WOW, just put the along side the old one and you get one awesome home for your turtles....green tubes, a bed, and space from the old one, and a sofa, tv, exercise room, and lab from the new one. AWESOME! (thats be awesome if they actually attached hehe--like, if it had a large hole to connect a green tube to :))

This has to be "playset of the year" for 2003. I'd just like to see the other side of it!

WHOA!! Awwwwwesome! :D
Those are much better pictures then the ones on action-figure.com, mainly cause these pictures zoom in a little more on each of the things the lair does. Too cool!

Yeah! I know right? Maybe they have'nt sculpted the other side yet (this is just a prototype right)? I wonder what it'd look like though, as this newer playset seems to be 95% underground, & 5% street-level stuff. I hope they add more street level things to it, I always did like that about the original playset. What I always loved about the original one, was that it actually looked like the surface of the city! The men-at-work sign stuff, the fence, the fire hydrent, the grating on the sidewalk, the telephone poles all classic stuff. And what made it all the more cooler, was that you could hang out down underground!

That would be cool, but are they even close to being the same size? Like, would you be able to just walk along the streets of the city, smiling to every mutant you see & then jump out & swing on the telephone lines? :D
In all seriousness, would the two of them line-up correctly? You might have to put the older one up on some boxes to have the two streets line-up properly.

That would be pretty awesome. Wouldn't even take alot of work for them, just make a section that goes into the tubing. I think this playset has something over the other one, besides size & such, but it's opened up. The old playset, while cool as hell, was very cramped inside it. I always remember it being difficult to play with all my guys inside it when I had a friend over along with my little sister to play.

You know what's weird? All the turtles have different sculpts, Raph has Leo's. That I can tell. The other ones are switched, too!

Sweet! :o I can hardly wait for it, now my figures won't have to sit on my desk, they can hang out in their lair!

Definately, man. I remeber having a hard time getting the figs in there, so they most often just ended up kicking some Foot ass on the top. :P

I think the older one was cramped, but all the same, I would like some street level stuff, after all, the Foot can only invade tha lair so many times! :P

WOW, i didnt notice the weapons...awesome! I hope they're detachable!
Itd be fun if you could get some older, beat up figures ready for the trash, and used their pieces in don's lab..like broken foot soldier arms, metalhead parts, etc.
I wonder if they'll sell accessory sets of stuff like that...remember the old accessory sets that came with little booklets? does ANYONE know what i mean? lol.

Same here, it was fun though, using the elevator & the de-tatchable sewer lid to have the turtles hop down into the sewer alla the cartoon show. Ah good times, good times...I might go bust-out my Sewer Playset actually- just have to move some boxes around to get at 'it. :o

::nods:: I agree, more street level stuff would kick much ass. They don't have to go all crazy like with the old set (although if they really want to, I won't complain . ), just maybe put a Lampost down, some trash cans, maybe a little fence like the old one had. Hell, Playmates are creative, they can figure something out. Or just go ask Peter Laird, he'll have some kick-ass ideas about toy stuff. :D
WOW, i didnt notice the weapons...awesome! I hope they're detachable!
Weapons? Lemme see...::checks out picture:: Hey! Your right! Sweet! I'd like to think their detatchable- be pretty silly to go to all that effort just to not have them able to come off.

That'd be pretty cool, but in the new show the foot soliders are humans, not robots I think. So having foot solider parts lying around the lab would be a little....nasty .
But I get the jist of what your meaning though- yeah it would be cool to see robot parts lying around the lab, although it'd have to be only a few as the lab doesn't look to be that big.

I remember those! I never owned any, but I saw pictures of them all the time on the backs of some vehicles I got. Lemme check out ninjaturtles.com.....ah-HAH! Here we are. They were called "Gags, Jokes & Weapons" & they have 3 of 'em. Here be the pictures:

I don't see these on eBay that much, they must have been very rare or something. They look cool though, I would have liked to have gotten one or two of the packs.

No problem! :)
Not to get off topic, but I noticed a problem with my old TMNT toys & my new ones: they really don't mesh well. It's like 2 different toylines, the newer one is a little edgier while the old one is a little more wacky. There are also physical things that make'em different. For starters, the turtles are now 5" instead of 4", so they are actually taller then most of their mutant animal allies. That, most of the later released toys have a distinctive cartoony appearence to them, so they really don't work that well together. I still play with'em though. And I've found that the Playmates Earthworm Jim figures fit with the new turtles a teeny bit being about the same size & level of detail.
i want some of those...:(
Me too, I've never seen them as a kid though, only prototype pictures from the backs of vehicle packages. I like the pipe bazooka myself, & that sling-shot with is the same one that came with storage shell donatello- so I guess that means it never originally came with SS Don, & was intstead taken from the weapon packs. It's surprising how many figure's I've gotten that have re-used accessories. For the longest time I always though Halfcourt's pump-gun was unique to him. Then I get Sewer Spittin' Raph & find out the gun originally came with him. The things you learn...

Can someone say all the accessories that came with the first one? Some time i'd like to make sure I have all the pieces...
I can think of:
Manhole cover
Yellow parascope and fire hydrant
circular bed with blue mattress
green tubes
cardboard fence
blue elevator wall (on streetop)
blue elevator and piece used to raise/lower it
two telephone poles with "swing"
stickers for playset
are there more?

OH that. :D
Um, actually I don't know if I was, it's been a few days...
Now that I busted out my old figures to have them fight my friends Ronin Warriors figures I actually think they DO play well together. Some mutants are shorter then the turtles, but hey weird stuff happens when you get mutated. If a human can get mutated with a gecko & still keep his hair, then I figure a mutant camel can be shorter then a mutant turtle.
In the battle, I used my new Mike & Raph figures & they actually went well with the other mutants I was using. It was really fun, I had the new Shredder get the Necronomicon from the Army of Darkness movie & the turtles & their mutant allies had to get it back. It was pretty funny & Shredder looks cool posed with it in his hand.
