Definitely sounds like a good day!
But I have a question... what's up with a 10 minute break in the middle of the movie? This ain't exactly Titanic. :P
Yeah we were surprised too, dont't know why but we just waited. It wasn't like anyone had to go to the bathroom or anything!

Original version with subtitles, eh? That must've been a bit distracting.
--EDIT
Wait, shouldn't this be in the new movie section?

I'm glad you had a nice day. And what cool stuff you got :)
Unfortunately I couldn't go to Antwerp that day because I had previous engagements. do'h! :( I'm still kicking myself for this
Roseangelo: In Belgium it is custom to have a 10 minute break for each movie. But that's good for me, it means I can buy more candy at the candy stand :p

True, Ecto Jedi. Subtitles can be distracting. Especially two rows of 'em (French & Dutch)... But it's still a million times better than having the movie dubbed poorly by other actors than the originals! :)
Darn, Raph... Looks like a splendid day... Wish I was there... ;)

Is it? That's odd...The only break in a movie I remember was during Titanic so the projectionist could change reels. Even the Lord of the Rings films didn't have a break...
I went to see TMNT last saturday in Brussels and there sure as shell wasn't a break.
What Belgium are you from, Buffy? ;)

I must be honest: It has been a long time that I went to the cinema in Brussels. I don't remember if they had a break or not. I do know that in Hasselt and in Maasmechelen there have breaks. Did you go in the evening? I know that in Antwerp they don't have a break for the last movies of the day (around 10pm)
And woohoo: another tmnt fan from Belgium :p Pleased to meet you:D

Anyone know if this is the same in Japan, too? I took a friend of mine to see one of the Animated Batmans in the theater and he asked if there was an intermission in these movies... I thought he was joking.

Yep, I went at eight in the evening.
But I checked with one of my colleagues (who lives in Bruges) and he said they do breaks there too. Even for a film of an hour...
I used to live in Antwerp for a few years but I don't remember having breaks during the movies I saw there... Maybe some theaters do it there, and some don't.
And maybe Brussels is one of the few cities where they're simply not into breaks ;)
Anyway... I'm pleased to meet you too, Buffy!
Belgian TMNT fans are kind of rare, aren't they? Especially female ones! ;)

When I saw Spirited Away in Japan there was no intermission.

Yes this is true, Belgian fans are very rare. My friends all think I'm nuts :p
I came across an old friend recently and she was telling me how silly I was when I was a little girl when I had a ninja turtles obsession. To which I replied: I still am obsessed. Boy, did she turn red :D

LOL! Way to go ;)
Y'know, I work at a videogame company with plenty of programmers and artists who -unlike me- spend 90% of their free time playing online games...
Still, I'm the geek for being a Ninja Turtles fan...
Very strange... Not one of them's into TMNT. Sometimes I wonder where the heck they all were in the late eighties/early nineties...

Het ergste aan Nederlandse dubs is dat er niet zo veel stemmen zijn. Ik herken meestal wel een stem uit een Nederlandse dub. De stem van Misty van Pokémon is bijvoorbeeld makkelijk te herkennen in andere series.

Yech! I hate dubbed cartoons in Dutch. It sounds so terrible :x
I prefer the original (English) language.
