This guy rules, he's written on almost all of the greatest cartoons every to grace the air. I noticed his name tagged onto a few batman episodes and recognized it from TMNT so I looked him up and this is what I found.

Not doing much now of days but boy does he have a past.

I bet that "Mystery of the Batwoman" credit really doesn't help his popularity :P Anyways, see a lot of good credits on there...wonder how many are true (I don't trust IMDB:sweatdro: )

Well I know the TMNT and Batman ones are for sure cause I've seen the episodes. He always wrote for the cool characters. And did villain team ups.

Mystery Of Bat-women is that bad eh? I was gona get it to complete my Batman TAS set, even though I disliked Gotham Knights alot, it may have been "more fun" as the creators say but it wasn't good.

The problem with Myster of the Batwoman isn't entirely the writing's fault. The direction was bad. They replaced all the familiar music with a terrible jazz score, included an awful pop star "music video" segment at the Iceburg lounge and couldn't get the voice actors for the Penguin or Rupert Thorn to reprise their roles. The story would've worked better as a half hour episode but as a full-length movie it's quite a let-down.


Anyway...

Micheal Reaves does indeed kick ass. He also wrote many of the best episodes of the Real Ghostbusters, just as many as J. Michael Straczynski, I'd say.

He's my favorite cartoon writer, for sure, up there with Paul Dini, JMS and Greg Weisman.

Ninjutsu, he trained to master it, and I say he did a good job. He kicked his rivals ass in the cartoon and in the movie he kicked his teachers ass.

I guess I'll pass on Bat-women then. I saw Bane was in it. I liked Bane alot but he only had one episode in TAS and he was in one Gotham Knights episode*One of the good ones actually* in a dream. Then he was in Beyond as an old guy in a wheel chair.

Mr.Freeze was another villain I loved, his movie was eh but his show appearances were great.

Bane was also in the Superman TAS episode "Knight Game", and for what it's worth, he was one of the only good things about "Mystery of the Batwoman".

I liked "SubZero" but mostly for TMS' gorgeous animation and not so much the cut and dry story. The only two REALLY good Batman TAS/Beyond movies are Mask of the Phantasm and Return of the Joker.

He's good but Paul Dini can give him a run for his money, probably Marty Isenberg can join the fray as well. Michael also did some writing for Gargoyles as well and I won't forget that most of all!
