in season four of the old toon the show probably offered us the most character centric episodes in the series. Donatello had a total of five episodes dedicated to him in this season.
Listed above is list of all of them. Which episode about Donatello did you like the most and why? Which one showed Donatello at his best?

I guess Planet Of the Turtles. I mean it had a cool story. I liked the Dark Don episode better though.

Great, now I got to go to Brandsmart to pick up a copy of season 4 old toon Turtles, because it's been like 15 years since I've seen the old cartoon, and I sure as hell cant remember what happened, and I certaintly don't remember what episode was what!
Thanks alot guys!

I forget Planet Of The Turtles (and I'm still disappointed the second half isn't on this DVD-set...). But I'll vote Donatello's Degree anyhow. It was just a classic one to me! Donatello Makes Time was too slow and I think even had some loopholes, if I remember it correctly and Beyond The Donatello Nebula, I'll admit I don't fully remember.

Donatello's Degree. I love the idea of Don "going to college" and having Irma pose as Don was just to funny. Easily my favorite Don ep of the old toon.

of all the Donatello centric episodes of season four. I liked Donatello's Degree the best. I liked the Donatello+Irma team-up in this episode. I thought it was awsome that there was an episode where the two acted as a team and interacted. I know this is all silly fan girl wishing but I always thought that there was some under laying attraction between these two characters. And I thought it was interesting that choose Irma to go and impersonate him instead of April (although logically he probably didn't choose April because every one knows she is reporter and any one would reconise her..but still).
As far as showing his potentcial goes I think this episode did a good job at showing how truly brillant he is and how he could possibly go far in the real world if he was actually human. Another thing about that this episdes showed is how the other turtles seem to sort of resent Donatello and his intellect. They all seemed pretty annoyed that his intellect gave him special privledges to skip out on spring cleaning. And the turtles seemed pretty unsupportive and insenceative to his plight at not being able to get his diploma. I mean considering how hard he worked for it you would have thought they would have more condolance to give other than "tough tortias Donatello" :( . They are jealous I tell you.
A close second to this episode is Dontello Makes time this episodes just reeks of Donatello's awsomeness. God Donatello shows off his brilliant invetion making skills in every episode, but in this one it shows how well rounded and independent he is, I loved how he goes off on his own and handles the jet ski. He pulled some awsome moves. Again I felt sorry for him when Raphael delberatly breaks his time stopping machine, and the fact that every one laughed at it too. The turtles are jealous of him.

I casted my vote for Planet of the turtles but not because of Don. I loved this ep because of the snl Hans and Frans parody.

They seemed pretty congratulatory when he mentioned he graduated.

Well, the thing was indeed dangerous and had to be gotten rid of. I kind of saw it coming before it even happened when I first saw this ep.
In the old toon, I really doubt jealousy was much of an issue between the turtles ever, and for that, if I had to choose which toon's best (which I don't), I'd pick the old one.

I just thought that given how heart broken poor Donatello was about the gender screw-up that they could have been just a little less blase about his predictatment. And I thought that at least Raphael was just a little bit to gleeful about the mistake of gender, and Michaelangelo condolance lacked any kind of empathy for Donatello. And I just thought that maybe in some small way they where a little glad that his hard work--that got him out of spring cleaning that they where stuck with, came to nothing. Its a bit petty but being that they are teenagers its entirely possible. In fact the only one that came off as sincere was Leonardo.

Yeah, but it was still a really messed up thing to do. How would you like something that you worked very hard on to be broken by your brother. And even if it was dangerous it could have just been modified to be less risky. It could have sereved as a good weapon ;). By the way did any one think that the mad sciencetist sounded a lot like Gizmo Duck from Duck Tales?

I wasn't really being serious both times I said the others where jealous. LOL, But i think to some tdegree the other where jealous of Donatello. He was the one that came up with all the statigies to defeat enemies and was much more intelligent than the other three. And to top it all off Donatello was an awsome fighter. He had the best over all worlds it seems.
For some reason Beyond the Donatello Nebula bugged me a little bit. I don't know why I just didn't care for it very much. Which is weird because I liked the Lizard guy that was introduced in the episode well enough.

Beyond the Donatello Nebula is the one I went with and aww I'm the only one but hey it's ok.
I'd go with Donatello Makes Time for my second choice.

Uhm... Planet of the Turtles - Don-centered episode? O_o It's that ep where the more-looking-like-turtle guy takes the turtles to his planet so they could help his city against a giant three-headed-dragon-like monster which in reality were too crazy turtles?

That's what I thought first but I'm guessing that's Planet of the Turtloids? I've only seen that once so I don't remember.
But I still don't see Planet of the Turtles being Don-centred either.

I felt that the focus was on Donatello more so than the other turtles in "Planet of the Turtles" so that is why I put it up there as one the Donatello centric episodes of that season.

Donatello's Degree. . . that episode had me laughing out loud.
I'm not a big fan of Irma, but I didn't mind her in this one. Poor Don.
