View Full Version : R-rated Script

Did you guys ever read that? I don't think it's around anymore but it was on this adult-rated TMNT site (probably in association with Ring of Green)...I remember one of the captions on the home page saying "%&#* with the Green, and It's Gonna Get Mean." After I read it, I checked around a lot to see about it but apparently it turned out to be a fan script, although it really looked like it could be a real deal.
That script was practically like the basis for the fourth film which shows how the five of them are growing apart (Mikey's very sulky now), Casey's dead or moved or whatever, April's cut herself off from them, the language is very adult-content, and what brings the TMNT together is Splinter's murder by the new corporation that took over the Foot (there was no Karai apparently.) After sticking around at April's farm like they did in the first film, the TMNT avenge Splinter by attacking the corporation and the end result is a bunch of blood and guns and guts everywhere, what a mess! I was pretty unseated by it. The end is where they head off after gathering around Splinter's grave the next day.
Anyone ever come across it?
P.S. Anyone ever read that the upcoming TMNT movie was originally going to be directed by John Woo? I sure remember reading an interview with him about that somewhere.

Well I'm glad it wasn't, John Woo likes to say he's making like 500 films and then he does maybe 2 of the movies he says he's going to. Very annoying.

There is a "hardcore" element to the TMNT but that sounds like it was written when Volume 3 of the comics and Bodycount was in circulation. As much as I love Bodycount and would love to see it as a movie, I believe a script like that goes past the more adult-element that you'd see in today's TMNT comics.

I'd really to read it to. Because could see a PG-13 Turtles movie easily, but R is a bit of a stretch. So, please?:)

It's not hard to visualize a rated R TMNT. Just replace all the "shells" with the F word, and there you go! And I bet Raph would bellow out the most colorful and profane words!:D

In the script he did. He puts an exploding cigar or something in someone's mouth and says something like, "Take this and smoke it f$#&*er!" That's as close as I can remember it, you'd have to check the script.

Are we talking TMNT script or movie 1 script? Hit me up with a PM either way. I have 2 drafts of TMNT 2 here at home. The ending to that movie would have been so much better than the ending we had... they actually battled Super Shredder... There were quite a few changes made. Anyway... hit me up.

Ugh, I remember that script. It wasn't the gore or R-ratedness and violence that bothered me, it was ... well, it was a few things.
1) Lack of focus on the Turtles, and a lot of focus on a bunch of people we had never heard of and didn't care about.
2) The script used so many quotes from other places (and it had f**king Jay and Silent Bob in it) ... it just wasn't very original and failed to move me.
3) Mikey getting fat and being idiotic and lacking fighting skills (as if he didn't train for his whole youth) and watching porn and listening to some really offensive rap and singing along ... I think the rap song got updated, but the original used to have something about bitches and the n-word in it ... okay, okay, maybe a sexually repressed Ninja Turtle would want to watch porn, but altogether, Mikey seemed really sleazy.
The plot, however, was all right. I mean, every fanfic in the world (including ones I have written) have Splinter dying and the Turtles trying to recover and come together again. So it wasn't very original. But I do give the guy points for writing a whole movie about it.
Eh ... I dunno. I am not a very critical person. I like most movies I've seen and most people I meet. But that script made me feel like I should take a shower, or something. I dare say it sucked.

That site is very much not shut down, although it hasn't been updated in over a year: The TMNT Empire (http://www.actiontattoos.com/tmnt/ntempire.html)

Bah! A few of you got me all wrong. While the versions of the Secret of the Ooze script I have both have them fighting Super Shredder, it still has the same lack-luster ending - Shredder collapses the pier, killing him. Visualizing the fight scene, however, makes me want to reshoot the movie altogether just for that. I believe it might have given the fight in TMNT 1 a run for its money.
Also - I do not have the script available for download or to be sent. I would have to hand scan every page onto my laptop because this is the only computer I have in my apartment. Sorry guys! I got one of the scripts from Scriptcity.com - There are other sites out there too with the second draft. I am not sure, however, which one I got from script city.

1) Can you at least give us a decent description of the fight?
2) I looked at Script City. Anyone got any info on "TMNT 3: The Sacred Scroll of Death"?

Nope, I never had an R rated script on my site, and never would. I never did care for that 'adult' site either, which if memory serves had one of the turtles giving the middle finger in a main site picture.
Was this an 'official' script, or a fan production? If memory serves, it was the latter, especially after reading the above post as to what was actually in that thing...
disgraceful
-edit and we didn't get shut down, just changed names www.shreddersdojo.com. Probably due for a complete site re-design with 3D graphics.

I read through it at work a few weeks ago... it's an early draft of TMNT 3.... not drastically different... not quite as childish, but it hardly resembles anything of "quality". Don't waste your time.
I'm pretty sure the "R" script in question is a fan-script. Rumor has it that Steve Baron wanted to make a slightly hardcore TMNT film, but Peter Gray wanted something marketable to kids from day one. The script changed quite a bit throughout development...mostly in story structure from the Bobby Herbeck drafts. I'm DYING to get my hands on the original treatment.
...and word on the street is that a script adapting the cartoon was written before Baron came on board.

Now that last one I'd like to see :)

Have an R rated version for what? I think doing this would just destroy the sacredness of the TMNT its like its like the characters in the wizard of oz being featured in larry flints dirty magazine GROSSS
