it would be cool to have a little place in the corner where you can pick a TMNT midi to listen to while you're visiting here.

Good idea, but I only know of one TMNT MIDI out there... If you know of more, let me know and we'll consider adding that feature.

Have you got any music to use yet?
Krang

Yes, RaphRockz sent me some MIDIs a while back. But I don't think it would be a good idea to embed them into the main page, because it would slow down the page too much. If we do decide to use the MIDIs as background music, I would probably make a link that you could click that would open a popup window with the MIDI embedded in it.

some sites have a little menu at the bottom that lets you pick a tune, it loads the selected tune and plays it as you browse the site!

Good idea, I'll see if I can do something like that using frames. I'll probably put it on a test page first and let everyone try it out before I make it selectable on the main page.

Ok, I put up the test page for the music frame. Go here (http://test.technodrome.com/music/) to test it out. Click the "Open Music Frame" link to open the frame, and choose the MIDI you want to listen to on the dropdown list box. For the test, I only have two copies of the TMNT theme song available, but when it's finished, I'll add the MIDIs that RaphRockz sent me. Also, the "X" in the upper right corner closes the frame. Let me know what you think!

I liked the music and the idea of choosing your fav melody or no melody at all. There are many sites which just load the MIDI file without asking for permission  I always give a start when my speakers suddenly produce a loud noise.
BTW, what's the size of these files? :???: As they load for about three seconds at the speed of 50 Kbytes per second I would say they are 150 Kbytes or more! Correct me if I'm wrong.

Midi files are usually very small. They're never over 1 megabyte. But I agree, it's a nice addition to the site.

Correct me if I'm wrong. They range from 2.6 KB (TMNT 3 Intro) to 68.8 KB (TMNT 4 Highway), but most of them are around 15 KB. The reason they take longer to load is that the browser has to load the MIDI plugin first before playing the MIDI.
