When is TMNT (Vol4) Coming Back?

I have to say this - I love the current TMNT comics coming out right now.

I only got into them awhile ago, but it seems like it's opened a whole new world to me.

See, for me, the Turtle comics are main-stream enough that I can get into them, but also indy enough that they expose me to new things.

I got a bunch of back issues from the current series - and have been eagerly picking up any Tales of TMNT I can find.


BUT, I gotta ask -- when is the regular (vol 4) series of TMNT going to come back. I know Peter Larid put it on hiatus to help with the movie, but that seems so long ago. He said it was going to be an 8-month Hiatus, right? I can't tell from back issues, has it been 8-months already?

And with the movie out, will he be returning soon? Their website put out previews for their book later this year - but no sign of the regular Turtle book has shown up yet.


I just really loved the series - it was new, fresh, and reinventing the Turtles while keeping hold of the magic that made the comic great in the first place.



So, in short - I want to see the book come back again!


Anybody know anything, see any interview or comments on the net where it might hint as to when the series is coming back. Any info would help - thanks

Hey erik, I'm kinda in the same boat as you. I've just now found out about and gotten into the Volume 4 comics. If you email the ninja turtles site, they'll just tell you that it's up in the air at this point. It's really a matter of whether or not Peter will have the time and desire to continue them. I've heard somewhere that it's supposed to continue in August this year, but I've also heard that it may not be coming back until next year. At this point, the only person I think knows when or if it will come back is Peter Laird himself. :(

Also, I think the last comic came out in June last year, so the 8 months would have been over about February. I love the series, but Peter should at the very least return long enough to change Raph and Donny back to normal and possibly wrap up all his story lines, though I'd much rather he continue indefinitely.
