How did Usagi Yojimbo returned to his own time in the 1987 TMNT cartoon? I can't remember it being seen on screen.

he didn't. That whole story line with Usagi was left unfininshed for some reason and you never see him again in the series. Which is a shame because I liked old toon Usagi and wish they had carried on the storline with him and brought him home. I wonder if the writters intended to do more with him but where unable to because of permission reasons or something from the creator of Usagi and thats why they didn't bring him home in the episdoe Usagi Come Home"

He didn't. Old 'toon Usagi lived out his life with his adopted master, O'Bentou. O'Bentou is a cross-culture pun meaning "Son of Lunchbox". I thought it was funny when I figured it out. ^_^

Actually, I noticed that too! :lol: But I was thinking that the O- was being used as an honorific, making his name Obentou (お弁当), which just means "lunchbox." :D
