View Full Version : Official "The Fall of Darius Dunn" discussion
The six and a half minute sneak peek (not the preview) is available on the Video-On-Demand page of 4Kids.TV , and I had mixed feelings. After watching the whole clip, I was anticipating the rest of the ep pretty bad. But, it scared the shell outta me after the first minute since it looked like they might make it an all Cody/No Turtles ep. There's very slim potential for something like that to work. But, another annoying character distortion was reintroduced at the same time. The Turtles were leaving to take a certain mutant rat to a certain television show exhibit. :ohwell:

oi what the flippin heck so far the episodes like taken back everything I was starting to like about the show.
The only thing I have to say is that while most episodes come off as one off's they aren't Each episode really is connected if you think about it.
I really want to know whos idea it was to make Splinter be so obsessed with Soaps! was it Peter? I'll merdalizem! I swear! lol
I mean really we have it in this and now the movie he loves soaps.
It's like ok allready we get it.
I do like seeing the bad Triceraton Zuko back though thats cool I'm glad not all the Triceratons are good and that they don't all have the same voice..who ever heard of an entire race of people having the same voice.
Cody's diolog is really bothering me in this episode he's also being a bit smug I would hardly think he'd know anything about being a ninja what after only a few training sessions from Leo.
And Cody doesn't remind me of like anyone who would be an O'neil he reminds me of the child Karai and Chapalen would have! hahaha:lol:
Ok haha @ Mike I don't know about everyone else cause I know allot of people like Michaelangelo but boy oh boy 2k3 mikey had that commin for a looooooong time!
& and Raph your wrong "this isn't over..Dunn" um yeah it seems pretty over Done to me hahah:lol:
This was um pretty tame so far the only thing thats gonna make me watch this Tommrow is to see the Dark TMNT.:ohwell:
Oh well you Win some You Lose Some.

OK why couldn't they have included that intro in the preview online!:o
That was so awesome.
OK already this is better on TV I don't know what it is about watching things online but it's sure takes away from it.
It also seems like they cut some stuff out that I'm noticing on TV that wasn't on the online preview.
I guess I should be so quick to jump the Dunn from now on hahah.
Eh the episodes really not all that bad but lord does It's ninja time and Shell yeah! Right in a row make anyone else's Skin crawl?
It's seriously like they watch the message board just to see what annoys us hahah they wanna make us squirm.
And it's drivin me nuts! I wanna know what happened to Codey's parents!
I sort of get the feeling They trusted Darius as well and he must have killed them.
Wow Mikey finally had a good line!! Wow it took what how many years now with this new Toon that sarcasm remark was just great!
I really want to like the Dark TMNT clones I just wish they where actually some kind of threat.
Does anyone else see them becoming good? I don't know why but it get that feeling about them.
And wowza can't believe that the statue oh April & Casey we've never seen before until now  gets smashed.
Eh the episode really wasn't that bad over all it had allot of good action, it moved the story forward and WE now don't have Darius looking over Codey's back all the time now. The episode also taught a good lesson which is good you don't see much of that these days in kids Toon without it talking down to them like they're mentally challenged.
I have a feeling now that we'll be seeing allot more of the Dark TMNT I hope we do and they're more of a threat then they've been thus far.
I don't understand what they (the Dark TMNT) said to Dunn though about he's lucky they carried him away they found him dangling on a wire.
He seemed just fine to me when he was flying away.
I liked the episode it's still not as bad as the last Jammerhead episode.
Maybe this show fan finally progress some now.
But I'm not so sure after seeing next week's preview Who takes control of Turtle-X hu oh my guess would be either Jammerhead or Darius Dunn.
But as we've all come to know the Previews always suck and make the episodes look really stupid.

Yeah I still don't think it's as bad as Enter the Jammerhead.
The only think I can say that was really good about this episode was the fact that it's moving the story further along.
Which kinda sucks because I've been watching who writes the episodes So far we've had allot of differnt Writters.
Rich Fogel did this one as well as home invasion I liked that episode allot more though.

It was funny watching them lock Surling in the closet, and now Darius is down in the sewers with the dark turtles
And yeah Putrescent I think I could see them becoming good, they really don't have much stock as bad guys I caught the statue too and I would love to see a still of it
I also caught what looked like a Christmas tree in the greenhouse scene when he covered up the weapons. I thought that was kinda funny
Next weeks preview didn't tell me much but what caught my eye is the way it looked. I bet Darius will come right back and try to get Turtle X he is mad and is trying to prove a point now
I Really do what to know what happened to his parents. I want to see a flashback!

i liked the episode as a whole minus two aspects
1. I don't like watching the two robots fight. Too power ranger-ish for me
2. If the cops already side with Dunn after the first "exposing" went wrong, why wouldn't Don record the next battle, and have Raph record the Triceratons receiving weapons? If Don can't get a smaller video recorder attached to his wrist or something, why not put one in the Turtle X. That way the town will know Dunn is evil. Considering the fact that he controls O'niel Tech, and is Cody's legal guardian, you think it would help Cody and the turtles hugely. He would then no longer be able to run the company and boss Cody around legally.

One of my least favorites of the season. I really hate Turtle X. And I don't like Darius (maybe if he'd been played by Tony Jay he'd have been better). The only thing I liked was the TMNT switching opponents to take out the Dark Turtles. Some good one liner's there.
Raph: I always wanted to kick Mikey's butt!
Mike: At least you're better looking than Raph.
Dark Raph: You really think so?
Mike: It's called sarcasm! (POW! SOCK! GOODNIGHT! Go Mikey!)
Leo: Look out behind you!
Dark Don: That won't work! I'm cloned from the smart one, remember.
(Dark Don gets clobbered by Mike from behind.)
Leo: Yeah, I remember.
Don: This is what I call I two pronged attack!
(See visual for truly groan inducing bad pun involving the defeat of Dark Leo, but it did remind me that TMNT really does have a record of groan inducing puns, not just FF.)
I didn't comment on last week's ep but the fight from that one was probably the best of the season. Good to see Triceraton villians again. I've been hoping for them even since this weird season begain. But isn't Zuko the name of some Batman crime boss?

Yes. If I remember right, Tony Zuko is the man who killed Robin's parents in Batman the animated series (90s toon). I'm not sure if that is consistent with the comics or not though. From what I remember he was pretty much a thug like tthis Triceraton.
This was an average episode for me. Not bad but not great. I would really like to see more involvement of triceratons though.

I liked this episode. I know some people have a problem with Cody taking a greater importance over the Turtles but for episodes like this I don't mind since Darius is directly connected to Cody.
- I was surprised when Darius pulled the gun out on Zukko at the beginning of the episode, and actually fired on him. If Zukko didn't dodge he would have been killed, its nice to see that the writers still try to push the boundries at times even though 4kids wanted them to tone down the violence.
- Good to see Darius finally revealed to be making weapons, and dealing with the Triceratons at that. It fits with everything from the beginning of the season, so let's hope the finale is worth it whenever we see Darius or Zukko again.
- Dark Turtles return, I still like them. The fight scenes were rather short but I liked what I saw. The "stars" floating around Dark Raph's head was cheesy and they did that with Triple Threat in one of the early eps, shame that remained since IMO it drags it down. Aside from that I enjoyed how Leo duped the evil Don, and how Donny took the evil Leo and pretty much smashed him into a wall with the machine.
- Cody using Leo's lessons to get the upperhand on Darius was predictable but acceptable nonetheless.
At this point you have to wonder what O'Neil Tech is going to do with all the weapons, and if Cody will become the full owner once they tell the Peacekeppers what's been going on. It seems to me that Darius/Dark Turtles will return near the finale of this season since there's only 7 eps left.
There was stuff implied in this episode that Cody's parents are dead, at least from what I thought. I would have liked Darius to say he killed them, it would give a new shade to an already interesting character.

Also the Fire Nation Prince from The Avatar. :)
I'm sort of up in the air about this episode. There were great one-liners (especially ones from Mike), and I also liked that they changed tactics in order to fight the Dark Turtles. However, I'm not fond of Turtle X, and I was annoyed that Cody was talking out his entire plan as he was fighting Darius.
I liked the April/Casey statue. It's a shame it got smashed. Oh well.

Not too cool of an episode. I really hated the slapstick dark turtle fight, and the robot fight. Other than that no major gripes.

This episode actually wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be. All of the Turtles were in character and when they weren't around Cody their exchanges were pretty amusing. However, Cody still annoys the hell out of me (especially when it's HIM saying, "It's ninja time!" and, "Shell yeah!" - UGH!) and there was way too much of him in this episode.

This episode wasn't that exciting.

I thought it was pretty interesting:
-The Dark Turtles battle was kind of corny, but still humorous and pretty enjoyable, and I did like the one-liners at the end.
-Cody uses the training/philosophy the turtles gave him to overcome his Uncle, and though it's a predictable cliche, it still gives me a sense of excitement.
-The ending, with Darius escaping after the truth is learned about him and being holed up with his clones was humorous, and it'll be interesting to see more action from him later on in the season.

I'd hardly say "ALL" he's said it once let's not blows out of perportion becfore the actual show does.
One time of him saying it was more than annoying...let's hope he doesn't get "ALL" of the lines like that.

I really don't see what was too bad about this episode. People complain way too much about Cody, but he's a lot like his great-grandparents and they don't complain about them. Is it because they're classic characters? Meh.
Everything about this episode was cool. It's probably my third or fourth favorite episode of Fast Forward.

I'm complaining about the bad diolog given to codey not him as a character.
I've had no problems with the kid untill todays episode that I can really think of.
Codey's lines "It's ninja time" "Let's kick shell" "What the shell was that!" "Gotta check this out Ninja Style" seem very out of conext coming from him have other characters besides the turtles ever even said those lines before? I even hate it when the turtles say it so thats not saying much I just hate those catch phrases.
Also Codey's suposed to be supper smart right? You'd think he'd be smart enough to pick up on Biggles line Boulderall (which I assume should have been balderdash) I've never even heard of the term Boulderall before. But that's beyond the point Codey isn't stupid and I wish they wouldn't switch it out as him being some dummy now.
Obviously just ask anyone around here I've been an avid Fast Forward supporter.
But I don't blindly fallow things This alone and many other comments I've made about past weeks episodes and The Lost Season Comments I made should be more than proof enough of that.

Yeah, the whole "be like water" thing is a pretty cool marital arts lesson to put in a kids' cartoon, even if the dialogue did beat us over the head with it.

A pretty decent episode. Nothing too good, or too bad. You guys basically covered the bad dialogue part, so I can skip that. I was really praying they wouldn't say Ninja Time again...
I kinda hate how stupid the Dark Turtles act. Considering they're clones of the original, you'd think they'd be a little less dopey than that. I guess it has something to do with them being evil and all that. I was disappointed in the first episode where they showed the Dark Turtles in action, but they actually fight better in this episode. The fights between the turtles were actually the highlight of this episode for me.
I was actually a bit surprised at the amount of shooting involved in this episode. I mean, besides Darius pulling out a gun, there were quite a bit of lasers flying back and forth during the Cody vs Darius fight.

Codey's lines "It's ninja time" "Let's kick shell" "What the shell was that!"
In all honesty I'd rather Cody say "It's Ninja Time!" than the Turtles.
It fits more in character for him than for any of the Turtles to say it. Mikey is the only one that's acceptable saying a line like that anyway, it always bothered me when Leo/Raph said that.
Thankfully they don't do it too often so if we're going to have any bad dialouge, at least dump it all on Cody. He's a 14 year old kid so at least we know he can act like a dorky kid at times by spouting those lines.

I felt this episode was decent, seeing as I pretty much expected that. I'm not gonna get into the dialogue because that's already been addressed. I just didn't feel Cody saying "It's ninja time!," was in character, especially seeing as he was in the Turtle-X vehicle at the time... I think I prefer the Turtles saying it more than Cody even though the phrase can get old after a while. My point is: He should've been at least dressed like a ninja while saying it.
Anyhow, I was glad to see the Dark Turtles again because I kinda missed 'em and I actually thought they were pretty cool villains since the first time they appeared.
The humor wasn't overdone in this episode, I felt, and neither was the action. In a nutshell -- for lack of a better term -- there was really only two major fight scenes, which was all right with me. I was kinda hoping there would be more, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case...:(
When the Turtles put Serling in the closet, I chuckled a little bit. It makes me wonder if something like that will happen again.
I didn't mind seeing Darius once more cuz he's an all right character in my book. I was glad Cody defeated him in a non-traditional way because I didn't see that coming. :)
My verdict on this episode: three Turtle philosophy lessons out of five. Next week's episode looks like it'll be exciting, so I'll be sure to record it.

Alright!!! Now we're talkin!! Now this show is going places!! The baddies are all basically buddy buddy. So Darius has been working with Zucco and he's employed
the clones! Ooh! That was cool to see Darius finally getting his butt kicked!! HAHA! "You're fired!"... Cody's now gotta clean up all the messes Darius made while he was CEO.
The ony downside to the ep was Cody saying "It's Ninja Time" and saying "Shell.." alot.
Next week Turtle X goes on a rampage eh? Hmmmm...
My fave line: "Houston, we have bad guys!" - Raph

Hah, I knew it. This line of dialog was said by Cody in this episode:
"How could you, Uncle Darius? My parents trusted you. I trusted you."
And here is what I wrote last August after watching the first two episodes of FF:
Plot: Well, I can't say much about it now since the series just started, but the whole "Darius the evil uncle" storyline doesn't exactly put me at the edge of my seat. I expect some "shocking" revelation for Cody complete with "How could you? I trusted you!" Booooring. Hopefully this 'Dark TMNT' thing people keep talking about turns out better.
Looks like I'm psychic. Or the FF writers are just that damn preditable. As for the Dark Turtles I fail to see how they had the same moves as the real TMNT. And I really wish they would look closer to the originals and weren't color-coded. Maybe like the guys looked in "The Freaks Come Out at Night" when they were possessed.

When I saw the title, I was unsure of what to expect from the episode. Would the turtles really defeat uncle Darius already? I thought, "How can they defeat Darius already? He hasn't even been a villian for an entire season." But then I figured since FF is most likely not going to have as many seasons as the original 2k3, it's possible.
Then of course, here comes the cliche final battle when the villian escapes battered and bruised screaming "We'll meet again" or "This isn't over!" UUGGGHHH!
No since Darius has been discovered, maybe we can expect more hardcore tricks and traps from him.
