Oh, I believe those are reprints of the Dreamwave comics. I didn't think they were coming out so soon.

The first one may be a reprint of a set of Dreamweave comics but the 2nd one...I am not too sure. None of the Dreamweave comics had a title of Out of the Shadows.

They're trades of the Dreamwave books, collected by Titan UK I believe...

Were the Dreamwave books any good? They had a really short run, didn't they?

Short run, but pretty decent. The first few issues covered the first few episodes of the 2K3 series, but from a different point of view. There were only a couple of 100% new issues, which was a real shame. The art was fantastic, too.

I absolutely loved the Dreamwave series, regardless of its short tenure. The art was fantastic, the concepts were great, plots were creative. I might have to go through them again.

Ok, cause i was about to say, how are they being reprinted, cause DW went out of business 2 years ago(i think it was).
But yeah, the DW issues were pretty nice, i liked 5-7 the best. Was upset since #8 with the Turtlenator issue didnt get to come out, but was lucky to see some of LeSean's art from it at a con awhile back(i think he has those up on his site now or did)
EDIT: I just thought....If their both DreamWave reprints...Why are there 2?...There were only 7 issues, couldn't all 7 fit into one?

Yeah, they could easily fit into one. But #2 is going to have the pencils from the unpublished #8, so that ain't so bad.

Ohhhh, nice. I did not know that, thank you :) . Where did you find out about this? just outta simple curiousity, cause i havent heard anything about DW comics since they closed their doors.

I think the Previews listing mentioned the pencilled part. They list a bunch of extras in there...

Yea, but theres already a collected book of issues #1-4 I believe...are they gonna make another 1-4, and then 5-7 plus those pencils? They should just make the second half...

There is, but that was published way back by Dreamwave. This is a different publisher, so while I hate double buying, it does make sense to just publish the whole darn thing (especially when the old book is out of print). I do wish they were publishing it in one volume instead of two, though.
Yea I guess...but Im with you...it SUX to have to buy this again...esp for such a short run (though very cool) series...

Beh. I didn't dig the Dreamwave series much at all. The majority of it was just material recycled from the TV show. When it finally got to the new stuff it was still boring. LeSean was also making a conscious effort to make every human character in the book black at that point, too. Got rather annoying.
