New & Improved Version!!! Being human, i'm prone to making mistakes sometimes, so if you see anything wrong (ie a writer in the artist's section or so) please tell and i'll change it as soon as poss! Also, keep them links coming, the more the merrier!) Also, they aren't in any order, and the 'elite' is for folks who have been doing TMNT stuff for years and folks that seem to be regulars in the new Tales series and whatnot. (And no arguments please about who should or should'nt be in there!!)

Or some of the original movie adaptation comics. THEY were pretty good.
And I don't honestly know, sys. But the degeneration of his style is ONE reason that I wish that Pete would get someone else to do the main TMNT comic title. Someone like, oh, say, Michael Dooney, A.C. Farley, or Chris Allen. Jim's art is okay, but I just don't like it like I used to.
OR Pete could draw some of them himself now and again. I think that the comics would profit (in more was than one!) from his touch and art. (Wishful thinking, I know, because he's so darned busy with the TMNT series, the movie, and tons of OTHER stuff). But when he and Kevin were drawing the comics themselves....ah, THOSE were the days!!!

I honestly don't get it either. Like, he can see his artwork, right? He can see how grotesquely angular and mutated his humans look, right? I love the way he draws the Turtles in the new comics, but everything else needs serious help.

A.C. Farley
He's my personal favorite TMNT artist. I know a lot of people don't like him because he draws the Turtles "too ugly", but I don't think so.
It'd be great to see him drawing regularly like he used to.

If you go down to the bottom of AC Farley's page, and check out his art section, there's a bunch of his TMNT art, with a little synopsis to go with it. This one's my favourite:
My friends Dan and Betsy Grenier agreed to model for Casey and April. Then later I had the turtles and Splinter in for a photo shoot and got plenty of reference for the painting.
Raphael was into it.

And I agree with the mutated turtle man above me, Lawson's a genius. I absolutely love his art, sure his humans are a bit off, but this is a comic book and I dig the style. I just got Paleo from PaneltoPanel, (along with the Mike Zulli signed TPB), and the art in it is lush...
And hey Diego! Great to have you on board!! dig the baby turtles...

Anyway, thanks for the links, some really nice stuff there.

you know it's called having an opinion..you know those things you have allot of also man.
Many people just happen to be very vocal about the dislike they have for his art. More so I think because of his style changed to a more thicker lined cartoon style than anything else.

Or maybe he's finally given up on the blog.
He said before that he was getting a bit tired of it because of all the fighting in the comments section. It wouldn't surprise me if he finally decided to call it quits.

It's too bad he had to turn off the comments.. :( I used to love reading everything and wishing I could comment. I certainly don't blame him in his decision. There was a LOT of negativity going on in the comment sections.. I would have done the same.

There wasn't any fighting the was just a douche bag troll baby named Armaggon who ruined things for everyone.
I can't see Murph gettin' ticked at fans for complaining about things he does his fair share of it himself.
I hope he takes this time off to spend time with his family, Murph is a great guy in fact one of the best people Mirage has behind it.

I also think this is the reason. I remember this one time when he was gone a few days and when he came back the blog was like a war zone (mostly because of Armaggon). Ugh, terrible!

Murphy takes a lot of time out of his personal life to keep us fans updated about the goings on at Mirage. The least you can do is be grateful.
If your criticism is not constructive it's probably not wanted.

I think we might know who Armaggon is now.:P
Because if that person knew Steve on the level that some of us do they wouldn't say such a thing.
Not only is he a great friend but he cares allot about turtles hell even more than half the fans, Playmates toys or Peter laird himself half the time.
He's also a great family man so that persons comment has nothing to live off of.

And that be Fernando Leon Gonzalez added to the mix. Not a regular TMNT artist, I believe he has at least one pin-up in an issue of Tales and is doing the art to the upcoming Mighty Mutanimals 'reject' comic book series coming soon from Ryan Brown. So that's good enough for me!! :D
And what the hey - I love him, you love him, and if you don't love him you must be seriously deluded, as he is one of the nicest guys around - tOkKa. He did, after all, have himself a pin-up in Tales also. And if memory serves me right, he was also featured in the fan-art page of a MIghty Mutanimals book. Go on, look him up, find out his real name!!!
Can't remember if I said or no, I don't have internet at hoem anymore, and am very infrequently online. But when I saw tOkKa in that Tales issue, I was so chuffed for him. Congratulations dude, and have a drink on me!!!

Christian Colbert (no related to Stephen) did a bang-up pin-up for an issue of Tales Vol. 2 (don't remember which issue, offhand):

Actually, I Googled their names yesterday, and found both of Denny's sites that you've posted the links to. The Arghstudios one, I didn't find, but I did check it out and neither had what I was looking for (Layouts/background of both the Y'Lintian and Pump-Station Lairs AND the boys' bedrooms from the 2K3 TMNT series). I DID snag the BGs on Denny's page on my flash drive, though. They'll come in handy if I have to draew any of them later on.
STILL lookin' for pics/layouts/backgrounds of the Lairs and the bous' bedrooms, though..............

Yeah, I know, and I've been looking through it. The stuff that I need on the guys' bedrooms in the Y'Lintian Lair (layouts/backgrounds, NO screencaps) are there, as far as I can tell, though, so I though that I'd check the sites of some of those who'd done art for the series in the past, and see what I can find. I want things to be as PERFECT as possible when I start drawing them and the Lair(s) in my fancomic.

Only 5 days to go and pretty close but not quite funded. I want to see this happen, so please - support it. It's worth it!
Also, here's an interview: http://www.adventuresinpoortaste.com/2017/05/08/kickstarter-alert-tmnt-legend-jim-lawson-talks-the-box-city-wallops/
I forgot all about this honestly....it didn't reach the mark judging by the link posted. Did it get published though?

No, sadly Jim Lawsons Big City Wallops never made it to fully funded. Too bad, because #1 & 2 vere really great.
He is, however, still hoping to have it collected and printed someday:
