Here in Washington State during the news they have a brief thing called The Buzz that mentions the latest goings on in hollywood gossip.
Well on today's additon of The Buzz the first thing mentioned was the TMNT!! It showed a couple scenes from the movie and the TMNT themselves (live action ones) walking the streets of NYC (I believe it was footage from a thing they did this week). So WOOT! :D This is not the first time the TMNT have been mentioned on the local news (as they were in town twice last year) but this is the first time they've been on The Buzz.

I was in the other room playing the new TMNT game on PS2 when my mom called me in to the living room to see the clip they were showing on KOMO. I caught the tail end, where it was saying it was the first movie for the TMNT in 14 years. They also said it "combines CGI with live action actors such as Patrick Stewart and Sarah Michelle Gellar"(!) I don't recall seeing that in any of the trailers

 I have never heard an actor being described as "live action".
The people in costumes that I can't imagine are very detailed (who I'm guessing are the same as the ones from The Early Show today) disturb me greatly. They're cheapening the concept. Don't they realize that? People who had no foreknowledge on this movie are now going to prejudge it based on these ridiculous marketing schemes. :(

This is sort of related (since it is from the same state); here is the Tacoma News Tribune's review of TMNT:

Ugh. I expected this. The only things he gives good ratings to are crappy arthouse flicks where you fall asleep during the titles, and lousy comedies where the entire audience snickers once and is silent throughout the rest.
