OFFICIAL TMNT Music Thread.

Alright the countdown is less than a month now and the excitement level has been upgraded to mass hysteria. I know most of the music remixes are out there but I think it would be great to have a thread to compile as many as possible to load up in our Ipods.

Now for songs, everything is fair game! Arcade game, NES, 80's toon, film, even comic book....http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v235/sanjurotsubaki/superlol.gif....is that even possible? Sure why not its the OFFICIAL thread! My only regret is losing all my collection in the great PC to Mac switch of 2006.

I REALLY want some of the music from the original cartoon. The background music and stuff. I imagine that there's none available only what can be recorded from the show itself and most of those will have dialogue over it. I'd die if there was some kind of a soundtrack or something with all of the music on it!

Some may find them cheezy, but I really liked those songs from the new toon from City at War Pt. 1 and April's Artifact.

Plus the instrumental from the new toon that was like the TMNT battle theme or something, it's kinda hard to describe, but it's that japanese-ish sounding one from the first season.

I like the opening theme to the original NES TMNT game. It reminds me of Queen's "Stone Cold Crazy".

Alright I'm going to save my shell. Not 100% TMNT but there is this site who made compliations of video game music with MANY TMNT songs from Arcade and NES versions that are VERY high quality and well done albums. But other than that there is alot of excellent game music anyway.

This site lists two different "albums" for Tournament fighters, but they're both labeled SNES. I think someone mentioned that the Genesis version music is actually included in there. Can someone clarify which tracks are from the SNES version and which are from the Genesis version?

I would help ya, but my Genesis is no longer accessible since my freakin cat puked on it lmao. I could check the NES and SNES versions for ya.


Ok, i looked at the track listings, the 1st one should be Genesis, since it has a Triceraton stage music. and the 2nd should be SNES since it has the Pirate Ship.


EDIT#2:: Actually...i think that 1st one has all 3 versions. so yeah, you would need to seperate them. I'll see if i can help by getting my NES and SNES setup tonight.

They are all mixed up. I haven't played these games in years but listen to alot of game music.

The NES ones are the easiest to pick off. If you've ever played a Nintendo game you know what music to listen for.

The Genesis quality is decent but it ISN'T stereo sound. Its mono.

The SNES has stereo sound. While its not dynamic you'll hear TMNT: Turtles in Time'ish sounds flutter from the right to left.

Thanks to raphaelprime, I now have all of the video game music sorted out. Today I'm attempting to digitize some stuff that's only on VHS (with moderate success so far). I still have a couple CDs to rip, but I'm getting close to done! (Well, for now; I can already tell there will have to be updates.)

Does anyone happen to have the ability to rip audio off of video games? The only 2K3 Konami game I have audio for is the first one. It'd be great if I could include Battle Nexus, Mutant Nightmare, Mutant Melee, all of the GBA games, and/or Mutant Nightmare on the DS.

You can set it to record what's coming out of your computer speakers. You can record sound off the GBA or DS by using a mini stereo dubbing cable like this one (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2469477). Connect one end to the headphone jack on the GBA/DS and the other end to the line-in port on your computer's sound card, and you should be able to hear and record the sound using any sound recording program. If your GameCube and TV are in the same room as your computer, you can do a similar setup to record GameCube sound by using a cable with RCA plugs on one end (which connect to your TV's audio out ports) and a mini stereo jack on the other (which connects to your computer's line-in port).

Still working on it.. there were issues in getting some VHS stuff digitized and I still need to redo some stuff. And then I was busy all of last weekend and will be busy all of this weekend.

I also just won a new CD on eBay that I believe will have new stuff on it (that I don't have, at least).

I don't have the setup to record video game music, so if someone wants to record that and send it to me, I'll take it (I need Battle Nexus and Mutant Nightmare for both console and handheld; the new movie games too, since that's out now).

Maybe tonight I'll post a single MP3 that I'm pretty sure the majority of you won't have heard before, just to hold you over.
