I got to say that the fifth season clearly was very epic and jaw dropping. What they were able to put together was nothing short of grand. However, I think the might of been a bit too far with the Tengu Shredder.

First off, I really liked the Utrom Shredder. Yes, he was an alien but I still think he was such a badass. While the Tengu Shredder would probably kill you if you failed, the Utrom Shredder would just cut off a limb or two after each failure just to tortue you. (Stockman of course being the prime example.) That's what I think I didn't completely like about the Tengu Shredder. Sure, he was scary but he didn't have the same kind of badass-ery as Ch'rell did. I guess I didn't like the fact that he all of this magic powers. Honestly, I wish they made the Tengu Shredder more like the Utrom Shredder in that he did his damage by martial arts. I think the Tengu actually only did physical combat with Karai when he choose not to use any magic on her. Other than that, he was just blasting magic everywhere. I liked it but it got a bit ridicious at times.

I still think it would of been insanely awesome to see the Utrom Shredder and the Tengu Shredder duke it out. Oh, that would of sent chills down my spine. Anyway, just my two cents. I guess I miss the Utrom Shredder running the show.

I really liked the fact that there was a real oroku saki and that he was a great warrior. Tengu shredder did use a lot of demonic magic but he would never have been able to use it if he would not have been a great fighter to begin with.

One reason I thought the tengu shredder using magic was ok was because the boys had already physically fought chrell and it would have been the same old thing watching the boys fight the shredder... again. I thought it was a nice change for the turtles to have to find a way to defeat an immortal enemy. Physical fighting has already been done several times and the battle have been quite entertaining, they probably wanted to switch it up.

True shredder vs. Chrell :ohwell: - I think I'd have to go with true

What I didn't like was the whole Changing into Dragons stuff. THe Tengu Shredder is understandable. It's a Demon and can do whatever the hell it wants too. But the turtles are more or less 'human'. I would have found it much more better if the dragons where just some kind of summoned demon or spirit manifestations....

I thought the dragons were summoned spirit manifestations

yeah they were their super concentrated chi or something like that. It was their avatar form. It is what they needed to full fill the whole Legend of five dragons story. The tribunal did it way back when and now the guys had to do it present day. Once the medallions were gone they lost their mystic abilities so really it was just the purpose of the Tengu Shredder,it was the only way to win.

if the turtles hadn't changed where would there bodies have gone? They would have been on the ground in meditation position susceptible to all the monsters that were summoned
