sage Ninja...everyone has got his own flavor. AMVs have lost their meaning, these days anything, and I mean ANYTHING that was done in s*itty windows movie maker can be called one so long as it's animated, betraying the core roots of why the term "AMV" was created in the first place.

And yes, EVERY AMV, the ones made by ignorant noobs anyway, use dated bands. Can I ask for some small leverage of innovation? Is it TOO hard and overbearingly difficult for these "AMV creators" to take a glance at AMV.Org and find out what an AMV is meant to look like, and what it needs to represent? Otherwise they should'nt call it an AMV, just what it is, a crappy music video badly edited and spliced together with something that usually is'nt anime

I took high school German, but my nouns and verbs are rusty. Lots of counting in this song, all the way up to twelve! (And people complain about "Turtes Count it Off -1,2,3,4 ;)) Noticed some nice lyric/picture editing early in the song. The word "augen" means eyes and we get a close up of Casey's eye at that point. As for the chorus I can't remember if sonne mean sun or son. Makes more sense for the video if it's the latter. But the chorus says something about "here comes the sun/son" and something about being "the help of all" I think. Best I can do on translation. I've heard some Rammstein before. My old boyfriend liked "Du Hast." And we kickbox to Rammstein sometimes in kung fu class.

I once had a translation of the German theme that my German professor helped me work on but I don't have it anymore. It's been almost a year since I had it. I don't remember all the lyrics but I don't remember much (if any) counting and I remember that overall the German theme is a pretty faithful translation of our American theme.
