Good news... (April Fool's joke)

I emailed Dan Thursday night this past week asking for some more info. He replied Friday, but didn't check email until early this afternoon. I asked if their was any news on TLS DVD coming out in NA, and if TMNT would get another season past FF season 2.

Well there's some good news and bad news.

Good news...

He said TLS DVD will follow in sucsession to the new DVD releases of 2k3. Every 4 months they will release TMNT 2k3 DVD's starting on season 1, up to FF season 2. He even said the episodes would be in order.

On my question about TMNT after FF season 2, he did confirm that stories are being planned out for Season 8 (FF season 2 being season 7,) and that it would go back to the original animation style that we all know and love, and will indeed see the guys back home. I never read the comic but he said that there will be more adapted stories from the comics.

Now the bad news. It won't be airing until fall 08. He said FF season 2 is looking to be 26 episodes but he wasn't sure and it could be trimmed to 13, with a break before season 8.

The last bit isn't entirely bad news for those who actually enjoy FF like myself. Anyhow that's all the info I got. Dans a great guy.

That's GREAT news. I can't wait! Every 4 months is a bust though. I don't want to wait 2 years to own the whole TMNT series up to the end of FF. It'll be 4 if they do these half season sets...

But other then that I'm excited as hell!

I'm pissed. Not just a little pissed, but beyond pissed. I don't give a flying **** about waiting another 4 years to see the end of FF on DVD. Why the hell can't they just release them in succession SOONER than every 4 months or release FF now and THEN go back to do the rest of the seasons in order? They've already released the other 4 seasons on DVD... so I don't care about them anymore. Right now, I'm not too concerned about having to watch the dvd's out of sync just to watch the seasons in order... I JUST WANT THE LOST SEASON ASAP. I know this will get "censored," but this is ****ing bull ****! I've never swore this much on this forum, mainly because of the content (The friday the 13th forum is a TOTALLY different community altogether), so I apologize now.

4Kids - At least you saw the err of your ways and are ending the Fast Forward cartoons and returning back to the original animation style. I do not fault you... everyone makes mistakes. It helps that the TMNT movie is doing so well. I'm just glad I don't have to stop watching TMNT anytime soon.

If they are going back to the good animation and timeline is it because the ratings and profits are back up or what? If they are both up, why would they make a switch?

Or are they going back because its what the fans want?

Btw this is amazing news I liked fast forward but really liked 2k3 I'm happy they are going back to the old more detailed style of the show..I wonder though if they will be doing this with fast forward as well or just when they go back to present day?

Anyhow to the person who said 2k3 is doomed, that's really negative. As much as I've said that I believe that the whole franchise rests on the movies sucsess, I'm still going to have hope we'll see another season past season 2 of FF. I mean toy sales are good for movie figs, happy meals are being sold left and right (haven't they always,) the TMNT movie should've made back its budget as of today, so all we gotta do is hope.
