Well, with that all of Season 6 is on DVD.

Nice to see FF on Season sets to begin with instead of that 3 episode a disc crap they used to do.

hmm...so I expect S1 v.2 to be released after that.

I hope it doesn't mean less dvd sales because of it...

Ditto.

Still, it's good to have a release date for it.

*pauses thoughtfully* Funny that I didn't get a nortification from tvshowsondvd.com, though. I have it fixed where I CAN get those.

Could you post a link to this, please, missnickyray?

Does that mean the Volume one that is currently out is alright to get? Cause I remember people saying they were gonna be starting volume cuts of all season soon (which I figured they would start from begining and work their way up to now).

If it is safe to get Ill pick it up soon. Just didnt want to end up rebuying it later on down the line when they (what I thought) released a full version of volume one..........I know I explained it kinda confusing, but to tired to try to put complete thoughts together :dead: So forgive the duh moments in this post.

Oh, no. The recent Funimation DVDs have been 2-Disc/Dozen-or-so Episode releases (as their new way of doing them). Which they're planning to do on the upcoming re-releasing of Season 1 (the first 2-Disc Set to have the first 12 episodes).
So yes, it's safe to get the FF Vol. 1 (since it's already a 2-Disc routine, having the first 13 episodes of the show).

You're welcome.

As noted, it's apparently Funimation's new way of doing (most) 4Kids DVDs they're currently releasing. As not only has TMNT gotten this treatment with it's last 2 DVDs (Season 4 and Fast Forward Vol. 1), but also have had the same going on for Yu-Gi-Oh, Sonic X and Winx Club (with the latest 1 or 2, and then upcoming ones that have been announced thus far, being 2-Disc Sets).

You mean this FF one? It should be the last 13 episodes of Season 6.

Man they really space those releases out. I wish they could get em out faster.

What pisses me off is they could. If the TMNT movie is coming out in June*Or was it July?* on DVD then these damn toon DVDs can come out faster then once every 6 months. It can't take them more then a week to make those DVDs with how ****** the menus are. And the olds ones they had even less of an excuse because they all used the same menu screen.

I bought FF Vol 1 on release date but haven't watched a single episode yet. I've only put it in the player once to watch the TMNT movie trailer. :p I just didn't enjoy the episodes that much on TV, but I must keep my collection complete.. I've actually been enjoying the episodes of Vol 2, so I'm looking forward to owning them. :D

*doesn't mention how he's just recently finished watching the first disc of the classic TMNT Season 4 DVD*

^ Thats why I bought FF and to tell you the truth, I didn't think volume 1 was that good. However the recent episodes have been steadily improving (I re-watch on 4kids.tv). Can't wait for volume 2

I thought a number of episodes on the first volume were good.

The Bishop/Zixx ep, Turtle Titan, second Inuwashi Gunjin ep, one where Jammerhead switches bodies, Bad Blood and The Journal were all good episodes.

FF got off to a rocky start but since the Bishop ep onward (which is ep 6 or 7 I think), I liked how the eps progressed.

^ I see what you like. As for me, it seems like those eps have a good "idea" for an episode but just didn't quite get the job done. There are a lot of interesting characters but they don't seem to do much

example: Dark turtles -> Great idea but the episode was a little boring
example: Gungeon -> Love the characters but didn't really like the ep

Thought you might just wanna know it's Gunjin. Inuwashi Gunjin.:)

I bought volume 1 so I could see what episodes I missed. I ended up watching them all, even ones I saw already, over again except the first one and the 3rd one. I don't think I'll ever watch the 3rd episode again. It's just unspeakably horrid in my eyes.

Bought volume 1 today after work (along with some goodies) and I gotta say the Fast Forward series isnt half bad. The Gunjin's are pretty neat characters as well as Zixx. The theme song does kinda annoy some but that I can live with for the min it plays.

Or skip it with the chapter skip button, a feature I look forward to with the season one re-release.

And I'm sure I'll get flamed for this but I found the Fast Forward theme to be better then the 2K3 theme. Now before you go "OMFG FF gheyajdfhaiufh" Think about it for a second. Since the theme is supposed to match the series and all I would say the 2K3 intro pretty much fails to capture what the series is like at all as to where the FF intro seems to capture the series pretty much exactly how it is. And along with it actually matching the series I also find the song itself to be less annoying, that's just a personal thing I guess. Either way I skip them, just tossing my 2 cents in.

yeah I could skip them, but since Im watching the show while Im doing other things I just le tit run. Its not horrid but a tad entertaining so it isnt compeltley unwatchable.

Spitfire I will go as far to say that I like the FF song better then both 2k3 and the old toon.

When a song to a cartoon is sung, it should be coherent (sp.) In the old toon, it's just the song, and evil shredder attacks, and saying what each turtle personality is about. In the 2k3 song, it doesn't say much either. The FF cartoon however, says stuff that is really true. In other words, the FF intro song is a real song, and not just a thrown together intro to get to the cartoon. It's lyrics all speak true of what's happening in the show, and that goes a long way in time.

I find it better then both the old cartoon intro and the 2k3 intro.

You know there's no hope for this show's not-even-ethnic-minority fanbase when there now choosing to praise the theme song over the others.

CyberCubed

Well its not like the 2k3 theme was ever really good either, so it doesn't matter. They've always had trouble making a good theme song for this show.

The original animated cartoon had the best song. The rest just get worse as they go along. But love the 2k3 series and FF much better that the OT so song not that important to me. 2k3 series kicked FF butt though.
