We went to see all the action at the Mann's Chinese, it was CROWDED.
Stupid war protestors and their crap were right in the middle of the street, right in front!! The poor tv show people were trying to do interviews and the dopes on the stage with thier crap were playing this loud horrible noise! ugh...idiots.
but hey I met someone:

I simply just wanted to shake his hand and tell him thank you :D Very nice fella. Thanks Kevin!!
Saw Stan Sakai as well, Kevin Eastman, son and wife were there. I missed Nolan North dang it. He was there. We saw what we could, it was cool. We did not spot Patrick Stewart but that dont mean he was or was not there.
They had goodie bags for those who attended, with figs, TMNT games for Wii or Playstation, McDs toys (which i got my friend's extra :D).

Kevin Eastman was there (almost typed "Kevin was there" but there are a few attached to the TMNT...:P) Sweet. Lucky you, my fellow Raphie fan.

Yay! Glad the trip wasn't a waste for you guys even though you didn't get to see the movie! ( :( )
I went with Dawnatello early in the morning and we were able to get into the theater. It was the most AMAZING day!!!
We ended up seeing Kevin Eastman with Julie and Shane (both before and after the movie), Mitchell Whitfield (Don), Mikey Kelley (Mikey - and OMG, this guy IS Mikey), Nolan North, and Kevin Munroe. We got swag, pizza, and popcorn and drink in TMNT containers.
And the movie kicks ass.
BEST. DAY. EVER.
Pictures are here (http://www.flickr.com/photos/roseangelo/sets/72157600005752884/), although I'll probably be updating the captions for each, as I just wrote stuff really quickly for right now.

Well, Peter doesn't step onto airplanes, so I expected that. Stan Sakai wrote in his blog just that none of the Mirage crew was able to make it; I don't know any details on why.

I *think* this is her-- and considering how much she was interviewed, I'm sure it was. If only I could have gotten a better pic-- especially of her and the guy she was with, because he was HAWT as well as familiar-looking...

I meant-- that she was at the premiere. It HAD to be her, but being so darn short, coupled with the difficulty of taking pictures (due to the stupid stage that was set up for the war protest-- and the CONSTANT sound check of the SAME DAMN SONG OVER AND OVER AND OVER) and a few other distractions...
But I'm sure that was her. And that was the best pic I could get.

Oh, one of the comments Kevin M. said to me during the brief chat I had with him was basically an appology for not posting here more often. I told him not to worry about it and that we appreciated his participation period. :)

I am very confident in saying that NONE of the name actors were there. Not only did they not recieve applause after the movie (the name actors are listed in the credits first, then the Turtles and the rest of the cast; when they finally got to the Turtles there was TONS of applause).
Additionally, the security guards were given sheets with headshots of all the "big" people to be looking for. The Turtle voices were on this in addition to Kevin M. and other executive and producer-type people. No name actors.

the credits singled out the turtles you mean? kind of like the end credits for the previous films?

The credits actually single out the name actors. They list each of them first and there's a ton of space inbetween each one so that there's basically only one name on the screen at a time. Then they list the rest of the cast regularly, with the Turtle names at the top of that list.

oh, would have been nice if the boys got top billing in their own flick lol. great to hear though that they got love when their names appeared.

I agree that the Turtles should have had top billing. Firstly because it's their movie, and they also definitely have more lines than any of the secondary characters.
I would hope that they would get love, though, considering all four of them were in the audience with their families and collegues. 8) In the opening credits the most love was given for the Imagi logo. At the end it was for Kevin M. and the Turtles (and the movie in general, of course).
I can explain this. I am a screenwriter and future filmmaker. If the Turtles V.A. didn't get credit first it's due to something called "above the line," and "below the line." What it is basically is an ego trip on actors behalf. Sometimes actors sign on and demad above the line credit and not below. Why? So they are seen first which I guess gets them more buzz and more work. Anyone below the line is when the credits roll in full, not just single names and producers and directors.
So anytime single names show up first before the rest of the credits that's above the line, the rest is under that long pause (or imaginary line,) called below the line.

Okay, I went back to YouTube, and if that was indeed Francis Kao I saw with that woman, then he has LOST the pudgy face and toned up something fierce! He looked like an action-movie star!
And as for that name thing-- I think it's just another example of these whomevers who worry about securing "names" to sell a film-- and then they can't even get the "names" to show up to support it.
It's not the names that are gonna bring in the bulk of the money. It is the guys.
