Does Watching TMNT Make You Want a Pizza?

Since I bought the Complete Season Four set of the classic TMNT cartoon, I've been having a real hankering for pizza. Anyone else have weird cravings for pizza post-watching TMNT, especially the OT?

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to Lil' Caesar's for a "Hot and Ready" PIZZA!!!

sometimes, not always. It's gotta be Red Brick though...that's about as close as we can get around here to NY Pizza.
It's good enough and done in one of them fancy ovens under FIRE not some typical pizza oven..well, those are good too.

How funny, I suddenly wanted pizza while looking at the new pics of the movie. I have a strong feeling I'm going to want pizza while watching this movie. Wondering if the theater I'm going to will sell it. Never sampled their food before...

It certainly used to. I don't know how they managed to pull it off, but the old show made some of the odd combinations of toppings they used actually look appetizing. To this day whenever we order Pizza I always jokingly claim to want Pepperoni and Ice Cream or some other strange combo on mine.

The pizza that Danny had in the lair with penecillin growing on it actually looks pretty good to me every time I watch it. There are only like 2 slices missing. I always hated when my rents would order pizza and it wouldn't all get eaten. I hate to see pizza go to waste. :)

TMNT and pizza go great together. When a movie or series comes out that's completely faithful to the comics beer will probably go good with TMNT as well.

Haha, I had a TMNT ultra-marathon of every DVD/VHS I own in the days before the movie was released (actually, I'm still not finished) and I had a pizza sent to me straight from New York City for the occasion. ( www.flyingpizzas.com Check it out!! It's so good. ) I even had rediculous toppings straight from the show including, but not limited to: pepperoni and marshmallow, whipped cream, pepperoni and hot fudge, chocolate chip, sprinkles, etc.

I was going to try the sashimi pizza from the first episode, but I don't think I'm at that level of puke-resistance yet. ;)

I agree, the Danny's pizza looked pretty good to me. Too bad I'm allergic to penicillin. That NY pizza thing is awesome. There's nothing quite like a slice from a tiny shop in the big city.

Yes and no, because I usually crave Pizza anyway. However, TMNT does make me feel like putting bizzare stuff on it. I once put chocolate pieces on a slice, and it's not as bad as you might think. Tasted pretty damn good, actually. Sort of like a mole-sauce (sp? It's a kind of savory sauce made out of chocolate).

Once I put those easter malted Milk Balls on a slice... terrible.

Yeah. I eat a lot of pizza anyway but if I know I'm going to be watching Turtles in any form after I get off work, I make sure to pick up some on the way home.

Little Ceaser's here has $5.99 large pizzas. Can't top that for the price.

Y'know, it's kinda funny... I actually used to hate pizza when I was little. I think it was mostly because I didn't like meat yet, and I hated veggies. I was a really picky eater. For some reason I didn't even like eating cheese pizza very often. But once I became completely obsessed with ninja turtles (around 4 or 5) I kinda forced myself to like pizza.

Of course, I love pizza now, and I can thank ninja turtles for that. :D I don't usually get a craving for pizza while watching turtles, but I eat it often enough already that that's probably a good thing.

Sometimes I do. I know my mom does. We were watching the first TMNT movie together, and she said that it made her want a pizza.

I don't put anything weird on my pizza. I just have mushrooms and olives. But my mom likes mushrooms and pineapples on her's.

After I went to Larry's Pizza and the TMNT movie, I stopped by my store to pick up some snacks cause I had the munchies. I told the MOD (Manager on Duty) I'd just gone to Larry's Pizza, home of wacky toppings and he told me he likes Shrimp and Pineapple pizza...sounds weird he said, but everyone who's tried it loved it. I just may sometime...maybe.

Last night, I went to see the Turtles again.

We went to the big theater in town (The one that cost $10.50 to get in!) and they had 2 dollars off of the personal pizzas you can get at the consession stand if you bought a ticket to see TMNT. The box also had your choice of Raph, Leo, Don or Mikey, but when I went, the Mikey ones were gone!

They also had cool-aide type drinks in the blue, red, orange or purple as well. I asked the lady why they didn't do this last week, she said it was because they didn't expect the Turtles to be so popular still. I don't know the box office results right now, but the Turtles and Meet the Robinsons had three theaters going now (last week the Turtles only had two) Blades of Glory only had one screen going.

I still don't even know what Blades of Glory is. I don't think it will be competition for TMNT. I'm looking at this weekend's lineup of movies at my local theater, and Blades of Glory isn't even on the list!

I went to a California Pizza Kitchen once and they had some odd choices. My sister got this rosemary Chicken and potato topped one and complained it tasted like a Christmas tree (!)

Where is Little Ceasars? I used to love their pizza, but now they've been out of the MA area for YEARS!

If I'm watching Ninja Turtles during dinnertime (I normally watch it on youtube), I'll have pizza, and eat it at my computer while watching the show. It gives me a better feeling while getting into the show more.
