Alright, so lemme get this straight. There were three official movie adaptations of "Secret of the Ooze" released, right? The regular newsstand edition by Archie, a "prestige edition" again released by Archie, and then one released by Kevin Eastman's publishing company Tundra Publishing Ltd.? Am I reading this correctly?

Both Archie versions...

And Tundra Publishing's version...

I recently picked up the Tundra Publishing version, thinking it was the "prestige edition." Seems the only difference is the quality of the paper inside. Just out of curiosity, how rare is Tundra Publishing's release when compared to its Archie counterparts? A neat find? Or nothing special?

As far as I know the prestige edition for Movie II was never printed by Archie. It was only printed by Tundra.

Archie did print both versions that are shown on ninjaturtles.com. The one published by Tundra is kinda the Mirage version of the book.. only not published by Mirage. Like how Mirage published a version of the first movie adaptation. So yes, there are three editions of The Secret of the Ooze. I don't know how particularly rare any version is, though.

In all my years of collecting I have never seen one. Anyone have photos that clearly show it's printed by Archie? Do you own one Rose?

I got 'em all around here somewhere. I'll dig 'em out...

Ok, I stand corrected. I only have the two different versions of movie 2; one from Archie and one from Tundra. I was probably thinking of the first movie, which DOES have three versions. Mirage has two different scans on the site; maybe an email to Dan is in order?

I got the Tundra version years ago from one of my school bus drivers.

Kewl, look forward to it. Seems there may be yet another variation to add to my want list... it will never end. :P

EDIT: Hmm or maybe not. ???

I know how you feel; I'm rather surprised that I do keep finding variants that I don't yet have. It doesn't happen too often anymore, but it does still happen. Just a month or so ago I found an ashcan that I had never seen before. I'm working on cataloging everything using Flickr, but I don't have any of the cool obscure stuff up yet.

Did you see my list? It's in a post somewhere in here. I have found several more and will add those soon. I haven't even added all my Archie variations either. I'll remind myself to do that this week. Ah heck here's the link of what I have listed so far:

Yeah, I think I've seen that before; it's a very thorough list! I know I do have a few things that can be added to it.. so many projects, so little time...
