Maybe Kebvin Munroe tied him to a chair and punched him in the gut until he made a satisfactory sound. I hear Andrea Romano once actually shot Kevin Conroy to produce just the right harmonics of pain for an episode of BTAS.
It was never used.

I don't know. I'd place a wager on just three sodas if you ask me.
What interests me more is the place of this burp in the movie. The actual context of this situation. I mean... why did he do that in Splinter's presence? Wouldn't it be a bit disrespectful? Maybe that's what it was meant to be. Openly showing a lack of respect to his fatherly figure. Proving that Splinter has failed as an authority and has become a weak parent when not morally backed by his most faithful son and student - Leonardo. It clearly shows how the family was shattered during Leo's absence.
I don't know, I just find it hard to accept.
Let me clear this up for everyone. Sensible posts don't belong in this thread. SpawnGuy strongly hinted at it. In case you didn't catch it, that's what I'm here for. ^_^ Ponder underlying meanings of scenes in a serious thread, okay?

Do you think it really was Mikey Kelley or a stunt burper like LaMarsh did for Wakko?
Speaking of good voiceover burp stories. There's a good one that has circulated at the Transformer conventions about Gary Chalk (Optimus Prime). He wasn't doing it for an episode of Transformers, but one of the other actors who he had been in Beast Wars with, Ian Corlett (Cheetor) I think, was at the mic with Gary recording for another cartoon and Gary said he could burp on cue. Gary's a big guy if you don't know what he looks like (he aslo plays Colonel Checkov on Stargate). Anyway, Gary chugs this root beer and then burps, spewing the contents of his root beer all over the microphone (and his fellow voice actor too if memory seves correctly).

I wanted to ask a stupid question, or rather, people's opinion, and this is the only thread I could find that fit that need without making a new one.
Ok. We see half of the TMNT engaging in ways to bring income into the house hold. And the jobs they chose fit them quite well. Mikey and his parties (I used to do this when I was going through school, it's fun and good money!) and Donny with his tech support (while I don't do computers, I inspect and troubleshoot aviation navigational instruments, so here's somthing else I have in common with a member in the TMNT community)
But if Leo and Raph had to do side jobs, what do you think they would persue?
Also, i are there atributes in the Turtles you find to be similar to your own?
Cascadia
04-20-2007, 09:49 PM
those would be tough because they would have to find jobs that keep them hidden.
bullet
04-20-2007, 09:54 PM
leo? guidance counselor? suicide hotline? honestly, no clue. they have to keep their identities hidden, so most likely the most ideal job or wutever for them won't be within their grasp...unless some costume is involved, or they never have to show their faces.
i honestly can't see raph holding a job with his temper, haha. maybe bodyguard, or something.
most jobs i've taken dealt with lil kids so i'll go with mike being the most like me. odd thing is, i'm very bad at handling kids. they have fun but i rarely do...i can never get them to listen and i have no control over them whatsoever...it's always chaos and destruction. oh and i'm a complete idiot at computers, save photoshop and a few other programs :P

Hmmm. The suicide councelor thing might be a good one for Leo.
Raph, well, he would need Casey's help, but in the novel Raph seemed to hint on fixing up that bike, maybe he could work on custom making bikes or cars while Casey took care of the social side of the business.

^ I don't think Casey would be able to do it. He's not very stealthy. I'm thinking of the 2k3 ep when Casey interupts the turtles training lesson when they are all balancing on wooden shoots in the dark and Case knocks em all over. He seems loud and too eager to get physical. I'm sounding hypocritical now... like Raph isn't loud and eager either. Idk.
The turtles are trained in ninjitsu so that would be to their advantage in investigating. And it's not like they have much of a choice, they simply cannot let themselves be seen.

Or Casey could become a cop! Don't have to be stealthy for that line of work.
What does he do for a living in the comics and 2k3 toon? In this movie, I know he was APril's assistant, so that explains his income there. But the other incarnations I never saw brushed up on.

I had an image of Casey unemployed on benefits. That's just speculation on my part not evidenced by anything. The first film said he was a professional hockey player until he was injured less than a year ago. (or maybe he's not on benefits, but had a really good income protection plan with own occupation cover... oh my God I must not bring my work to The Technodrome!!)

The forum is too cluttered as it is with pointless threads. Much better to be adding to an already existing thread.
