People Dressed Up?

Hey everyone, I'm going to the 10:10pm show tonight and I'm curious for feedback from those who have gone already...were there large crowds and/or people sporting their TMNT gear??

Pretty nice crowds for an afternoon showing. But then again the kids got a 3 day weekend here. :lol:

I did notice I was the only one there who was wearing anything TMNT related. I wore my hoodie, a pewter turtle necklase, my TMNT movie shirt, my purple dragon shoes, a hat with a pin on it (an old Don pin that I had gotten in a happy meal WAAY back in 1990), as well as a pewter turtle bracelet, my TMNT watch, and my italian charm bracelet (I have like 5 or 6 turtle charms). One kid at the book store noticed my shirt and exclaimed to his mom "I want that shirt!!" :lol:

One kid going with his dad at the theatre arrived rather excitedly one of the TMNT McDonald's figures. It was the Leo and he played with it while his dad baught tickets. *lol*

my sis and I just got back we had out tmnt gear on I had my 2k3 shredder shirt on and she had her old school logo hoddie on.
there where alot of little kids there super excited they all had tmnt stuff on also made me feel a bit silly honestly lol.:lol:

I'm going to grab some red material and cut it out into a red bandanna, and possibly buy some toy sai. Then I'm probably going to go up to the ticket box and jokingly ask for a ticket to see "Mr. Bean's Holiday" or something that can not be related to TMNT in any way, just to see the reaction to whoever is serving me before I ask for my real ticket :lol:

I didn't have anything, but JameO had his TMNT shirt on, and he also got one of those Happy Meal toys from McDonalds before we went in, so I was making it dance on the seat in front of me while singing the Ninja Rap. Kids were scared.

actully I think perhaps they do well at least some kids do because while going t the bathroom after the movie (those giant drinks will get ya!) I over heard to children both maybe about 10 i'd think said that they liked the old movies better and I'm not making this up.:ohwell:

The kids in this movie didn't know for sure. They were all under 7 at least. My posse were the oldest fans there. Anyone older was a parent, but who knows, some of them might have been Turtles fans too!

Maybe I should have taken the crew jacket I have from the second movie. I might have been able to get a free ticket. Of course it doesn't actually fit.

I only saw one other girl wearing any TMNT stuff besides my sister and myself.
I wore a shirt I made and my sweatshirt with the sais embroidered in the pockets, I had my big 80's TMNT pin and I since I didn't have much else to wear I decided to take my stuffed Mikey with me. :D My friends little girl also gave me on of the McDonald's toy, I gave her gummy bears in exchange for it :P

It's been hot here so I didn't take the trenchie...

instead I wore a TMNT shirt, ponytailed my hair with a hair tie with a red ribbon tied to that and took my Raph plushie then I bought the sai hoodie at Hot Topic, aannnd wore a necklance with a charm made by a fellow fan and my Italian charm bracelet...I was stylin :lol:

I wasn't working today, so I was able to go to the 2:30pm screening. I of course did that to avoid the kids. But man, we were 7. Me my friend, and some kids with their parents to see the movie.

I'm pretty sure that it will fill up in the weekend, everybody enjoyed the movie, 2 of the kids did asked to see it again the same day with some friends. But no one was wearing any tmnt stuff. But one of the kids had a leo action figure.

HEHEHE I went to the theatre with my Mikey plush and I saw ppl in this furry-skinned really well made TMNT costumes, no Mikey one, but Leo was workin the ticket/cash, Raph was tearing the tikkets and I saw Donny randomly walkin around OMFG it was the BEST DAY EVER!!!!!!!

I gots a picture with Raphael, and liek I tapped his shoulder but then realised he was struggling so hard to rip a tikket stub XD LOLz!!!

I wore my new TMNT shirt, and some custom-painted TMNT shoes I got on eBay last year.

Then I got a load of blue fabric and made a headband, wristbands, and elbow/knee pads like the 80's cartoon. XD

Yeah, I was totally the only one who did anything at all. It got awkward when people took pictures.

Yeah no costumes where I went. I did sport my TMNT shirt in which some people pointed out and some asked where I got it and stuff. I saw some kiddies with New toon turtle shirts and the MCD"S toys and that made me happy. As much as McDonald's makes me gag I was happy.

I wore my 80's style track jacket and black fitted tee to match, both from Hot Topic, with a denim miniskirt and black tights for style ^^;. I also wore my green and brown "Turtle" Puma shoes. My friend carried her Leo plush and I had my beloved Mikey one that I've had since I was 5. I wanted to bring my Leo katanas but I left them at my mom's and didn't have time to drive there. ;_;

On a similiar note, I couldn't go to the movie on opening night because I was at Midsouthcon. But there was someone in a full body Splinter costume that they made. It was awesome. I have a picture of me hugging him (though there was a girl inside! haha!) XD

That I don't know about. I think I found the link on here somewhere, or maybe the Superhero boards. But I'm not sure if it has official affiliations or not.

The theatre I was in was mostly adults and older teens (there were maybe two kids around the age of 10 or 12), but that's because the movie wasn't dubbed, nor had subtitles. I was the only one wearing TMNT related clothes. I wore a 2K3 shirt I got from Toys'r'Us a good while ago. But an adult had brought a very old turtle plushie with him :D I think it was Donnie.

Old toon style shirt with a pile of pizza boxes on it and from the TMNT coloring book: a Mikey temp tattoo on one hand, a Raph with his name on the other and a TMNT with all four guys on my arm. I was really disapointed no one else there had dressed up at all...I was hoping to find local turtle fans to glomp ): ....probably because I didn't get a chance to go until the Saturday a week after it opened and I went to the first show around 1pm (those are the cheap shows! why do people not go to these?)

I wore a man's TMNT shirt that was dark blue, and it was labeled "TMNT" in light and medium blue, and just below the logo were the turtles themselves in blue, looking like they were kicking major butt. Lol. I bought it from Suncoast (which is a store it's located in some malls) like a week or something before I actually saw the movie. About the fact it's a guy shirt, I know, I'm half girly, half tomboy, but I honestly don't care. Yeah, so I wore that as practically the only thing Turtle-related to the theater when I went with my best friend, Brieanna, who wasn't wearing anything TMNT-related at all.
