I'm stupidly excited that Friday is the 23rd, marking one more month. (Even though it's less than 30 days because Feb is short.)

cowabunga14

I figure since this month is short, we won't have to wait as long for the movie. A month's worth of waiting isn't that bad.

This is true.

And I'M stoked because my local theatre is only a few blocks from me (an EASY walk, IF I DO need to walk), AND, since I'm 50, and TECHNICALLY a senior citizen, I can take advantage of the Senior's admission, which is only $5.00! So my youngest niece, Ashley, and I ALREADY have a date for this.

I've made 2 countdown clocks for posting on sites(ive got mine on myspace)

Well here it's $4.00 before Noon, $6.00 from Noon - 6pm, and then after that it's like $8...oi...so Im definatly gonna try to get to the first showing...which will probably be around 10am

And I too can easily walk to the theatre...but...I'll probably just get a ride... my mom goes to work around that time so I'll just get a ride from her. *L*

I dont think theres any around me that show before Noon. But here(in my town atleast) all shows up until 5 are $4.50, and then all shows are $6.50. But then in Winston its $6.50 for all shows up until 6 then i think its like $8...But i like going up to the drive-in theatre, during the week its $5 for 2 movies, and $5 for 3 movies on the weekend, and your allowed to bring your own food(dominos!! lol), plus the screen is insanely huge.

Here is the release dates for the movie in some countries:

March:
22 - Isreal, Russia
23 - USA
28 - Belgium
29 - Argentina, Hong Kong, Malaysia
30 - Iceland, Norway, Spain, Turkey, UK, Venezuela

April:
5 - Australia
11 - France
12 - Germany
13 - Austria
20 - Latvia
25 - Netherlands
26 - Singapore

June:
22 - Finland

There's no release date for New Zealand as of yet. But they're adding more release dates all the time. The newest addition to the release dates list is Venezuela.

In regards to New Zealand, they should get the movie the same time as us. Usually we get things at the same time. It still sucks though, since we usually get things later than the rest of the world. First video games and now the TMNT movie...what will they cut next?

I'm really starting to get excited now, a while back it just seemed so far away so I wasent really paying attention to anything for the movie but now I'm really pumped to see this film.

The last Ninja turtle film I got to see in theaters, well in fact it was the only one was TMNT 3......dear god dont make me go into why I hated it so much (even if it was slightly fun) but I'm really excited to see the turtles on the big screen.

Just found a theater that will be playing the movie at midnight, I took the day off so I could see the movie maybe twice and then go see Lacuna coil and Stone Sour.

Damn this is going to be a great week!

In my animation class this morning, one of the guys asked loudly "Who wants to go see TMNT on Friday?" Of course everyone looked at me. :P There seems to be a general enthusiasm for the film, and that makes me happy. I don't know if I'll see it with them or not - depends on when I can see it with my friends. If it's different times, and if I really enjoy it... heh, maybe twice?

Here's something my friend brought up last night that I hadn't thought of before. Are you guys concerned about being in a theatre surrounding by whiny, loud, annoying kids? I know seeing children in the theatre is a good sign, given that it is a kids' movie and that it shows the property is reaching virgin eyes, but I'm not looking forward to an audience full of eight-year-olds.

I'll probably catch a late showing and see if that helps.

There were a lot of kids in the theater when I saw it and absolutely none of them acted up. Hopefully that means the movie is so good that the kids are too preoccupied to be annoying. 8)

Well, I called the local theater today to find out the movie times. They have a service that can allow you to hear times for a few days in advance. Couldn't hear one for TMNT though, but there was one movie that they stupidly forgot to mention the title of! Could that be TMNT I thought? I drove down to the theater to ask someone there if they knew. The ticket guy said at first that TMNT wasn't going to be playing at that theater. But then he took out a sheet of the upcoming movies and said, wait I was wrong TMNT is going to be playing at this theater. So I ask him for the times. No preview showing. Earliest time I can see TMNT will be 12:20 on Friday, perfect! I can pick up my best friend and we have just enough time to see it before I have to go to work. I then asked the concession stand lady if they will have any souvenier TMNT cups or popcorn buckets. She said no. As I left the theater I heard the same concession stand lady start to sing the old toon theme song. Life is good!

I'm so excited, this movie date just creeped up on me. I have to wait until saturday to see it, though. :(

I made it into the comment/joke instant message section in the school newspaper today. I said something along the lines of "If you don't see the new ninja turtles movie this weekend, then your 5 year old self will kick you in the ass for it."

So uh, hopefully some old school college fans will go see it because of that,

Well I know everyone around here is getting all excited. I went to the mall yesterday wearing one of my Raph shirts...and at every store I went to I got the same thing.

"Are you excited about the new movie cuz I am!"... *lol*
I got that at Hot Topic (where I baught a new shirt) and Build a Bear store (where I baught the new turtle). The gal at the build a bear store I talked to was an OS only fan and doesn't like 2K3.. She didn't even realize I was a fan at first...I walked up to the turtle and she just started talking on and on about the TMNT then noticed my 2K3 shirt and OS pin (I have a Donatello pin I got in a Burger King Happy Meal WAAAY back in 1990).... "Are you a fan?... OH! I guess you are!" So I had a fun day yesterday talking turtle to fans my age.

Im going to the earliest showing possible tomarrow. Unfortunatly Fandango only sells tickets starting at Noon...which is fraking nuts....I know the theatre opens at 10am.

I also know there'll be lots of kids there even at the early showing since they gave the kids the day off here. Teacher Work day my arse.... they just gave em a 3 day weekend cuz of the movie. :P

Fri (3/23): (4:25) 6:40, 8:50

Should I choose 4:25 or the 6:40 showing?

Or I can go to the city where they are showing TMNT on two screens.

When do you get off of work (Are you even going to work :D)?
Do you plan on eating before or after the movie?
Do you plan on watching the movie more than once this weekend? More than once on Friday?

Those are some of the questions I asked myself when I couldn't decide on the times. If you want to relax a little or plan to eat before the movie, I suggest the 6:40 timeslot. If not, go for the 4:25.

What the heck? Why would they even say that? :|

'Cause some people are ninnies, that's why. Mention a TMNT movie, and they automatically ASSUME that it's live-action, like the first three. Just like an animated movie wouldn't, or couldn't, be as good as live-action. Which is just flat-out ridiculous. (Anybody here remember a l'il movie called "Shrek"?)

Anyway, it's the 23rd now. MOVIE day! I checked the website of my theatre earlier this evening (well, YESTERDAY evening, about 11:45, or so), and while it doesn't exactly have the TMNT poster in one of the "Now Playing" spots (it's a six theatre cinema), I DID notice that the THIRD "poster" on the page was starting to "peel off", and I'm PRETTY sure that the "poster BENEATH it was for TMNT.

I also called the theatre, but all they have is a recorded message-type phone that tells you what's currently playing, and the times that they're playing. I plan to call it again later today, to confirm that it's there. I've got a movie "date" with my niece Ashley for this (have had for over a month now!), and I have to confirm that it is DEFINITELY going to BE there tonight!

And I wish that we could've gotten tickets in advance. I've...never BEEN to the Glass Sword, so I don't know how things are set up, as far as capacity and seating is concerned. But we'll get it figured out.

Oh, and I saw a trailer for the movie earlier yesterday evening, while I was watching "Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force GO!" (whew! Mouthful! ) on Toon Disney, but I wasn't quick enough with my VCR remote to record it, dang it! After watching SWAT Kats, I stayed on TD hoping that I'd catch it again, so that I COULD record it, but even after suffering through two different incarnations of Power Rangers, Get Ed, Digimon, and several others, I STILL didn't catch it. Well, I've still got all of today, before going TO the movie. Maybe I can still get one of them.

Hmmmm, we took the van to a garage to get the ball-joints fixed yesterday, so it'll pass inspection and we can get the tags (license plates) renewed. I just hope that they're done BEFORE tonight. But I'm sure that they will be. The FIRST show isn't til 7 PM, so that's PLENTY of time to get the van fixed and everything else that we need to do. And IF it's not...... Well, we'll just come up with another way. We can WALK if we have to, and go early. No biggie. We are NOT missing this!

Hehehe, this is going to be one GREAT weekend! The TMNT movie tonight, "Membership Drive" from "The Lost Season", a new TMNT: Fast Forward ep ("Graduation Day - Class of 2105") on 4KidsTV Saturday morning, and a TMNT mini-marathon on CN Saturday afternoon! Ah, heaven! Can-NOT wait for tonight and tomorrow!!!

Less than 24 hours to go, folks! Are ya excited?!:D :D :D

And kerfoot, you are absolutely right. It's NOT the medium that matters where a movie is concerned, it's the story. (Okay, the characters help, too.) Unfortunately, SOME people can't see BEYOND the live-action vs. animated thing. Which is silly.

You should check out the TMNT site on the imdb. Some of the most horrid trolls and stuck ups you'll ever see in your entire life! themanwhowouldberaph and I usually have our hands full over there so much it's crazy.
