Filled with confidence after the battle with Shredder, Mikey decides that the Turtles should become costumed superheroes. The rest of the team thinks that Mike's idea is lame, so the headstrong Turtle decides to make his own costume and patrol the streets alone. Things do not go well, but by episode's end, Mikey makes a new friend - a real superhero!

Episode Twenty Five: "Search For Splinter" Part 1

Now, obviuosly it's very close to the comic, but what do you think will be changed? For instance: will Shredder die like in the coimic Return to New York story ark?

I'm thinking he will "cartoon die" (ex: falls off a building and never see him land, a building explodes with him in it, he falls a long distance into a body of water). Just like many of the Batman villians did in TAS, etc.

::nods:: Yeah, I can see that happening. Like how Clayface "died". He just kinda fizzled away in the ocean & didn't Killer Croc meet an untimely demise in the newer episodes? :-?

In episode 12 "The unconvincing turtleman", it says mikey meets a real superhero, could that be Daredevil? Maybe they will play on the new movies hype. 8)

It would be awesome to see Daredevil in the new toon, but I doubt it'll happen. Daredevil belongs to Marvel, and unless Mirage worked out a deal with them, then the man without fear won't be on the show. However, the superhero has me interested... I'm thinking that maybe it's going to be one of the superhero types from the old Mirage comics (like Metal Head).

I think what they meant by "real superhero", is real to the TMNT & the world they live in, not real as in a real Marvel/DC superhero.

I'm thinking Raptaar from the new Mirage turtle comic book, or maybe Radical, or any of the other old Super heroes from the original TMNT comic book (like azure turtle said).

All these episodes seem to be very closely based on issues of the original comic book, so if there were real superheroes in one of the earlier issues (which I think their were), I'm betting we'll be seeing one of them.

Episode 16, "The King", looks to be cool. I always wanted to read that issue, but got stuck with the kiddie-book version instead. I wasn't aware they were based on real issues until I got my copy of Transdimensional TMNT for the TMNT RPG (they have stats for Kirby in it, as well as how to make those drawings with the stone & they show pieces from the comic in the book).

All appears to be good, GOOD stuff this show. :D

The show sounds like it will stick to the books rather well, so I'm hoping we see alot of that stuff in toy form. Like, I just hope the new line doesn't get "Next-Mutationized" or anything. Meaning, I hope we don't get all human figures & like no mutants, aliens or robots in the new line. As far as I learned from the ninjaturtles site, NM figures had like zero mutant animals (with that gorilla guy in the green suit being an exception). Playmates should know that the original line did very well with mutants in it & I can't see them not making new toy characters up like they used to do.

Only time will tell with the cartoon and the toyline I guess.

Well there are some weird creatures in the show, And Probably utroms too. [Possible spoiler]But if I remember right, The utroms are in 2 last episodes, So if the TMNT are going to space, Maybe we will have a cliffhanger in the end of the first season...[/Possible spoiler]

Thats another thing I was thinking about, perhaps they have two alternate endings to that last epp:

-One if the show won't get a second season where they rescue splinter, learn of their origin and everything's wraped up nice and neat.
-Another if another season is imminent where the TMNT are zapped into outer space with fugitiod and the triceratons.

It would be extremely cool if the first season would end in Turtles being zapped away... I like clifhangers.

I am so excited about the new series! Looks like someone beat me to the super hero ideas, but I definatly agree with you.

I dunno if they're planning on a cliffhanger or not. That would be really cool!
