Will FF end?

I'll state up front that I haven't finished watching season 4 yet, and have never seen FF or the "lost season". But, just wondering what the future plans for this series are. Will there be a return to present day, or is FF the forseeable future for this show?

I figure the "lost season" continues where season 4 left off. I therefore assume that the present day storylines were all wrapped up prior to FF, however maybe that isn't the case, and would warrent a return to present day?

Yeah, with the LS still in limbo it's hard to say what was wrapped up in "season 5". I'd like to see a return to the present, but I'm not sure it'll happen. I just wish they'd tie the >> future to the established TMNT past of the prior 5 seasons, but again with the possibility that some of this would result in having to go back to the LS I don't know how well that would even work.

FF is clearly set after LS as "The Journal" episode shows.

I think the plan for FF was "26 stand alone episodes", so I think it is one arc and will end with episode 26. Whether that's the end of the show or if they do more modern day episodes after that remains to be seen.

Of course FF could prove popular enough that they do extend it past the original 26 episodes/1 season. Though from what I've heard whilst toy sales have gone up a bit the ratings haven't improved the way they hoped. If the movie does well then it's probably more likely they'll return to the modern day, maybe even feed some of the movie characters into the series.

Maybe this is a decent idea. If FF does indeed end with this season and they return to the past, I like the idea of the turtles having confrontations some of new movie villians. This way there is some new blood (no reference to past ep's). After the lost season hopefully there is no more shredder at all. I wouldn't mind seeing Karai some more but with less of a focus on her. Bishop I also wouldn't mind seeing more of but I don't really want to see more of Hun or the Purple Dragons.

Actually, I'm kinda intrigued by where Hun goes with the Purple Dragons... I'm still impressed that they took the standard musclebound lackey and made him a decent villain with a brain in his skull...

thanks for all the replies, guys. so in short ... the future of the series is unknown.

Another question ... Season 5 and Season 6 (Lost Eps and FF) are on DVD. Are these the entire seasons, or is FF, for example, still continuing and will require another DVD release?

Season 5, or the Lost Season, has yet to be released on DVD.

The first 13 episodes of >> have been released, and a second volume will be needed for the second half of season 6 (or maybe even season 7...depending on how 4kids decides to label it)
