ATFT: The Return

*Azure, not really understanding what was going on, decided to look for fun elsewhere. He continued tugging SC around until they reached the entrance to the lab. He pointed at the door and looked up at SC*

*SC looked at the door. The last thing she needed was him getting out.* No Azure, there are no toys there.

*She looked around wildly for something to distract him with. Her gaze settled on her purse. She pulled out of his grasp to grab it and started rifling through it. He didn't have any hair, so the brush wouldn't interest him. He wasn't a girl so the make up wouldn't do it. Didn't she at least have some gum in there? She started to growl in frustration when she came across something that just might do the trick.* Hey Azure, I've got a surprise for you, close your eyes!

*The turtle happily complied and SC pulled out one of the items and quickly opened the package. She stuffed the wrapper back in her purse and then exhaled into the piece of latex that it had contained. Once it was inflated she tied it off and tossed it to him.* Look Azure, balloons!

*Azure chased after the balloon until he caught it in his hands. Wondering how the balloon was able to float through the air, he began to nibble on it. The balloon exploded without warning*

*The sound of wailing began to flow freely through the lab once more...*

*Fortunately SC had already predicted the need for more "balloons", and had inflated two more by the time Azure popped the first. She ran over to him with them in hand.*

Shhhhhh...Azure, its okay. I've got another balloon for you here. You just have to be careful with them. If you poke them with a sharp object they'll pop.

*She handed him another "balloon" as Shredder walked into the room*

Shredder: What was that noise?! *His eyes went wide as he looked at what Azure and SC had in their hands. SC held a finger up to her pursed lips and glared at him.*

Azure was bored, so I found him some BALLOONS to play with.

*Shredder snorted slightly.* Ri-ght. I'm just going to go see if Baxter is done yet. *He turned and walked away snickering.*

*SC stuck her tongue out at his retreating form then turned back to Azure.* Okay, now check this out. *She showed him a felt tipped marker.* If you hold the balloon gently on your lap, you can draw on it. *She quickly sketched a dragon on the balloon and held it up for him to see.* See? Now why don't you do one? *She smiled wickedly.* I know, why don't you draw "Daddy"?

[Kali]

((Oh dear heavens... :dead: :lol: ))

*Leo pressed the button on the dash that opened the dead-end gate (man, I love that idea) and didn't wait for it to open completely before driving through.*

*Don gave him a sour look.* Watch it, those were expensive to rig up.

*Leo gripped the steering.* Sorry, I'm just worried. I want to get there as soon as possible.

Don: I know, Leo. Don't worry, we'll get there in time, we always do. *he checked the map* We can go straight through the city, or take the dirt roads.

Leo: What's the difference?

Don: It's nearly a straight line through the city, but there's a lot of lights and a speed limit. the dirt roads circle around the city, but there're no stops and virtually no speed limit.

Leo: Dirt roads it is. *he took the next left*

[Gyle]

*Chirps from SC's shoulder, watching Azure play with the 'balloons', and grins as he mumbles softly, and the balloons Azure plays with begin randomly changing colors. He gets a good look at the balloons* never seen balloons like those before..Whats with the little nub there on top?

They're made that way so...*SC stopped herself.*...Ummm, I dunno. Maybe they're defective or I didn't inflate them enough. I wouldn't worry about it. *She mumbled to herself.* I think I need the rest of my beer...

[Gyle]

*Takes on of the balloons, and delfates it carefully, as not to pop it, and unties it and begins messing with it* Weird..The outer part of the balloon seems ot be..*blinks* Lubricated..Why's that? *Stuffs his muzzle into the balloon*

[Skeletoncrew]

*SC slapped her hand to her forehead and closed her eyes.* ~WHAT have I done to deserve this?~I'll explain it to you later Gyle. *She looked at the dragon sticking his head in the deflated "balloon" and giggled.* You're gonna get stuck if you're not careful!

[Gyle]

*Pokes his head out* Well..Ok then..Later for sure! *Poke shis head back into the balloon, tugging it on, giggling as he slides int the balloon* I did this at my neices Birthday party..I got into a large balloon and began bouncing around. It was fun!

(( BWAHAHAHAHA!! :lol: Oh man, that's too funny...! ))

*Azure continued to happily chase the balloons around the room, completely oblivious to his surroundings. He still carried the marker SC gave him, and was trying to catch a balloon so he could draw his portrait of "Daddy"*

*SC watched with one eyebrow raised as Gyle pushed himself into the "balloon". She wondered how much it could take before it popped. She could honestly say she'd never tried to stuff a dragon into one of them before. Damn. Where was her camera when she needed it?*

*Shredder took a moment to control the laughter that was threatening to errupt before approaching Baxter.* WELL?! Is it ready yet?

*Baxter jumped slightly.* Ye-yes Master, its nearly re-set.

[Gyle]

*Keeps sliding into the 'balloon', and then mutters again, the opening seals shut tightly, and the balloon begins to inflate. After it infalted enough, Gyle giggles and begins bouncing around* Wheeee!!! :D

*He stops bouncing, the balloon hovering in the air as he watches* I still think thats a waste of time. Machines always end up exploding. Especially ones made by gnomes! Great ideas, but not much thinking.

[Skeletoncrew]

*SC watches Gyle with amusement, wondering vaguely whether she had injested a hallucinogenic substance at lunch.*

[Gyle]

*Keeps hovering in the air, his small magics keeping him, inside the 'balloon', hovering, watching the mad..no..just crazy, scientist, and the weird guy in the weird armor, work on the stuupid machine*

[Skeletoncrew]

*SC stood up and watched Azure run by. She figured if this was a hallucination she might as well find out what the dragon would think of the "balloon" once he knew what it was.* Okay Gyle, you want to know why the balloon is shaped funny and has a coating on the outside?

*The dragon floated over and SC leaned close and whispered to him. When she was finished she leaned back.* But please don't tell Azure, he's got the mind of a child, and its not something kids really need to know about or would understand.

[Gyle]

*Tilts his head as SC whispers what the 'balloon' he is bouncing then. He then blinks..And then blinks again..Then suddenly EEEEPS! :o and begins tearing himself out of the no longer balloon* AHHH!!!! :o :o

*Giggles and scowls* Jeez Gyle! Its fresh from the package, chill out!

[Gyle]

*Pant after he tears himself out from the balloon* i don't care if it is fresh or not! Thats disgusting!

[Kali]

*Leo continued on the road, almost automatically turning upon Donatello's instructions. He was trying to calm himself down. Breath in, hold... Breath out, hold...*

Don: Leo, stop!

*Leo slammed on the brake, causing everyone in the van to slide forward. They all glared daggers at Leo, who glared at Don.*

*Don looked sheepish* Sorry. But this is the place. Actually, it's a few minutes up the road, but we better continue on foot, better chance of sneaking in undetected.

*Leo nodded* Okay. We're continuing on foot. Everyone keep your gaurd up, this is bound to be a trap. *he started getting out of the van*

*Raph parked his bike next to the van. He took off his helmet and looked around.* This is it? Man, Shredder's really gone downhill since we saw him last.

[Machias Banshee]

*unbuckles, jumping out of the van, Mike close behind*

God, I hope we find Azure soon, who knows what sort of trouble he may be going through!?

[Skeletoncrew]

*SC laughed and shrugged.* Well, its better than the alternative.

*Shredder called for her.*Bella?

Yes? *She walked over to the Mindbender.*

Shredder: The device is ready. Where's the turtle?

*SC looked around until she found Azure sitting on the floor happily drawing on a "balloon".* He's over here!

[Kameko]

(((I'm baaaaaack! Mwahahaha! Sorry I was gone so long. Got stranded by a couple of inches of ice. And down here, where most people would be hard-pressed to identify tire chains let alone know how to use them, that is a LOT of ice. Most of the schools were closed for two days, some for three. :dead: And I had no way to get online.)))


*glares at Leo at the abrupt stop, but is quickly distracted by Donny's announcement that they're there. Or almost there. Close enough. Jumps out of the back of the van, impatiently waiting for the others*

((Well, I'm kinda stuck until Azure posts. Hopefully his finals will be done soon!))

*Leo looked back at their rescue party. He did some quick calculating in his head, then gave his orders* Kameko, Raphael, and I will go in first. Frontal assult. I want the rest of you to split up and try and find side ways in. Hopefully they'll be so distracted by us they won't notice you. Everyone have their communicators? *everyone nodded* Good.

*Kali whispered to Leo* You sure it's a good idea to take those two on a frontal assault?

Leo: They're just itching for a fight. They wouldn't last two seconds trying to sneak in, might as well order them to cause a ruckus. I'm just going to make sure they don't get themselves killed.

*Kali smiled* I see why you're the leader. *she stood up and looked around*

((BTW, where exactly are Shredder, SC, Azure, and co.? Is this lab above ground, below, disguised as a condemned building?))

((I'd say its an above-ground lab in an "abandoned" building. I'm not sure what Azure wants to do, but I think we may want to get him back in the mindbender and zap him before you rescue him.))

*A pager-like device buzzed briefly on Shredder's belt. He glanced down at it.*

Shredder: The outermost sensors have been tripped. Our "guests" are here. It should take them five to ten minutes to get in here depending on whether they trip the traps, or find them and avoid them. Bella, are you ready?

*SC walked off to pick up her purse and the rest of her beer. She returned with the purse over her shoulder and the beer in hand. She raised the glass.* Ready as I'll ever be!

[Machias Banshee]

*follows closely behind mike, keeping an eye and ear out for signs of trouble*

(( Very, very sorry for my absence lately. The evil dust bunnies had me chained to my desk, forcing me to do school work. Oh, the terror... Fortunately, I managed to escape. :anime: ))

*Azure looked around, utterly confused about what was going on. He got up, walked over to Shredder, and tugged on his cape*

Daddy!!

*The blue turtle pointed to a very badly drawn face on the end of the "balloon"*

Shredder: What the devil?! Is that a... uh... How dare you draw my likeness on that... thing! And it's a terrible likeness!

*Azure's eyes begin to water again*

Baxter: Oh no!! Quick, strap him onto the Mind Bender before he begins that horrible wailing again!

(( Aye, I dunno if I want to stay in this state, or get zapped again. Hmm... I leave my fate in your hands, SC. Hope you don't have butter-fingers. ;) ))

[Skeletoncrew]

*SC set down her beer and approached Azure, slapping the back of Shredder's helmet as she walked by. When he glared at her she mouthed the words "Be ready.".*

There, there, Azure. Let me see your balloon. *She examined it with an interested look on her face.* Wow! That's great! You did a really good job! Come on, I've got a surprise for you.

*She took Azure by the hand and led him over to the Mindbender.*

This is a very special ice cream machine. Since you've been such a good boy, I'm going to let you sit down in the special chair, and have some ice cream.

*She patted the chair and he jumped into it trustingly. Shredder quickly moved forward to secure him. Seeing Azure's expression starting to darken, she spoke soothingly to him.*

You're such a good boy Azure! Now all you have to do is hold still and think of your favorite ice cream...

*Shredder interrupted*: He's ready. NOW Baxter!

*Baxter threw the switch.*

((Mwua ha ha ha ha! BTW, I'm in the middle of moving now, so I probably won't be able to check this again until late tomorrow or Weds. Sorry. :P ))

(( Aye!! My brain's fried! :dead: ))

*Azure screamed in pain until the Mind Bender finally died down*

Ouch... my head hurts...

Shredder: Well? Did it work?

*Baxter rushed over to the Mind Bender to study the data pouring out of the machine*

Baxter: According to the data recorded, yes, it should have worked this time.

Shredder: Hmm... Let us test his skills, then.

*Shredder picked up a nearby beaker and hurled it at the groggy Azure. Without even blinking, Azure caught beaker in his hand*

What the hell? How'd that happen?

*The blue turtle stares at the beaker with a confused expression*

Shredder: Aha!! So he has vastly improved. Excellent. He will make a perfect assasin.

*Shredder walked over to the dazed Azure and locked eyes with him*

Shredder: You're going to help me get rid of a few green thorns in my side...

*Azure frowned*

I don't know what you guys did to me, but I'm not helping you!

*Suddenly, Azure's frown narrowed into an evil smirk*

I'm not helping you until you make me an offer.

Shredder: WHAT?!

*Azure hopped down from the Mind Bender, twirling the beaker between his fingers without skipping a beat*

You want me to take out a few people? Then you've got to pay me. All great assasins get paid, and I won't agree to help you until you show me what I'm working for.

Shredder: Baxter, you IDIOT!!!

[Skeletoncrew]

*As Shredder and Baxter argued animatedly over the results of the Mindbender, SC sauntered over to Azure and gave him a slight smile.*

Please allow me to apologize for their infantile behaviour. Saki has a slight anger control problem, and Baxter, well, he can't seem to do anything totally right.

*SC played with her long red hair and batted her eyelashes occassionally as she spoke.*

Now then, I'm not the one in charge of this little operation, nor to I care to be; but I do feel that you are fully entitled to fair compensation for the work you do and I will ensure that you get it.

*SC turned towards the arguing villains and raised her voice.*

Saki!

*Shredder loosened his grip on Baxter's lab coat*: What?! Can't you see that Baxter and I are having an important discussion here?!

*SC rolled her eyes and sighed.*

Have you forgotten that we're going to have enemies here in just a few minutes?

*Shredder's eyes went wide.*

Shredder: Uh...no. No, I haven't forgotten, in fact I was just about...

*SC held up her hand to stop him.*

Come over here and tell Azure what you'd like him to do. Since we're pressed for time, I'm sure he'll understand if we postpone the discussion of his full fee until a later time.

*He grumbled and approached them.*

Shredder: I want that wretched Splinter and his four freakish students dead. But I want them to suffer, I'd also like to get to watch. Or at least have their heads on a platter. Or maybe...

*SC shushed him and faced Azure.*

Basically, his enemies will be here any minute to rescue YOU. All you need to do is go along with the rescue. We'll put up a brief fight, then esape leaving you in their hands. You will infiltrate their home. Study their movements. Contact Shredder with the information, then you boys figure out how you're going to do this thing. I believe Shredder has a nice little communicator for you.

*Shredder handed a small device to him and SC continued.*

As for your fee, perhaps you'll accept this as a show of good faith? *SC held up a one ounce gold coin in front of Azure.*

[Gyle]

*After escaping from the disgusting 'balloon', the fairie dragon perches up on on a pipe so he can watch everything, snickering idly as he listens and plans another joke. When he hears of the guests coming, he comes down and lands on SC's shoulder*Ooh? Guests? Good kind or bad? Party crashers perhaps?

[Kali]

*Leonardo looked back at Raph and Kameko* All right, let's go. *all three of them charged towards the front door of the building. Raph overtook Leo in his eagerness for a fight. He jumped and landed a flying kick in the dead center of the door, shattering it.*

Yep, trying to get him to be stealthy would have been a bad idea. Leo thought.

*Kali and Don made their way to the back of the building. They avoided the cameras and sensors. The fact Shredder made them so easy to spot worried Don, Shredder was usually better than this, he was playing them...*

Don: Okay, just let me get this door open. *as Don worked, a thought occured to him* You know, not that I'm telling you what to do, but a little more "power" might be helpful.

*Kali smiled a perfectly human smile* And give away our trump card?

*Don chuckled* Good point. *the lock clicked and Don slowly pushed the door open*

((I'll leave Mike to be on your "team", Machi!))

((Oh, suuuure, now you guys start playin' again, when I'm on Spring Break... :P Btw, I'm getting a new computer soon, and when it does, I'm gonna get internet at home. :D Make my life a lot easier. Oh, and did I mention:

*Kameko followed Raph through the door. A nagging thought in the back of her mind told her that Leo had a reason for choosing her and Raph, but she ignored it. ~Who cares what he thinks? I had a bad night last night, and I wanna do some major-league butt-kicking!~*

Rescue me? Why would I need rescuing?
*He saw the door to the lab opening, and quickly grabbed the small communicator and gold coin*

*Azure quickly hopped back on the Mind Bender before the intruders could enter*

*As SC valiantly concealed her amusement, Shredder struck a commanding pose and bellowed at Baxter for the intruders' benefit.*: Prepare to zap this hideous blue freak of nature!

[Skeletoncrew]

((Hey everyone! Are we still doing this? From the looks of it, you're in the building now, and we're about to "zap" poor sweet Azure. Aren'tcha gonna rescue the poor blue turtle? Doesn't Leo have some good leaderly "Let him go!"s in him? :D ))

[Kali]

((Okay, okay. :P ))

*Donatello rushed into the lab, ready to fight* Hold it right there, Shredder! Azure's coming with us. *he quickly pressed the button on his communicator that alerted the others to their position*

*Leonardo noticed his com alert going off. He checked it quickly before calling to Raph and Kame* This way guys, we've found him!

*Having stepped into the lab just after Don, Kali didn't even hesitate. She tossed a throwing knife, which just missed Baxter's hand by centimeters as he moved to "throw the switch"* Nuh uh, I don't think so.

[Machias Banshee]

(gah, I'll do what i can... :goofygri: gah, uh...heh, so much for good characterizations...)

*Mike and Machi heard the word from Leo, and Mike shut his com*
M: Let's go, dudette, time for some action! You ready?

*nods* right...*grins* ready as I'll ever be....

*They continued their way, when Machi paused*
hey, look over here...
*Mike turned, and looked. There was something not unlike a large mountain of various sized crates. As they approached, they could hear voices.*

Mike: Sounds like the others...

*nods, listening closely* and...shredder...wait--there's a voice, that's familiar...let's climb the boxes, and see if we can get to the others...

Mike: *nods, jumping up onto a box* sounds like a plan...*grins, offering her a hand as they made their ascent...*

(forgive me in my lameness of post... :P )

[Skeletoncrew]

*Baxter let out a girly scream as the knife embedded itself in the control panel near his hand. His eyes went wide as he whirled around towards Kali and Don. Skeletoncrew also turned to check out the intruders, but Shredder merely eyed them and continued scanning the room for the rest of the Turtles. He drew his sword and stepped slightly in front of SC in case he needed to block any projectiles.*

Baxter *Looking at Kali with confusion*: You're not a Turtle!

*Skeletoncrew smiled lasciviously at Donatello.* That's an impressive piece of wood you've got there.

((BTW, just wanted to let everyone know that I am unarmed. All I've got is a purse.))

[Machias Banshee]

*Mike and Machi eventually make it to the top, and look over the edge, seeing Kali and Don confronting Baxter and Shredder, and--*

Who's that? *squints, trying to get a better look at the stranger*

Mike: Dunno, but theyre about to get the biggest surprise of their life...

*They exchange grins, and stealthily make their way closer to the group, remaining unseen*

[Skeletoncrew]

*Shredder noticed movement out of the corner of his eye and moved ever so slightly to get a better look. A Turtle and a girl were on top of one of the piles of crates and shipping containers. Fortunately for him, they'd chosen to perch one of the 10' shipping cubes he'd rigged. He smiled and pressed a button on the remote concealed in his left hand. The lid of the shipping container opened inwards, depositing the two inside of it, before snapping shut. As everyone was momentarily distracted by the noise of their capture, he pressed another button, dropping a weighted net on Kali and Don.*

Shredder: Opps. These old warehouses can be SO treacherous.

*Baxter laughed.* Good one Master!

[Machias Banshee]

*they both emitted a girly scream, landing hard on the bottom of the box, looking up only to see the box close shut, casting them into darkness. Machi lifted her head, shaking it slightly*

Oh, that hurt....Mike?*a muffled sound comes from beneath her, and she pushes herself upright quickly* Sorry Mike...

Mike: *looks up at her, grinning* Heh, who said you should be...?

*She groans, getting off of him, and reaches for the walls, feeling around carefully* Great, we're stuck in a giant box, no lights, and no way to get to the top, now what....?

Mike: *chuckles, getting to his feet* I could say something really bad right now--*stops at the slight growl* But i wont...

Thank you...*rolls her eyes in the darkness* let's see what we can do...

Mike: *starts feeling around the perameter of the box, when he pauses* Hey, I think i found a weak spot in the wood, help me here...

*Mike takes a step back, and uses his muscular upper arm to try and shoulder the plank out of place.*

Mike: Give me a hand, Machi...

*grins, approaching his voice* why not, you got have everything else just a sec ago....

Mike: *groans and they together continue trying to jar the plank away*

[Kali]

Baxter *Looking at Kali with confusion*: You're not a Turtle!
My, aren't we observant? *a net dropped on Kali and Don before she could lunge. They struggled, but to no avail.*

Don: Kali, that Trump card's looking like a pretty good idea right about now.

*Raphael charged into the lab, sais slashing. His mind worked quickly. Shredder, Baxter, unknown human. Azure on contraption table. Don and Kali trapped by net. ((He can't see Machi and Mike.)) He growled and advanced on Shredder* You're gonna pay for that, you overgrown salad spinner!

*Leo snuck into the room, taking advantage of the chaos to try and get to Azure unnoticed. He did, and nudged Azure's shoulder* Come on, Little Bro, time to get you out of here.

[Kameko]

*Somehow Kameko had found herself bringing up the rear. She entered the lab, and stared for a moment. What a disaster. And MOST of them were supposed to be frickin' ninjas. Geesh.

~And there goes Raph. He better save some for me...~

She spotted Leo and Azure, and made her way over to them, trying to keep her attention on them, plus Raph, Shredder, Baxter, and the unknown chick all at the same time. She was getting a headache.*

[Machias Banshee]

*they worked on the planks, hearing more voices from their place within the box. The plank only moved slightly, despite their efforts.*

Mike: *steps back* Okay, this is not working...

Hmm...*looks down. She sees another plank going crosswise lower on the "wall", and looked back to mike* Hey, I'll pull on this lower plank, you push on that one, maybe we can manage to dismantle the box that way...

Mike: *nods* Lets hurry, though, we're missing all the action..!

*she drops down, taking hold of the plank, pulling on hers, while pushing against Mike's plank with her foot. Mike continued trying to break through*

[Skeletoncrew]

*Shredder adopted a menacing air and approached Raphael leading with his katana.* I'll pay for what, freak? Trying to make some improvements to your little blue friend? You could use a little improving yourself!

*Baxter noticed Leonardo freeing Azure from the Mindbender.* Master! My experiment is getting away!

*Shredder spoke through his teeth.* Then do something about it nincompoop!

Baxter: Right! Uh...get away from that equipment you repuslive reptile!

[Machias Banshee]

*they worked at the boards, grunting and hissing in effort*

Dammit, it wont budge!

Mike: *grunts, pusshing against the board* Just keep going!

*pulls her feet back, kicking hard against the board* ERGH!

*CRACK*

*the board suddenly breaks, and Mike finds himself falling forward.*

Mike: O.o *thump* *he just Barely catches himself, and gets to his feet, reaching into the box* come on!

Finally...*takes Mike's hand, getting behind the crate, and staying out of sight of the others*

[Kali]

*Leo smirked as he pulled Azure off the table* Ooh, I'm so scared! *he kept one sword drawn while he supported Azure with the other arm. He started backing towards the door*

*Raphael took advantage of the slight distraction that Baxter provided. True, Shredder hadn't even turned his eyes away from the turtle in red, but his mind was divided. Risky, but then, when was something Raphael did not? He jumped towards Shredder, ready to administer a sai-tipped punch or a kick, whatever he got the opening for*

*Meanwhile, Kali growled, gripping at the net ropes. She pulled fiercly and split the net right in two, freeing herself and Donatello. Don rushed over to Baxter, shoving his bo right up under his chin* What kind of machine is this?

*Kali stood with tensed muscles, searching for a fight. Her horns were just visible poking through her hair and her eyes had gone black, features easy enough to overlook if you weren't focusing.*

[Machias Banshee]

*Machi peeked over the edge ofthe crate in front of her, seeing everyone in mid-battle*

Man, we gotta help them!

Shredder: What's the matter turtle? Afraid?

*Shedder took a swipe with his blades at Raphael, ready to block any retaliation with his katana. SC bounced up and down on the balls of her feet, happily taking in all of the action. Her cheeks blushed from the two beers she'd had earlier.*

This is so AWESOME! Its, its...like a great big beefcake fest! I mean, look at the muscles on these guys! Man, I got a good look at the ass on that one with the swords when he leaned over the table. Mmmm!

*Baxter's eyes went wide and whimpered for a moment before finally calling out*: Master! Skeletoncrew! Save me!

*SC whirled quickly around and swayed slightly assessing the situation. She squared her shoulders and addressed Donatello.*

Hey handsome! Dontcha have somewhere better to stick that fine piece of wood? How about that hot little blonde number you've got with you? Or dontcha swing that way?

[Machias Banshee]

(:lol: ROFL!! Oh my God, Poor Donnie...)

*they pause, and Machi stands upright, folding her arms*

Well, so much for that...what do we do now?

Mike; *scratches his head* Uh, anyone need some assistance?

*Don glared at Skeletoncrew. No doubt that this was the woman who'd given Leo such a hard time over the communicator. Standing here now, he knew why Leo wasn't exactly amused by her. Still, despite how focused he was, he couldn't help the slight blush ((*snicker*))* Unless you know what this machine does, I wasn't talking to you!

*Raph managed to dodge Shredder's claws, swiping with his sai as soon as he landed, which Shredder blocked with his katana. The two combatants were pushed back, only to attack again.*

*Kali regrouped over with Mike and Machias. She smiled* Hey, took you two long enough. The more the merrier. *she held a couple bolos (remnants of the weighted net)* Though I'm a bit disappointed, there's only three of them, and only one's a fighter. I'm guessing we concentrate on taking down Shredder. *she spun one of the bolo, ready for an open shot at Shredder.*

*Leo dragged Azure with him* Just a little longer guys, hold 'em until I get Azure out of here.

((I've painted my fingernails green with a red stripe near the top. They look cool, but does this mean I've finally fallen off the deep end of my obsession?))

Mike: *chuckles* Its all Machi's fault...*twirls his chuks, grinning*

*baps mike's arm and smiles back, taking a bolo* Ohh, cant wait...! :evilgrin: Let's nail him! *prepares her net, waiting for the moment to strike*

Mike: *looks over at the two battlers* Hey Raph, need a hand? :evilgrin:

*Azure followed Leonardo around, not really knowing how to take in the whole situation*

Okay... So these are the people I'm supposed to keep tabs on. But no one told me that there were so many! And some of 'em look like me. Now, why would they come rescue me? The turtle holding the katanas called me his little brother. Come to think of it, I don't remember anything before waking up in this lab. Grr... How is the greatest assasin in the world supposed to work under these horrid conditions?

*Thoughts and questions continued racing through Azure's troubled mind. He was completely confused, but decided to play along with the rescue*

*SC smiled at Don.* I DO know what the machine does, but since you're being that way about it I'm not telling.

*She punctuated her statement with a flirty raspberry and turned her attention to the small group that was eying her boyfriend.*

Oh Saki sweetie!

*Shredder didn't miss a move as he continued to clash with Raphael*: No pet names in front of enemies!

*SC pursed her lips cutely and adopted an innocent expression.* Opps. My bad. Ahhh anyway, we seem to be badly outnumbered; your captive is nearly out the door; and one of the turtles is trying to interrogate Baxter by poking him with his wood. I think the jig may be up. Might I suggest that we cut our losses so we might all live to cause trouble another day?

*Shredder grunted slightly as he parried a blow from Raphael's sai.* Excellent idea, Bella! Why don't you unleash your contribution to the effort?

*A strange gleam entered her eyes as SC smiled wickedly.* With pleasure!

*She let out a whistle and crates all around the perimeter of the room exploded outwards, discharging 13 very large, and very mean looking, dogs. The assortment of pitbulls, dobermans, german shephards, and fierce-looking mutts froze and eyed the intruders, growling with their ears laid back.*

((Anyone here seen or played Resident Evil? :evilgrin: If your characters look, they might notice that these dogs don't look too healthy...what with the skin missing in some places and all that.))

(lol, oh God, Don's gonna soil his shell! :lol: )

*she gasped as the room suddenly filled with--

What the hell are THOSE?! *She jumps behind MIke, looking wide-eyed at the deformed beasts*

Mike: :o I dunno, but they sure dont look friendly... *keeps his chuks up in a defensive position*

((Gah! I'm missing all the goofiness!))

*Kameko stopped in her tracks. She had been prepared to help Raph, not that he necessarily needed the help, but... And then she saw them. The meanest, nastiest, fiercest bunch of dogs she'd ever seen. :teek: Her pupils all but disappeared into the whites of her eyes, and she visibly paled.

She hated dogs.*

[Kali]

*Don turned his attention away from Baxter when the crates burst open. At the sight of the hideous dog creatures, he felt his knees go weak. Dogs... why did it have to be dogs? He was paralyzed where he stood, unable to move even when one of the dogs ran straight for him.*

*The dog was cut off in mid-jump by a bolo wrapping around its neck, the momentum throwing it off to the side. Kali ran up and slapped Don across the face* Snap out of it Don! We have to get out of here!

*Kali turned and growled at a couple of the approaching dogs. They paused, but hardly cowered, the way "normal" dogs would have done.*

*Raphael wasn't about to let Shredder out of here. But he couldn't let his friends, his family get torn to pieces either. He took a quick glance around to make sure Leo was out of the room. Yep* Everyone OUT!

[Skeletoncrew]

*Shredder laughed evily* Awww! Don't tell me that the big bad ninjas are afraid of a bunch of puppy dogs?!

*A black mastiff launched itself at Raphael's right side.*

*Two partially flayed dobermans flanked Baxter, stalking stiffly towards Donatello and Kali.*

*A white German shephard speckled with red quitely crept up behind Kameko.*

*Three mixed breeds and a pitbull missing half of its face converged on Mike and Machias. The rest of the dogs circled the perimeter slowly., their eyes moving from intruder to intruder.*

[Kameko]

*Kameko made a whimpering noise that sounded suspiciously like 'Splinter'. She wanted to move, desperately wanted to move, but she couldn't. She might as well have been frozen solid. Well, except that if she were actually frozen, she probably wouldn't have to worry about getting ripped to bloody shreds.*

[Machias Banshee]

*her face paled as the four monstrosities lurked towards her and Mike. Mike kept himself between Machi and the deformed dogs, looking for a escape route, when he happened to see a large bloodied dog sneaking up on Kame. In a flash, he pulled out a small tanto, and flipped it at the creature, embedding in its neck*

Mike: KAME!!!! LOOK OUT!

*Machi tried to focus her energies on fighting, rather than hiding, and sidestepped so she'd be abreast with Mike, and sdplayed her claws, giving a growl*

[Kameko]

*She heard the shout, but it took another moment or two for it to actually register in her numb brain. When it did, she managed to turn around in response. What she saw made her wish very much that she hadn't.*

:o Oh...my...God...

[Kali]

*Kali let off a continuous warning growl at the dogs approaching her and Donnie. Her demon features were clearly visible now, as she continued pulling in power. (Note: Kali doesn't have her wings in this RP.)* Don, when I tell you, I want you to pole vault away.

Don: What about you?

I got me covered. Go!

*Don did as directed, planting his bo down just in front of the dogs and Baxter and leaping over. As he did so, Kali swung the bolo weights. A glancing strike, no real damage, but the two dobermans did turn back to Kali in anger.* That's right, puppies, come get me. *they attacked as one, and Kali leapt backwards, right through the shadow of a large piece of lab equipment. The dogs caught nothing but a mouthful of wall.*

*Raph managed to turn and catch the attack directed at him. He was barely able to hold the animal at bay as it swiped at his plastron and snapped in his face.* Ugh, and I thought Mike had bad breath.

[Machias Banshee]

Mike: *keeps with Machi, spinning a chuk in one hand, glancing between the dogs attacking them, and Kameko* Kame, get away from that and give us a hand over here!

*Machi bares her teeth at the dogs, trying not to let her fear show*
~these things are like from a bad dream...~

[Kameko]

*Well, at least she had managed to find her voice.*

*A few octaves too high* I--

*Clears throat and starts over, voice at a more normal level* I'd love to, Mike, but I can't seem to move. ....Niiiiiice puppy.....

*the deformed pitbull began jump slightly, barking at Machi, blood and saliva dripping from the open half of its face*

*the Dog suddenly leaped at her, baring its teeth. She gave a screechy gasp, and with one swipe, slashed the remaining half of its face to ribbons, blood flowing down to her elbow, dripping onto her leg. The dog shied back, whimpering slightly at its new injuries. Two of the other dogs suddenly jumped on it, tearing at the injured creature, until it no longer moved, a sickening gurgle coming from its throat. Mike pulled Machi away from the scene, kicking the thrid dog back before taking him and Machi over towards Kameko*

Mike: ~That wasnt pretty...~ KAME!! *he raised up one of his chuks and tossed it in her direction* Use it!!!! We're coming over there!

[Kameko]

*Kameko gathered enough courage to move, and managed to grab the nunchuk out of the air. Unfortunately, the sudden movement only served to agrivate the bloodied shephard. She hardly had time to react as it launched itself at her, teeth bared, eyes wild. Hitting her in the chest, it knocked her to the ground and pinned her. She struggled, using the borrowed 'chuk to do to hold the monster back, it's jaws micrometers from her face.

Then she had a strange thought; one that made absolutely no sense given the circumstances: Once upon a time, this might have been a rather cool dog.

Go figure.*

[Machias Banshee]

Kame! *Machi's eyes bugged out, and she leapt at the dog, tackling it off of Kame*

Mike; *took the chance to help Kame to her feet* Damn...you ok?

*Machi was on her hands and knees, and looked at the dog carefully. It seemed to be not moving. She figured it to be knocked out, and went to get up, when--

--the dog suddenly jerked its bloody head back, and took hold of her wrist with its mauled jaws, biting down*

****!!! *She grabbed onto the tanto still embedded in its throat, and hammered it down with her fist, until the dog's mouth finally opened, the beast fully dead. She grimaced, pulling her hand close to her body, and retreated from the carcass*

[Kameko]

*Kameko stood, her legs shaking, and held Mike's arm in a deathgrip. She was certain that she'd fall down if she let go.*

*shakily* I'll live... I think... Thanks, Machi. You okay?

[Machias Banshee]

Mike: *kept Kame steady, and glanced over at Machi, seeing her favoring her left hand* Hun, you okay?


*She inhaled through clenched teeth, and nodded* It broke skin in a few places... *taking the hair bandanna from her head, she quickly wrapped it around her bloodied wrist* Come on, let's help the others--

Mike: *shakes his head, taking the two girls into his arms* Oh no, we're getting you two out of here, along with the others...

[Kameko]

*she made a sound somewhere between a growl and a sigh. She would be more than happy to get away from these freaky monstrosities, but she wanted to help. On the other hand, with her fear of dogs, she'd be useless anyway. She decided not to argue.*

[Machias Banshee]

Mike...we Can walk, you kno--*gets cut off as he hefts her completely off her feet, and frowns, shaking her head* This is is strangely reminding me of Shrek....

Mike: *shakes his head, and makes their way to the others*

[Kameko]

Mike...we Can walk, you kno--...*grumbles, still shaking* Speak for yourself.

*tries not to snicker at the rather undignified way in which Mike hefts Machias over his shoulder.* Why, Machias, I didn't know you were a princess! Heh... Hey Mike, does that make you the ogre?

[Machias Banshee]

Mike: *smirks at Kame* Yep, and that makes You the Donkey...


*folds her arms, glowering*

[Kameko]

*just grins*

Mike: Heh, the Green knight at your service...*chuckles, looking back at Machi with a grin, before trying to locate the others*

*mutters* I am SO going to kill you for this...

*snicker* Oh, you know you're lovin' it.

*tries to ignore how pathetic she feels -- and no doubt looks -- hanging on her brother's arm for support*

*tries to give Kame a withering look, but cant see past Mike's shoudlers*

Mike: *grins evilly* I know I am... :evilgrin:

:roll: Oh, boy, here we go....

Mike; *chuckles, looks for the others*

*Don had landed safely, but a couple of the "perimeter dogs" advanced on him when he tried to make for the door. He held his bo, fearfully knowing that the wooden staff would be easily splintered between the jaws of these monsters.*

*Raphael was losing his battle. The dog got off a couple good swipes that managed to get his shoulder. No matter what he did, the damn beast just kept coming.*

*The dog yelped as it was roughly grabbed by the shoulders and tossed aside like a toy. Kali extended her hand to Raphael* I can't take you anywhere, can I?

Raph: I owe you one, babe. But first, let's get everyone out of here.

Lemme try something. *Kali placed her two pinkie fingers in the corners of her mouth and let out a shrill whistle that only lasted a second before going high out of the human range of hearing.*

*Leo, meanwhile, had managed to get Azure out to the van. He got Azure to sit in the back, handed him a bottled water, then looked out for anyone else coming from the building.*

[Machias Banshee]

*Machi opened her mouth to make a very crass comment at Mike and Kame, when she heard a shrill whistle*

Hey, what was that?


Mike; Let's check it out...*he sets machi back on her feet, and starts looking for the exit.*

*Machi holds her wrist in one hand, and looking for movement. She spotted a very nervous looking Don over by the doors*
Kame, Mike, let's give Donnie a hand....

Mike: *glances over at Don, and tries to supress a grin* Let's go help the doggie-hater....

[Skeletoncrew]

((WOW! You guys were busy. I suppose I should have specified that these are zombie dogs. They don't really feel pain or fear. And of course, decapitation or neck breaking will "kill" them. So, as far as I can tell, only the white shephard is dead.))

*Shredder, Baxter, and SC stood back and watched.*

Shredder *slowly*: Very nice.

Baxter: I still don't see how you can animate the dead like that.

Its magic.

Baxter: There's no such thing as magic! You're running a current through them and somehow remotely controlling them.

*SC just smiled and shrugged.*

*Kali's whistle attracted the attention of the remaining 12 dogs, and they launched themselves at her.*

*SC frowned as the dogs left their places and attacked the strange woman enmasse. She'd previously directed them to spread themselves out amongst the intruders. She turned towards Donatello and the mastiff changed its course to him.*

[Kameko]

'The' doggie-hater? You make it sound like there's only one. I don't wanna go anywhere near those things agian. I ain't gonna be able to get to sleep for a mo-- Donny!


((Heh, test? What test?))

[Kali]

Raph: Whoa! *Raph threw himself and Kali to the side as the dogs attacked* Was that the effect you were going for?

Well, it is now. Get going, get everyone out of here!

Raph: I don't think so, sweetheart, I am NOT leaving you here by yourself. *he kicked one of the dogs, but it only jumped back to its feet like nothing happened*

And I'm telling you I'm the only one who stands a chance! *Kali pointed and starting "firing" blasts of dark energy at the beasts* Now go help the others!

*Raph growled, but relented, jumping, and nearly getting chomped, over the mob* I'll be back for you, angel.

*Don turned at the sound of Kame's shout just in time to defend against the mastiff. The dog clamped onto his bo and a treacherous tug-of-war went on for a few seconds before Don's bo broke under the pressure*

[Skeletoncrew]

*SC focused her attention on Kali. She definitely wasn't human. Very interesting. Problematic too. She wanted to force the intruders out, not fight them to the bitter end. Saki may want them dead, but Bella didn't feel the need to accomplish that particular goal for him. She silently instructed the dogs to tone down their attack, and to leave all exits clear. She glanced at the turtle in the purple. He didn't look like he'd be able to walk if he wanted too. Must be afraid of dogs. Time for some humor.*

*The mastiff pulled away as Donatello's bo cracked. He was left with a two foot section in his mouth. Suddenly, a white toy poodle with a mushed poodle cut came out from under a tarp. It ran up between Donatello and the Mastiff and began bouncing up and down yapping at the big dog. On its third bounce it latched onto the broken bo, and hung there clinging to it, growling.*

*SC grinned and instructed the mastiff to focus on shaking the smaller dog free. Hopefully the turtle would have the presense of mind to take advantage of the opening.*

[Kameko]

*When his bo broke, Kameko was certain Donny was a goner. And then she saw the poodle. The site of the thing jumping and yapping, and then clinging to the bo that the much larger dog had in it's mouth was bizarre. It would have actually been funny if the dogs weren't so darn freaky.*

Uh, Don...?

[Kali]

*Don could only stare at the dogs in front of him. What had happened hadn't quite sunk in yet.*

Raph: Yo, Don! *Raph came out of nowhere and grabbed Don's arm* The exits are clear, let's go while they're occupied! *it seriously pained him to say that, knowing that Kali was what was keeping them occupied. He just had to suck up his fear and trust in her.*

[Skeletoncrew]

*Shredder gloated at the escaping rescue party.*: That's right! Jump ship you cowardly rats!

*He turned to SC when the last of them had exited the building. He sheathed his sword and carefully stroked the back of her neck. He whispered to her*: Good work my darling, I'll reward you handsomely for this. Just get rid of this last one, and we'll be on our way.

*SC's eyes sparkled and she broke into a grin. She addressed the combatants.* Alright! That's enough!

*The remaining dogs stopped and backed up slightly, leaving an open route to the door.*

So? What will it be? Leave now, or continue fighting?

[Kali]

*Kali glared at Shredder and Skeletoncrew as she moved towards the door, not turning her back on them, or the dogs.* We got what we came for, and frankly, you aren't worth the energy. *she literally disappeared through the door after her friends*

[Skeletoncrew]

*Shredder and Baxter's jaws dropped and SC arched her eyebrow.*

Very interesting indeed.

Baxter: Probably just an optical illusion. Hey! I just realized that none of my equipment got destroyed. Whoo-hoo! *Baxter started dancing around shouting "We're number one!"*

Shredder: Bella, would you please post your dogs around the building to act as sentinels? They may not really be gone.

Of course.

*The dogs filed out the door.*

*Baxter continues running around the lab in a complete happiness*

Baxter: Yay! I'm so happy! None of my precious babies got hurt...

*One of SC's dogs decides to "mark his territory" on the Mind Bender*

Baxter: AIIIIIEEEE!! Get that mutt away from my machine! He's going to short circuit the Mind Bender... and it's going to be smelly! I can't stand it when the lab is smelly!

*Meanwhile, Azure took the water bottle Leo offered him and carefully drank it. He kept Leo under careful observation. This turtle was obviously the leader of the bunch. In order to take out the team, one must take out the leader...*

Leo: Hey Azure, are you okay?

*Azure choked on his water.*

Yes! Yes, of course I am. I'm just a little... dizzy, that's all.

*Leo gave Azure a funny look, but quickly turned his attention back to the building*

Leo: C'mon, c'mon! Where is everyone??

[Kali]

*Raph led the others away from the building, half-dragging Don along with him. He wanted to get back to the van as soon as possible so he could go back for Kali. He spotted the van and signaled to Leo*

*Leo let out a sigh of relief. However, after taking a head count, he frowned again* Where's Kali?

Raph: She distracted the dogs so we could get away. I'm going back for her.

*Don had finally regained his senses* Raph, take a second to think about this. It's not like they could ki- *Raph's sai was pointed at his throat*

Raph: I'm. Going. Back.

No need. *Kali strolled around from the other side of the van, looking very tired. Raph came over and checked her for injuries, totally ignoring the slash on his own shoulder* I'm fine, let's just go home, get everyone patched up and rested.

[Skeletoncrew]

*Shredder looked at SC.* I would have thought that dead animals wouldn't have any need to relieve themselves.

They don't. :evilgrin: Baxter annoys me.

[Machias Banshee]

Mike: *lead the way, Machi and Kame in quick tow* Come on, the bus is leavin without us!

*Machi nods, keeping careful hold of her injured hand. The doorway came into view, and with one last glance at Shredder, Baxter and the woman, she quickly followed Mike out to freedom.*

*Azure frowned a little when everyone poured into the van. He was quickly moved away from the windows. Tracking his location was going to be difficult if he couldn't see his surroundings. He silently watched everyone chatter about the fight, trying to absorb information about his intended targets*

[Kali]

*Leo glanced back to make sure everyone was securely in place. ((Yes, I'm gonna just say everyone's in the van now, except Kali and Raph, who took Raph's bike.)) They'd done their best to patch up everyone's wounds with the van's first aid kit, but they'd need to be treated back at the lair. He looked out the window, watching Kali and Raph bicker over who was going to drive. Kali said that with Raph's shoulder, he shouldn't drive, and Raph refused to let anyone else drive it. There wasn't enough room in the van to load it up, it had to be ridden.* Raph, just let her drive, it's not that long of a trip back home.

Raph: Hell no! No one drives my bike but me.

*Kali rolled her eyes and whispered something into Raph's ear. His eyes went wide, then he grumbled* I hate it when you argue like that. *he handed over the keys*

*Kali smirked evilly, her human features returning*

[Machias Banshee]

*Machi cradled her injured wrist in her hand, muttering to herself. Mike managed to nab the first aid, and sat beside her, looking down at her hand worriedly. She pulled the bloody bandanna off her hand and looked it over, grimacing at the ragged semicircle of quarter-inch deep teethholes in her wrist.*

*hiss* Great, I'm gonna have to get a rabies shot now...

Mike:*grins, trying to be upbeat* Yeh, dont need you getting all foamed at the mouth, or end up getting Splinter rabid on us...

*gives him a look, and shakes her head as he tries to clean the bitewound*

[Kameko]

.....or end up getting Splinter rabid on us...*snerk* Now there's an interesting mental image. Heh.

*looks over at Azure* You're bein' pretty quiet, bro. They didn't hurt you, did they?

~Now there's a stupid question. We're talking about Shredder and the poster-child for mad scientists. Geezum, Kame, think before you speak next time!~

*Azure continued staring at Kameko until he realized that she was talking to him*

Oh! Ah... No, I feel fine. Just a little... uh... disoriented. By the way, that was amazing how you all came in to rescue me. :embarass:

Yes, yes. I'll play stupid and blame it on the machine. This way, I can gather the information I need. Heh heh. All the gold will be mine!

*Azure looked about, hoping to spot a window. Unfortunately, He was sitting too far away to see out of it. Not a good thing, especially since he had no idea where they were taking him*

*Leo kept glancing back via the rearview mirror. He was a little worried about Azure. He wasn't sure whether or not they'd made it in time to stop Shredder from doing whatever it was he was trying to do to Azure. The blue turtle seemed fine, a little distracted, but fine. Leo made a mental note to have Don run some scans when they got home. Maybe have sensei run some of his own...*

*Kali caught Leo's gaze when he glanced at the side mirror, and indicated she was going to pass. After clearing the van she took off like a shot. She loved being just as reckless, if not more than Raph, but at least she was considerate enough to warn people before hand.*

*Leo just shook his head as the cycle passed. Of course, the two arrived home before the others, and went to go check if Splinter had everything prepared. While Raph checked the lair to make sure that this wasn't just some plot to get them out of the lair so Shredder could set a trap, Kali helped set up for the specific injuries that would be walking in the door any second.*

*Azure sat in the van silently, ignoring Kameko's odd stares and listening to the chatter of the others. He knew he would have to send Shredder a report via the communicator very soon. They'd probably want to know if he had infiltrated the enemies' hideout.*

*Meanwhile, Baxter was lamenting over the mess in his lab*

Baxter: I can't believe it! This place is a mess, and it reeks of rotten dog pee! You don't expect me to clean this all up by myself, do you?

*He gives Shredder and SC a pleading look*
