Movie was cut?

I'm almost positve that is what happened. This movie seemed to have like mini cliffhangers that never got finished or plot holes that were left unfilled, like many have said.

Not to mention that I swore, several fight scenes are gone. Whatever happened to Raph's Nightwatcher ego coming across that one eyed monster and having it knock Raph right over the barrel that we seen in the trailers?

If this is warranted a sequel, I think the studios need to let go of Kevin's reins and let his horses run free, with a longer, more full filling TMNT, with PG-13 content. I mean, hello, Leo here with razor sharp blades!!!!!!!

This is very annoying....but typical Warner Bros. The movie was probably cut for time and content...and the DVD that comes out in June will be bare-bones I'm sure. Then around Nov-Dec they will release a Deluxe edition with all the deleted scenes,storyboards,commentary ect,ect. Warner Bros is THE most censor happy studio when it comes to their animated features....I still havent forgiven them for trying to bury the original cut of Batman Beyond: Revenge of the Joker.

1.The opening didn't have the turtles jumping from the rooftops. It just showed drawings, like the Shredder one we see later.

2. The opening battle was cut, it had more monster action.

3. Mikey said "I not usually happy to be bleeding" in the preview cut. It was changed to "In pain" in the final version. Also, A shot of blood dripping on Max's hand was cut as well.



I'm sure there's more, but that's all I can remember.

This IS exactly what happened with Batman Beyond! All the blood was censored,the Jokers knife was edited out (which made it look like he was cutting Batman with an invisible knife) and many of the fight scenes were cut to make them less violent. Whats the deal Warner Bros.? They are BY FAR the most conservative studio when it comes to animation....which is funny when you remember they got their start with Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck dropping safes on each other and shooting Elmer Fudd in the face with a shotgun. These days the Disney Princess's get away with more than the WB characters:roll:

yeas, i remember those things being there for the preview and not for the final film. i didnt spot anything else except for a minor joke from Casey:

When he and April are carting in the last of the statues to Winter's office, April tells him that Winter's company makes hair gel. He originally responded, "Well I wear mousse." but in the final product he says "I don't wear hair gel. I'm 'au natural'"

They were pretty old school.

I kinda preferred the preview opening than the one we got in theaters. In fact, I preferred the cut I saw earlier, but I guess what I saw was the PG-13 version. It's still a great movie, but the original cut, as minor as the cuts are, made the movie just a little better.

Sigh... What's worse then the feeling that things were CUT, is the fact you feel things were RUSHED. Like someone decided to randomly push the fast-forward button.

The "big" fight scene between the foot clan and everyone else as they ran towards the building.

I clocked the movie in at around 80 minutes (It was airing at 7:00 - I walked in at 7:02 and walked out at like 8:22). ...Aside from all the end credits, I missed nothing.

In at least 50% of the movie for every minute they had - they could have had another minute.

Warner Bros needs to listen, the saying is "Live and Learn", not "Rinse and Repeat".

Generally speaking, deleted scenes are usually left out of the movie and compiled in the DVD menu. Then again, it'd just be fantastic to see TMNT get the "Extended Version" treatment, sort of like Terminator 2.

Although I do remember in the trailer a scene where the Generals throw the spinning blades up at Casey and Raph from the ground. Was this scene in the movie? I really don't remember, but I'm pretty sure it wasen't. Maybe it was too violent seeing Raph nailed in the shell and was cut.

From everything we've all read etc it is clear that Kevin Munroe and his crew had plenty of extra footage etc for the film which didn't make the final cut due to rating reasons / time reasons, and though he said he submitted them to WB for consideration for the dvd, I'm worried that WB will palm us off with a really naff dvd with limited extras for budgetary reasons. Is there some kind of petition we can create and submit to WB to show there is a huge fan base that would pay for a 2 disc set with director's extended cut, documentaries about the making of etc as well as the theatrical cut?

So, you think Raph picking up a manhole cover and flinging it like a frisbee at some bad guys would be a no no for a PG film too?

Damn, it seems like WB had set this film up to fail. They don't care about the movies, they just want to sell their interest in toys and comics and cash in on those profits. I think this film could have been a grand slam if it was PG-13 and had more publicity.

No, I remember reading Kevin's disdain in calming down some scenes to keep the PG rating. This movie was originally, in rough cut, 120 minutes. That's two hours. So we are missing 30 minutes of probably harsh, jagged ended action scenes, or scenes that carried questionable dialect.

I just notise something after watching TMNT again. The part when Casey was posing as Cowabunga Carl to distract Karai while the Turtles climb over the wall, I notise Raph is carrying a hugh suitcase, yet it was never shown again. What was the point of that? I could only assume it contains Cassy's sport equipment but if thats true, wouldn't it make more sense for Raph to carry the equipment without the suitcase? Perhaps there was a scene inbetween the part when the turtles was sneaking into the building and fight scenes with the 100 foot ninjas.

I hope we get a tone of deleted scenes, a PG13 dvd would be awesome as well. But I doubt there are very good chances of that happening. TMNT Uncut Collectors Edition or something would be amazing.

I always felt like there was something missing too. It jumps from Casey as Cowabunga Carl, then Winters (if I remember correctly), then back to them fighting. No dialogue before fighting or anything, just straight into fighting. Disappointing really.

there are portions of the movie that are missing from what I have read in the novel. In the novel, they played some ninja tag. In the trailer, Mikey jumps up onto Donnie, who put Mikey down. However, in the scene, Mikey stays on Donnie.

But at the end of the day, after you get Turtles, monsters coming through the city, and this big sci-fi setup, it was at a third or even fourth level of importance. It just couldn’t survive on-screen and not be a two-hour movie, which we were told not to do. It was just one of those things. We even had them get engaged at the end, which was kind of fun.

Also, deleted scenes are all very well, but what about deleted footage from scenes that made the theatrical cut? ie: in the trailer there was the shot of Donatello lowering his goggles, and Mikey was doping some sort of flip in the back ground. The shot of Don was in the film, but Mike wasn't there. I hope they also include 'alternate scenes' for this reason.
