I remember reading someone said the originial script had the professor written in as a Utrom and in the scene where he was talking to the turtles and Splinter he opens his coat and revels it to them.

You are very apologetic in every post you make. You are allowed to exist, too.
I also read about the utrom thing, that it was cut due to budget problems. If that was the only change it wouldnt have made much sense in the movie, thats why I've always felt there must have been more that was cut, or more likely butchered, out of the movie. The fact that it came out just a year later also makes me think that the movie might not have been what the writer planned for originally. After all, it was the guy who wrote the first one, wasnt it? Him being forced to lighten the tone doesnt explain why he was forced to make it suck.
I feel like TMNT II wasnt a complete idea, like it was one of those movies that fell together haphazardly. One things for sure though; Keeno is cool.

The last place you should be worried about starting trouble is the internet. The internet cannot hurt you unless you are a flirtatious twelve year old girl.
SOTO has its moments. It also has its Kevin Nash...

If you get a video tape called "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Behind the Shells" (I believe that's the name), a youthful Peter Laird said parents complained about the violence in the first movie. That is why Mikey uses sausages instead of his traditional weapon. Poor choice unfortunately. Think about it though, if they had done SOTO as it should have been (dark and closer to the original story line), it would be like a Back to the Future (or Matrix or Pirates of the Caribbean) thing. The third movie would be a continuation of the second movie (ex. the TMNT getting sent off, Triceratons, Federation, Honeycutt). Now THAT would have been a good second and third movie.
I used BTTF as the example because I think, by far, that the BTTF did their triology beautifully. Matrix and Pirates 2nd and 3rd movies (yes I know Pirates isn't out yet) suck compared to their original movie. The BTTF movies you can watch separately without having to watch the other ones, but when put together, they form a beautiful triology.

Yeah, whenever people are trying to talk about a series of movies that has comedic elements but arent goofy enough to be called comedies, and not played straight enough to be action/adventure films I'm always like "You mean like a Back to the Future?". Its the perfect example of a movie you can watch an unlimited number of times, that takes itself seriously enough for you to have an emotional investment in the characters but is still as funny as most comedies.
Its also the movie that after any other movie, I say "that should have been more like Back to the Future". I like both sequels too, though I wouldnt say they are universally accepted in any way.

yeah i have that one behind the shellls with razor and don on side of the vhs cover.yeah i remember some of it just havent watch it for long time.somthing i dont understand parents where complaning about the movie but they take there kids movies like 300 or any other rated r movies.they should brought out two different versions something like todd mcfarlane did for spawn...so one could be for the kiddy's and other teens n adults.i know it won't work but so the turtles story don't gets change alot.cause im worrie when they make city at war into a movie that might not be the whole thing...as like being water down.yes thats only part that bug me from part 2 was they could't use their weapons against the foot.yeah back future was great and 2...i tried put part 3 with em but somthing about that version seems like not back to the future or somthing.maybe its me.but yer right about the bttf part.

I thought that the Utrom bit was cut because Laird didn't want people confusing it with Krang.

Indeed, cause Krang was a bad guy....:P I also heard that Bebop and Rocksteady were supposed to be in it in place of Tokka and Rahzar. That would seriouslly confuse things...:P

I might have confused me into thinking the movie was better than it was. Tokka and Rahzar were a waste, the only thing cool about them was that they enjoyed donuts.

'Cause Pete didn't want anything related to the cartoons in there. ;) :P

I can understand Mr. Laird wanting the cartoon universe separate from the movie universe. If they explained the Utrom thing though, I think people would be smart enough to realize the difference and see that the Utroms were the inspiration for Krang. I'm glad you all saw my point with the BTTF triology. Personally, I think the flow of the three and the ability to watch any one of the three as a separate movie, not needing the others to stand as a movie, makes the triology one of the best out there. Oh yeah, we all know Tokka and Rahzar were the movie version of Bebop and Rocksteady ;)

The movie was supposed to be almost as dark as the first, however, the second draft of the script still reads a little campy. I have never found a first draft of the script, but I think they omitted the Utrom Idea before the movie went to script. Bebop and Rocksteady were killed before script as well because Eastman and Laird pulled EVERY bit of ownership pull they had to keep them out. They wanted the movies far from the cartoon. So basically - Get over it guys... there will never be Krang or any of the Rogues Gallery from the cartoon in ANY of the movies. Sometime within this week I will copy the final few pages so you can see what the final fight between Shredder and the turtles were like.

Oh where is Leo656 when you need him. I need to find the alternate ending to TMNT he wrote. It went something like Shredder gets "Killed" The TMNT are celebrating and then.. The Wolfpac music plays, Kevin Nash jumps out of the pool yelling "WOLFPAC IN THE HOUUUUSE".
I'm sure it had something to do with Kevin Nash's hair saving him from certain death.

I'm just saying dont worry about that stuff. Only internet snobs care about proper grammar and even then they only pretend to care because they are insecure about their own ability to do anything other than form lovely sentence structure.
The fact that TMNT II was intended as one idea and had to be changed into what it became is the main thing that bothers me about it. It doesnt come off as a solid story, it comes off as some scenes that were thrown around, beat up, sexually assualted and then filmed.
I did hear about a deleted scene where the Shredder is supposed to demonstrate something to the foot and everyone gets real excited but instead K-Dawg shows up in his place and it just brings the whole arena down.

I think the 25th Anniversary is always a classic but that means another 8-9 years for 1 and 2. A director's cut or something would definitely be good now. They'd make good money with the excitement surrounding the new movie. People would wnat to see the old stuff to see what it was like back then, at least I think so.
